I am a loyal fan of Pojo (everyday need-to-read). Let me start off by saying that this years Mall Tour was much better than the setup they had last year. The 4-person tournament system that was used inorder to duel the experts (the Men In Black) was more exciting and more true to the heart of what Yugioh is all about...dueling! On to the tournament...I arrived early, registered and waited for my turn to duel. The place was intense, besides the 3 tournament areas there were individual duels going on everywhere! I decided to duel inorder to warm up...4 duels, 4 wins. After that it was time for my 4-person duel. My group of four had a mix of player levels, 1 seasoned, 1 above-average, and 1 newbie. _______________ My first duel was against "above-average" (Warrior Deck) Me - 7400 Him - 0 He won the coin toss and placed Robbin Goblin and Skull Lair down along with Goblin Attack Force. I started out with NecroValley, GK Chief, GK Spy, Book of Moon, Pot of Greed, Snatch Steal. I played PoG and got Royal Tribute and Magic Jammer. I set Necrovalley, Magic Jammer, Book of Moon and GK Spy. He drew/set Hayabusa Knight, equipped it with Fusion Blade flipped Robbin Goblin and attacks, which flips my GK Spy, he loses 700. I search for/set GK Spear Soldier (thank you Spy). I draw Nobleman of Crossout. I activate Book of Moon on his HK, then NoC it (bye bye). I then Snatch Steal his GAF. I tribute summon GK Chief with GK Spy, pull GK Spy back from the grave and attack with all four. 8400 damage...ouch! 2nd duel: seasoned guy (Zombie Deck) Me - 6200 Him - 0 This one was a bit more of a challenge but in the end he relied heavily on his graveyard. With NecroValley out he had nowhere to go to. He tried to destroy NecroValley but I had Magic Reflector on it and Terraformed another once he finally got to my first one. By that time he was out of magic destroyer cards. For the final blow I used Royal Tribute to eliminate Fushioh Richie, Royal Keeper and Armored Zombie. I then used 2 Rite of Spirit/GK Spy/GK Chief series of cards to end up with 5 monsters. Oh, and I'm glad I Typhooned his Mirror Force before I attacked! After I won, I got a card with a time to duel their experts, I also got a pack of the new Magician Force. On the way to the expert duel I opened it...are you ready...Dark Magician Girl!! Man it was my lucky day! _________________ My Millenium Puzzle Duel Me - 8000 Him - 0 This guy had an awesome magician deck; loaded with all the latest Magician Force cards. He hadn't lost a duel all day, or so he told me. He won the toss, drew his cards, set Skilled Dark Magician with an Axe of Despair and set Mystical Space Typhoon. I drew NecroValley, Magic Reflector, Book of Moon, Royal Tribute, GK Spy, Pot of Greed. With PoG I drew GK Chief and Sasuke Samauri. I set Necrovalley with Magic Reflector, Book of Moon and GK Spy. I also play Royal Tribute and catch him with 3 monster in his hand. He drew another MST. He activated both to destroy my Necrovalley and Magic Reflector, then attacked. I countered with Book of Moon (so sorry, not); he ends his turn. I draw another Necrovalley, set Sasuke Samauri, flipped GK Spy, pulled GK Spear Soldier, tribute GK Spy for GK Chief, pulled GK Spy back from the Graveyard. Sasuke Samaurai too out his now face-down-defense Skilled Dark Magician; he was wide open for attack...6100. He drew Magic Canceller (level 5 monster). It was over...VICTORY!!!!! I was sooooooooo happy. He changed the strap of my duelist ID card from the standard black to the "Millennium Puzzle Winner" one and I got the mini-version of the Yugi "Millennium Puzzle" necklace. I also got to sign the Duelist King book. We shook hands and he complimented me on my deck, cool. As I walked back to the main events area, it was amazing how many duelists would sort of pay reverence to people who had the mini-puzzle...sort of a celebrity-like feeling. I finished off the day by dueling individual players, swapping cards and dueling stories; it was great! I also watched the Magicians Workshop presentation. There you can get tips and ideas, and test your knowledge by answering questions. If you answer two correct questions in a row you can win a pack of Pharonic Guardian. I got two right and got a pack...are you ready...Lava Golem!! What a day! If the Mall Tour comes to your area go to it, its a blast!
