This one was like the previous week, but instead of facing J.T. 3rd round I faced the other stores best Nathan J. So here we go. Round 1: The King of Spades vs Chris (some sort of beatdown variant) This kid looked to be oh 13-14. He was VERY confident that he was going to win. My friend walked by and asked if I was going to win and Chris nodded his head no, that I wasn't going to win. Well surprise to him (and not to me) I dominated the first game. Game 1: So I won the dice roll and decided to go first. It was a nice hand. I had a Cannon Soldier, Ring of Destruction and afew other nice cards. Well I set the Ring and Cannon Soldier in face up attack in hopes that the kid would play a Gemini so I could blow it to bites with the Ring, well instead he set a monster face down defense. Well it went back to my turn and I Change of hearted his monster, it was a Troop Dragon, weee -_- So I attacked with both my Cannon Soldier and his dragon, and then launched his dragon off for 500 more. Then I set a Nimble Momonga in face down defense. Well with his new Troop Dragon he attacked my Momonga giving me another 1000 LP’s and 2 more monsters on the field. Went to my turn and I had nothing to play so I passed. Went to his turn and summoned another Monster, a big hitter, Goblin Attack Force, so he attacked with both killing my Momonga’s. Went to my turn I Ring’d his Goblin, Raigeki’d the field, Monster Reborn'ed my Barrel Dragon and used 2x Limiter Removals. GG Me: 1 - 0 Game 2: He went first and started out strong. He played a Spirit Reaper face down I later found out. So he passed, I played Cannon Soldier, attacked and well ya nothing happened. His turn he Change of Heart’d my Cannon Soldier, attacked with it and a Witch of the Black Forest. He then launched off my Cannon Soldier. Went to my turn and I played Raigeki, then a Nimble Momonga face up attack and I attacked for 1000. Back to his turn he played his own Cannon Soldier and launched it off for 500. I was surprised he didn’t attack first, but then again that would of started the Momonga swarm. So went to my turn, I used Graceful Charity and discarded a Timeater. I then used Monster Reborn on it, set a face down Limiter Removal, attacked with the Momonga, then attacked with Timeater and Redlined. GG Me: 2 - 0 Round 2: The King of Spades vs Bobby B. (some sort of hand control beatdown thing) So I’d like to say something about this kid. He annoyed me. I did the required 4 pile shuffle, I shuffled after and before that, he wanted me, and yet when I handed him the cards to cut, he reshuffled me deck, then cut it about 20-40 damn times. I’m not a cheater and he was doing this. This kid took about 8 minutes to do all of this so when the match started I was pissed off. Game 1: So this kid was probably cockier then the kid from round 1. He was chuckling the whole time when he drew his hand. So I won the dice role and decided to go first. Honestly I don’t remember much of this game since I was pretty mad, I just remembered he only got me down to 7000 life points, played a Ax of Despair on his Gemini Elf, I MST’d the ax, and my Barrel Dragon’s effect killed his Spirit Reaper, and another of his defense monsters and it attacked two turns in a row to finish the game. Wow that was a long sentence 0_0 Game 1 is mine. K so this guy shuffled even MORE then the first match. He shuffled and re-shuffled and cut my deck for about 10 minutes. I mean DANG. Game 2: So he went first. He set 2 M/T’s and a face down defense monster. He passed. I put down 1 M/T and summoned Cannon Soldier, well to my surprise he Solemn Judgment’ed it 0_0 He paid 4000 of his life points to kill my lil old machine...umm o.k. So I MST’d his other face down cards which was Mirror Force, oh ya ^_^ Well I passed. He then summoned flipped his monster and attacked me for 700. Went to my turn, I some how did 1600 to him >.< Don’t remember. Went to his turn and he put some monster face down in defense. Well I Prematured my Timeater and he Ring of Destruction’ed it. Well then he was screwed. That took him from 2400 LP’s to 500 LP’s. Went to his turn and he put another monster face down. Well lucky me I drew a Cannon Soldier and launched him off for the win. After our match I heard that lil kid telling his friends on how he “would have summoned his Fiend Mega Cyber to kill my Timeater” and how I got lucky and blah blah blah. Well kid I got one thing to say, yes you should have summoned that monster and no, I didn’t get lucky. Round 3: The King of Spades vs Nathan (hand control beatdown) So afew more comments on this guy. He is IMO the second best duelist at the store and even in this state. He’s hella good I must say. Game 1: So I went first. Had a fairly decent hand. I just remember that my deck worked the way it was supposed to, at maximum efficiency and beat Nathan without to much trouble seeing as good as he is. Game 2: He started out first. He groaned and I asked him if it was a good hand. He said it was a bad one. He was right but with the luck of draws he was able to turn that around QUICKLY. He Time Sealed me 2 turnes in a row, Confiscated me, and Delinquent Duo’d me. Ouchies. I was screwed. I didn’t stand a chance that game. Game 3: I lost this one due to my error. Well I won’t say I would have won the game, but it would have indeed gone differently. I screwed up with his Injection Lily’s effect and well she ended up killing me. It stunk that I lost but I must say it was the best duel I had all day ^_^ Props: For making it to the quarter finals For getting a nice amount of points for getting there For J.T. once again letting me use his Jinzo in the tournament For pulling Yata-Garaso in my entry pack at the tournament on Saturday Slops: For losing to Nathan (very good game though my friend) For losing first round at the South point tournament If your ever at Hobby Town at East Park or South point, give me a shout, I’m always happy to talk and to give a good pawning.
