Well, it’s time for the tournament report… I arrived at the toy store to find so many people. I was signed up for a quick friendly with a 12 year old with dark black hair, braces, blue eyes and a pair of dark rimmed glasses… Friendly: Me versus some nerd. (rares) This person swore a lot. He used Susa soldier and many other rares. His deck was stuffed with holos, so he was easy prey. I beat him using no rares. He cried at the end because of this. I wasn’t hard to wipe out the last few life points he had. No secrets revealed. After the friendly, many people were impressed as he was a high ranked fighter. Now the tournament began, and the first round started. Me versus a ten year old twerp called Ben (Rubbish basic cards.) Well, we began the match. He used a 1300 attack dragon. I used dragon manipulator from my side deck that I had placed in to take control of the reptile and did direct damage to him. He summoned a red eyes to the field later on in the duel, but change of heart and summoned skull, combined with monster reborn gave me a great chance to attack his LP. He was down to couple and I ended the first match with a cyber jar. Round two and round three were easy. My opponent forfeited. The kid just couldn’t beat me I guess. I won, 3-0. After the first round, several competitors, including my next opponent went off to buy new cards. I was scared someone would buy a god, but luckily no one did. My next opponent before the elite was a boy again with braces and brown hair called Lawrence. Me versus Lawrence (Destiny board and dragons) The first round was long. He began using several cards I hadn’t heard of from Pharonic Guardian. After I cleared his field of Siearyu, Blue eyes and Red eyes, along with the annoying Lord of D., I won with a few quick hits from my remaining monsters, my dark zebra I swapped with dragon manipulator won this for me. In the second round I started winning once more. Ookazi, Poison mummy, Driving snow, mask of dispel, I used all the weapons I had. Eventually after a logn round he was able to use magician’s of faith to use more magician’s of faith etc. to bring back the destiny board pieces I destroyed. I never drew my card destruction in time! The third round was the hardest and hottest. We were the last before the elite. After winning my wayb through, he got a lead with his dragons. I used my dragon manipulator AGAIN to defeat him. It wasn’t easy, but with a blue eyes and two of the skulls I won. I had now got through to the elite. Five other competitors were there, along with Lawrence, who was my main enemy. My next rival, Josh, an exodia player with several powerful cards was my opponent. Me versus Josh (Exodia fanatic) Me, being a newbie and the youngest left felt taunted, but kept going. We began the first round. Supposedly, the next round had no rules. I was able to defeat him in the first round. It wasn’t hard as all his cards fell to my mask and my skulls. The second round was long. He used luster dragon to wipe me out. His different dimension capsule Was stopped, and with ym freshly stocked supply of minor goblin official I won! The third round I was scared, he had a smile on his face and had added some cards from the side deck. He was able to summon exodia and defeated me, but I won through with a 2-1 victory. It was the next round. My dad was at a café far away, so I had to the match without supervision. When I was fixing my deck for the semi-finals against some of the others, it seemed difficult, but not as difficult as it turned out. Lawrence and a boy called Jonathan. I fought Jonathan while another competitor I forgot to mention, named Danny, got through, and it was all against all from now, but what was going to happen shocked me, when the shop keeper announced that it was going to be a two on two, and the two team winners would fight in the final! The only problem was, it seemed that my team mater was going to be none other than Lawrence! He had the ability to beat me and still get through, afetr racking up points. The match was one round. Tag team match. Me and Lawrence began the match with a luster dragon and summoned skull each because of the ultimate offerings we had stuffed in our decks. But, what I didn’t know was that, apart from the usual cards I fought last time, he’d changed his deck to exactly the same as mine! The duel continued, we both used man-eater bugs, when I realised the strategy, he’d copy everything I did and beat me with a destiny board! He purposely let the opponent take his destiny board with exchange, and it seemed doomed, as Lawrence fell to the power of Josh’s deck. Me and two others, and I wiped Josh with some other cards I’d stuffed into my deck. Then, it was me versus Jonathan, and I beat him using a spear cretin/Cannon soldier combo to win. Me and Lawrence would fight in the final. I can’t remember the exact match, but I won it. I gained a destiny board and some boosters for my work, and my dad bought me Ra. He didn’t believe what had happened, but it was the end of a good tournament. A weird, but fun one. _________________________________________________________________ It's fast, it's easy and it's free. Get MSN Messenger today! http://www.msn.co.uk/messenger
