When I arrived at Phoenix Rising I saw a couple of my friends I have met there over the time of showing up to these tournaments! Nothing too interesting happened before the tournament, so I’ll get straight to the duels.

Round 1: G-Dawg (me) vs. Guy with a Beatdown

This duel was a challenge, but I came through when it counted and pulled off the upset.

Duel 1

I was on the run for a bit because of his Jinzo, but I managed to get 2 Spirit Reapers on the field. I snatched his Jinzo, summoned Decayed, switched my Spirit Reapers, and all attacked, getting rid of all of his hand, and most of his LP. He got Sinister Serpent and played it face down. Spirit Reaper attacked and all the rest attacked. Next turn he drew Nobleman and it was game.

Me: 8000-5600-5000

Him: 8000-4000-300-0

Duel 2

I managed to get Helpoemer on the field and he was on the run for a while. Then I used Delinquent and Forceful and locked him for game.

Me: 8000-7000

Him: 8000-6000-4000-1800-0

Well, I won the first round, which is always a big step. Next I faced a little kid nicknamed “Giant Killer”, because he’s able to beat kids twice his age.

Round 2: G-Dawg vs. Giant Killer

Duel 1:

He got Guardian Sphinx on the field and had me stuck for a while, until I change of hearted his Guardian and tributed for Helpoemer and attacked directly. I don’t remember much more but I locked him eventually.

Me: 8000 - 6300 - 4600

Giant Killer: 8000 – 6000 - ??? (Locked)

Duel 2:

He had me on the run with Guardian for a while until I drew Mirror Force and locked him because he had set and summoned all his cards.

Me: 8000 – 6300 – 4600 – 2900

The next round had me facing one of my worst enemies: Bailee Buckmaster.

Round 3: G-Dawg vs. The Buckmaster Beotch (Bailee)

Duel 1:

First I used Delinquent Duo and had her down to 3 cards and then activated Forceful Sentry, bringing her hand down to 2. I put her only monster, a Bazoo, back into her deck. I Monster Reborned her Kycoo that she discarded from Delinquent, and set Imperial and Torrential. She summoned a monster and I Torrentialed. She set two cards and ended her turn. I summoned Witch and put Mage Power on it and set a card. I hit her for 2100. Her turn, she got Fissure and I used Imperial. She set 4-Starred Ladybug of Doom and ended her turn. I drew Giant Orc and had him attack. Stupid Ladybug! Both my monsters were destroyed, and I got Exiled with Witch’s effect. She drew Spear Dragon and put a United on it and Monster Reborned Bazoo and removed making it 1900 and both attacked for a total of 5400. I got 4-Starred and set it. She Nobleman of Crossout-ed it and attacked for duel.

Duel 2:
Basically the same, to sum it up I lost because of her equips and distracting Jamaican-style hair-cut.

After the tourney I got my 2 Zaloogs and my Yami. Overall, it was a good tournament.

Props:

My deck for coming through big time

My friends for giving me a ride

To anyone who burns Bailee’s hair (man, I hate her)

Slops

Duh, Bailee’s haircut

Bailee

Ben (Bailee’s brother, sadly they’re equally annoying)
