Oddball Lockdown (see deck below and you'll know why I call it this) Matt Loyd Game Plan Cheyenne, Wyoming Okay, first of all, I would like to point out that this was a sealed deck tournament. I didn't get many good cards, but they worked fine. Here's the deck: Monster Cards Amazoness Blowpiper x1 Arsenal Bug x1 Boneheimer x1 Decayed Commander x1 Des Lacooda x1 Fairy Guardian x1 Giant Axe Mummy x1 Gravekeeper's Guard x2 Gravekeeper's Spear Soldier x1 Gravekeeper's Vassal x1 Gravekeeper's Watcher x1 Kryuel x2 Maiden of the Aqua x1 Master Kyonshee x1 Melchid the Four-Faced Beast x1 Roulette Barrel x1 Servant of Catabolism x1 Souleater x1 Supply x1 The Rock Spirit x1 Winged Sage Falcos x1 Yomi Ship x1 Magic/Spell Cards Buster Rancher x2 Continuous Destruction Punch x1 Hieroglyph Lithograph x2 Kaiser Coliseum x1 Kishido Spirit x1 Metalsilver Armor x1 Offerings to the Doomed x1 Reasoning x1 Scroll of Bewitchment x1 Trap Cards Blind Destruction x1 Disturbance Strategy x1 Needle Wall x1 Pharaoh's Treasure x1 Pineapple Blast x1 There were 11 people at the tournament. This is how it went. Round 1: Me vs. some chubby kid Duel 1: He had a pretty good offense and might have beaten me if not for one thing. He mustn't have been playing very long, because he didn't know that Arsenal Bug had an ATK and DEF stat effect. This helped me stall long enough to get some good monsters on the field and whoop his brain-dead butt. Duel 2: Went practically the exact way the first one did. Round 2: Me vs. Shane Duel 1: He always attacked my defenses at the wrong time, and when he got a good monster, it always attacked my Kryuel. Kryuel helped me a lot in this duel. With Kaiser Coliseum in play, I kept him at one monster most of the time. This was a long duel. Duel 2: This duel was similar to the first, but my Offerings to the Doomed came into play, literally saving me. These duels have a time limit of 40 minutes, and I eventually won because time ran out. Semi-Final: I got a by this round. Finals: Me vs. Patrick Duel 1: Ironically, this kid is the one I usually face first at regular tournaments. He had good offense, he used Gradius a lot. I set defenses all over, and thanks to Continuous Destruction Punch, his monsters killed themselves one by one. I finally got an offense assembled and killed him with that. Duel 2: This went mostly like the first one, but I ended up killing him with my defense cards since he had only Magic/Spell cards. Now it's time for Props and Slops. Props: to me for winning the tournament to Patrick and Shane for being good sports to Game Plan for holding the tournament to my dad for taking me to me for winning all my matches 2-0 Slops: to the crap I got in my packs to my first opponent for not knowing what an Arsenal Bug does to Game Plan for not hosting a regular tournament email: mloyd1991@aol.com
