After getting some new cards, I am ready for another tournament! Unfortunately, Juan wasn't there (the person who creamed me last time) so no rematch. However, the one that beat him was present. Before it all started, everyone was practice dueling but me. I did not want to reveal my deck and strategies yet. As most of you have been waiting for...here is my deck.

Twin-headed behemoth (good for sacrifices and protection)
Gray wing (can be deadly when its attack is boosted high)
Troop dragonX3 (same as twin-headed behemoth, but better)
Jinzo (no traps!)
WoTBF (searched for monsters I need)
Magician of faith (brings back my magic cards)
Cyber jar (one of my personal favs)
Sinister serpent (helps out with my gray wing/ magic and traps)
Fiber jar (it gets me out of jams)
Penguin soldier (it helps clear the field)
Kycoo (I didn't realize its power until recently)

Dragons rage (the ultimate booster for dragons)
As some of you may know, my deck has changed a bit but lets see how it does..
1st match: Sammy Ishihara (me) vs. Eddie (the guy who beat Juan)
I was kind of shocked to face the person who defeated the guy who beat me badly
but in Yu-Gi-Oh you must never give up I always say. While Eddie was practice
dueling, I saw him do some nasty combos and that made me even more nervous as
the match started.
-1st duel: I went first as I put troop dragon face down and mirror force also. Eddie use harpies feather duster and attacked troop dragon. I used troops effect as he set 2 m/t cards down and ended. I put out kycoo and he used torrential tribute to counter. I had nothing to do but end. He did a direct attack with his own kycoo and la jinn. I placed swords in an attempt to stall. I later got lord of d. and fluting my tyrants but he used dark hole and kept on with the direct attacks. He was introduced to ordeal and it helped a bit, but not enough. -winner=him -2nd duel: once again troop dragon saved me and I got jinzo out pretty early followed by lord of d. fluting tyrant dragon and blue eyes. He defeated my jinzo with dark ruler and I activated imperial order plus royal command followed by dragons rage a few turns later. My dragons took over the rest of the duel. -winner=me -3rd duel: Spear dragon plus royal command and did some early damage. Of course, next turn it was defeated by an injection fairy lily. I drew fiber jar and he was activated next turn, and a drew spear dragon again and kept up with my own attacks. Eddie used cards like raigeki to attack my life points some more. I got out jinzo thanks to troop dragon and reborned spear dragon. I was getting really sick of his traps, I couldn't take a big direct attack from him, so I ended. He summoned kycoo and I trap holed it. So Eddie set a total of 4 magic and traps face down. I was aware he had 3 torrential tributes but the tides turned! I drew heavy storm and used raigeki to do a final direct attack. -winner=me
Eddie and I shook hands and he went over with some other guys to play magic. Other guys were giving me high fives and pats on the back for beating the one of the top duelists in our area. If you guys remember my friend Steve from last time, he got got 1st round by some guy named Andrew. I was hoping to have a shot at him. There was also some good news for me. Since it was an uneven number of players, someone can just move on without playing a match for each round until its even. I happened to be the lucky one! So I sat out in the 2nd round and moved on to the semi-finals!
Semi-Finals: Sammy Ishihara (me) vs. Joseph (some kid I just met) This kid seemed a little young, and the person he beat was his little brother so I was a bit cocky from beating Eddie. I got it together and started a match with a few twists.
-1st duel: Ordeal bought some time before I got out jinzo. Joseph used bazoo on my jinzo and followed with a direct attack with a kycoo. I just didn't draw my dragons and if I defeated bazoo, Joseph would resurrect it somehow. -winner=him -2nd duel: I used a raigeki and giant trunade combo and attacked twice with gray wing (fueled by sinister serpent) for 2600 damage. According to the rest of the duel, Joseph got a bad hand and I fluted my dragons out and finished him off, taking out bazoo as well ^^. -winner=me -3rd duel: Joseph got Gemini and I used swords to buy some time. The way I defeated him was deja vu as I used imperial order and royal command after fluting my tyrant dragons. He happened use dark hole after I stopped paying for imperial order but I still countered back with spear dragon and gray wing saving me. -winner=me
Not only have I proceeded very far in the tournament but I am a finalist. I didn't really care if I won or lost this match. Either way I would get a booster pack. Before the the other semi-finalists were decided a funny occurrence happened. Just as one duelist was going to attack, the timer ran out. And since the winner is decided by who has the most life points at the end of the timer (this was duel #3 by the way) this presented a problem. Andrew had nimble momonga out in defense and Jason had summoned skull ready to attack. I don't know who was right but nimbles effect would of worked, Andrew would have won due to the life point gain. But Jason said the timer went off before he said attack. It was so funny to see their purple faces yelling at each other. Finally the owner of the shop decided to settle it with a coin flip. All I will say is, Jason won.
Final match: Sammy Ishihara (me) vs. Jason
Since he was a finalist like me, I knew this guy was good. I got a feeling I had to give it my all on this one.
-1st duel: me getting nervous must affect my dueling. I got bad hand and Jason had nimble momongas. Beat down decks annoy me...goblin attack force, summoned skull, and my monster reborned jinzo took me out. -winner=him -2nd duel: finally! one the first turn I fluted my dragons and the following turn set and activated dragons rage with royal command. Jason was amazed at my luck as I took out his life points fast. -winner=me -3rd duel: this was it....it seemed like every thing I did, Jason seemed to counter (stupid momongas). My life points got low and I had a jinzo ready to go thanks to troop dragon. However, he had monsters like summoned skull, and hayabusa knight out. All I needed was raigeki or dark hole to win. In my hand was heavy storm and flute of summoning. I drew mystical space typhoon and ended as I took the beating. -winner=him
I shook his hand and said "good duel" as he agreed and left the shop. The prize was two boosters to 1st place and one to 2nd. I only got 2nd coin toss in my LOD pack. It seems no one there knows about the tin version of jinzo coming out this month since Eddie really wanted mine. The only thing I wanted from him was Ring of Destruction. He refused but said that he can get another for $15 from a friend and will trade it next weekend to me. No I am not stupid, to me a jinzo is a jinzo. I will be satisfied with the tin version. The other card I plan to save up for is magic cylinder. If your wondering what happened to my old one...I traded it for mirror force and royal command. After the tournament I faced Andrew ( the guy who beat Steve) and I seemed to own him with jinzo. The thing that gets me is that if Andrew won the coin toss, I may have gotten 1st place. The chance sure would have been a lot higher. But whatever, I'm still happy. I plan to stop tourneys for a while until I save up or get the cards I want for my complete deck. For anyone's curiosity, they are( note the ones with * next to them are cards I don't need but would definatly put in my deck if I came across them): magic cylinder, RoD, torrential tribute, injection fairy lily, yata* , barrel behind the door*, harpies feather duster*, and nobleman of cross out*
