It may be a bit much, but
it's a Stall Deck. Onward to the report.
First off, since there was 40
kids there, there was 4 sections in the tournement. I was in Section III. My
first duel was difficult.
Me vs. Kevin (Exodia Deck)
I told you
difficult. I went first and drew Germ, Worm Beast, Arsenal Bug, Garuda, and
Skull. I drew for my Draw Phase and picked up Gravity Bind. I set GB and Germ.
He goes and summons Sangan and plays Pot of Greed. He attacks and loses 500 LP
already. I Spec. Summon my other Germ and draw Oni Tank. I sack my Germ for
Skull. I attack and he takes Exodia's head. I wasn't worried though. He draws
and sets a monster and another card. I had a feeling it was a Backup Soldier. I
draw and set my Trap Master (which is what I drew). Then I activate my Gravity
Bind. He goes and sacks his face-down monster, a Witch. He takes Exodia's Left
Arm. The monster he summoned was an Earl of Demise (how ironic). He ends his
turn and I draw Block Attack. Just what I need!!! I use it and summon my Worm
Beast and attacks his EoD. He moves and sets another monster. I draw Soul
Release and flip Trap Master to destroy his face-down card. I was right, it was
Backup Soldier. I attack his monster, being Exodia's Left Leg. He said that he
needed to protect his LP and had no other monsters. I then activate SR to remove
the Left Leg. He concedes since he relies on Exodia so much.
LP count:
me:
8000
Kevin: 8000/7500/6000/Forfeit
Duel 2
He goes first and summons Gemini
Elf. I was stunned. I look at my hand to see Insect Soldiers and Scroll of
Bewitchment, a combo in my deck. I draw and get Arsenal Bug. I activate my
Scroll on his Elf and choose Wind. Then I summon ISotS and attack, getting the
1000 ATK boost. He draws and sets a monster with two other cards. I draw and
take Stop Defense. I use it on his face-down monster and find another Gemini
Elf. I summon Arsenal Bug, keeping its 2000 ATK. I attack and he goes. He
summons Zombyra the Dark and attacks my ISotS, reducing my Arsenal Bug's ATK to
1000. Zombyra is at 1900 ATK and I draw Swordstalker. I sack my bug and summon
him. I attack and he draws. He activates one of his cards, being Raigeki. He
summons Goblin Attack Force and attacks me. I draw Oni Tank T-34 and summon it
to attack his GAF. He draws and sets a monster and activates his other card,
which is a Final Destiny. He's left with no hand and his card was Kotodama. He
said he had no use for it so he got rid of it. I look in his Graveyard to find
Exodia's Legs and Head. He conceded again since he had to go home. I advance to
Round 2.
LP count: me:
8000/5700
Kevin: 8000/7900/7800/7700/Forfeits
Round 2
me vs. Chris (Beatdown
Deck)
This guy was easy. He had nothing but Level 4 and up, easy prey for my
Gravity Bind. I go first and draw GB, AB, ISotS, CoH, and Destroyer Golem. I set
GB and end my turn. He summons a 7 Colored Fish and declares an attack. I
activate GB and when he sees it, he concedes from the entire match meaning I
advance.
LP count: me:
8000
Chris: 8000/Forfeits
Round 3
me vs. Joe, my cousin (Dragon
Beatdown)
Knowing my cousin, he using 2 BEWD, 1 REBD, 1 Buster Blader, and
DNA Surgery. He also uses Parasite Paracide and other good cards. He thought I
didn't stand a chance since he thought I was using my other deck with St. Joan
and my own BEWD with a lot of cards. When he realized that I'm using another
deck I put together, he quits, much to his dismay. He wanted to see how I'll
do.
Semifinals
me vs. Bob (Warrior Deck)
He goes first and summons
GAF. I draw and get De-Spell. I also have Oni Tank, Skull, Dark Hole, Light of
Intervention, and Remove Trap. I activate Dark Hole, but he uses MST from his
hand!? I told him that it has to be face-down to activate Quick-Play on your
opponent's turn. We have a 2-minute arguement until a Judge comes over to see
what was going on. I told him the problem and he makes a ruling saying that the
match is mine.
LP count: me:
8000
Bob: 8000/Disqualified
Finals
me vs. Bruce, my High School friend
(Beatdown Deck)
Bruce is a friend of mine from High School. He uses cards
such as Secret Rares and Ultra Rares. My Gravity Bind will work fine. I'm just
glad he doesn't have Jinzo!!! I go first and draw GB, Gazelle, Worm Beast, and
two Ground Collapse. I draw my third GC and play them. I summon Gazelle. He
draws and can't do a thing. I draw Skull and summon it. I attack his LP and he
draws. He passes again and I attack again. He passes and loses. Duel 2 is
next.
LP count: me:
8000
Bruce: 8000/5500/3000/0
Duel 2
He goes first and summon Injection
Fairy Lily. I draw and use Dark Hole. I summon Battle Ox and attack. He summons
Gemini Elf and attacks. I set my Aqua Madoor and end my turn. He uses Array of
Revealing Light and chooses Warrior. I have very few of those so I wasn't
worried. He attacks only to lose 100 LP. I draw and summon my Skull that I just
drew. I attack and he sets a monster with 3 other cards. I use my Nobleman to
destroy his Cylinder. I attack and he uses Mirror Force. That ticked me off. He
flips his GAF and attacks. I mention that his Array prevents that. He gets
ticked about that. I set my Stern Mystic and GB. He sets another card and he
summons People Running About. He uses Ultamite Offering to summon Oppressed
People and United Resistance. I saw what was coming. A Huge Revolution. I had to
think fast. I draw a Trap Master and set it. I end my turn. He attacks my Trap
Master with GAF and I destroy his face-down card, a Royal Command. HE TRICKED
ME!!! He switches his other monsters to defense and ends his turn. I had to end
this now. I draw Muka Muka and summon it along with activating GB. I had four
cards in my hand, increasing Muka's ATK by 1200, making it 1800. I attack GAF
and end my turn. He draws and summons Yata-Garasu. He attacks my Stern Mystic
and loses 1000 LP. I draw Swordstalker and summon it and equipping it with two
Nuzzlers, making its ATK 3400. I attack his monsters with all of mine,
Swordstalker vs. OP, SM vs. PRA, MM vs. UR. He draws and sets a monster. I
attack with MM, being an Opticlops. I then attack with SM and Swordstalker,
losing 4900 LP. He sets another monsters and I attack it, being Yata.
Swordstalker attacks again, winning the duel and the tournement.
