Tournament Date: 4/27/03 (Official Upper Deck Tournament)

Coming to the tournament my deck wasn’t fully tested. So I just went with the flow and see what what happens. The name of the deck is what it is, Some strange unusual stuff.

Match 1: Me Vs. Alex (Relinquish)

Duel 1:

Find out I’m playing a relinquish deck before hand So Stick in a few skull lairs to battle them. This round doesn’t even matter doesn’t bring out a Relinquish and still kills me. The Early Jinzo and hand full of trap cards messes up.

Duel 2:

This time I decide to do a good shuffle and that’s what I get. First take the hand advantage by playing a graceful charity then pot of greed. Later on when the game is down he comes out with a gravity bind and I can’t do any thing but wait for a mystical space typhoon or Jinzo. He can’t bring out a relinquish because he doesn’t get it. My Jinzo comes out and takes the game.

Duel 3:

Decide to put in some white magical hats to further kill the relinquishes. So that’s the way it goes. If my Lvl 4 hitters couldn’t get through the hats did. This duel pretty much ends pretty quick. I decide to then open my tournament pack and get crap.

Match 2: Me vs. Kevin P. (Beatdown)

Duel 1:

This duel is mines Because I take early Hand advantage and field advantage. Penguin with a imperial order. Later on in the Duel I see this really weird stuff where I could of hit him but he came out with a kuriboh and blocked my attacks. But I win 4400-0.

Duel 2:

My hand is bad I try to fight the best. Wabokus and fairy boxes can only protect me for so long. I later try to use cyber jar to my advantage but he gets all the staple magic cards so I lose with his crazy revival.

Duel 3:

I decide to go all out in this one. Even when he tries to bring something out to kill my teching monsters fairy box came out and killed. Previous duel fairy box wasn’t working to good but this time around luck shifts to my side, SO DON’T DOUBT THE FAIRY BOX! Ran him over 8000-0 (Stupid ceasefire and 200 hit could of won with 8800)

Match 3: Me vs. Marcus (Beatdown with a theme Earth I don’t know) [K-Force]

Duel 1:

I thought I would lose this one but I didn’t. He tries to hit with big hitters but they don’t get through. Tries throwing a Jirai as a wall but I just bust out with a goblin. Ran him over 8000-0

Duel 2:

Thought I just got a good hand but this one went the same. Except he got small hit small hit in but cure mermaid fixed that. I throw out a bazoo and take a chunk out of his life points tries to fight back with a kycoo but on my turn the kycoo happened to step in a little crack in the floor known as fissure. Ran him over again 8000-0.

Match 4: Me vs. Bandit Keith (Red Line) [K-Force]

I didn’t know who I was playing until I asked all along two opponents just been standing next to each other watching a duel.

Duel 1:

Don’t know what to expect except barrel dragons. So I just play the way I do against any other deck. 50% Teching 50% beatdown. By the time when were down to the 2000‘s about ¾ of out decks were played. I bring out a summoned skull hoping to take a win. Jinzo comes out and I was wondering why it can’t break my summoned skull. The Jinzo red lines and goes mad ripping straight through my Summoned Skull and the over flow kills me.

Duel 2:

Again I go with the same strategy. Taking some advantage. Once again we are down to about ¾ of our decks. I was down by about 1000 or more but his giant germs are what ends him. Bazoo and Goblin take 1300 and 1500 to the germs prove to be too much.

Duel 3:

Can’t believe this went by that quick. He plays delinquent duo which takes a 1000 out of him. My turn I change of heart his f/d monster giant germ I think that’s not good but it wasn’t that bad. I bring out a bazoo and reborn his barrel and take a huge chuck out of him he is left with 900 life points. Luckily I get a imperial and Raigeki. My imperial stops any magic card that would help him. He didn’t get any trap cards so I win despite he snatches the barrel dragon. Game ends 8000-900

Finals: There are 3 people in the finals so we have to play round robin. But I don’t want to do that because we want to go play B-ball. So I deicide to jump out of it and let those 2 other guys battle it out. But I don’t leave empty handed. I got 4 tournament packs in the day, Final points so like 200, and a by to the semi-finals next week.

Sup to all the people at A World of Books.
