We had a second and much smaller tournament. I decided to join with my Gravekeeper's Deck because I was very confident. Well, I made a Gravekeeper's Deck before and decided to tear it appart because I wanted to try something else as my second deck. I got tempted to play it again so I did. I changed it to my taste. When tournament time came, the meta was so much different it didn't even compete. Here is the tourney report:

Round 1

Me vs. Blaine

This kid usually plays Heroclix so he spends all his money on that instead of Yugioh. He's a really cool guy...AND he has Cinnabar City Gym Leader's name which I must say is totally awesome. On to the match.

match 1

I start off strong with Necrovalley and Magic Reflector. He gets scared so he plays face down. I rip him apart with Spear Soldier. He then sets a monster again and it's my turn.. I then draw and attack with Gravekeeper's Assailant and it turns out to be Spirit Reaper. He then draws and tributes the Reaper for Jinzo. Attacks my Assailant and ends. I then top-deck a Snatch Steal and quickly use it. Summon Gemini and attack him. After this, he's pretty much screwed.

match 2

Same thing. I didn't let him get Jinzo out though. He tried the whole Reaper thing again just to get Crossed out.

Round 2.

Me vs. Jesse

I don't play him much as I used to cause he doesn't come very often. Last time I saw his deck he was playing Warrior Rush.

match 1

This started off in his favor by me attacking his Nimble. He quickly got 2 more. Those Nimbles truly get to me. That is why I normally play 2 Crossouts. He quickly flip summoned them and summoned Gearfried. Special Summoned The Rock Spirit and hit me hard. I then Dark Holed. Used Pot of Greed. Drew Necrovalley. I summoned Gravekeeper's Spear Soldier and attacked him for 2000. He then drew and set a card face down. I drew and summoned Assailant. Attacked with Spear Soldier and activated Cyber Jar's effect. He got Gearfried, Goblin and some other magics. I drew Guard, Mirage, and some other stuff. It was his turn and I got to use Mirages effect. He Crossed out my Guard and again hit me hard. It was almost game for me. I drew MST and quickly used it on Mirage. I set another monster face down and ended. He drew and attacked me with Gearfried. He ran into the 2000 defense of my other Assailant. I then top-decked Raigeki and quickly used it. I attacked him for another 2000. It got really close but he got me with the Waboku. He then draws. Uses Feather Duster, Raigeki. Summons The Rock Spirit to finish me off.

match 2

I side decked my Hand Disruption deck. It wasn't as complete and I wasn't as confident because it still had some Gravekeeper Cards in it. This was probably the downfall of the match because I didn't take enough time to think about the side deck. He totally owned me. When I finally got Jinzo out he simply used Scapegoat. He then owned me with Raigeki. He special summoned Marauding with another one. He then Special Summons Rock Spirit and equips it with United. Reborns his Cannon Soldier he discarded from Graceful which I forgot to mention earlier. He killed me.

I now know that I need to fix my deck alot. Or I don't know, maybe I got unlucky. I don't know. I will probably add some Royal Tributes and Teraforming to speed up the deck. Jesse also opened my eyes to add Scapegoat. For my Hand Disruption I will play less monsters, Waboku's and Goats. Bunch of removals will also help me out. The good thing was that I didn't pay for the tournament because something weird happened and they didn't ask me to pay which is great. I got my pack for losing and I pulled out crap. Oh well...maybe next time. I will play this deck in tourney for sure the next time I get a chance to.
