This was my first tournament as well as our town’s first tournament.  It is a small town, and was probably the first tournament for everyone there.  But anyway, this is also my first tourney report (imagine that) so please excuse any wrongs.  Also, many people there were little kids and didn’t know what they were doing but had awesome cards because their parents were rich.  Someone even had an over 100 card Gate Guardian deck, talk about amateurs.

My 1st duel> The Toons of Blue Monday deck(Me) vs. a mediocre beat-down deck with too many cards(Blue Hat Kid)>

I was up against a little kid in a blue hat.  I’m sorry I don’t remember his name.  These first duels were one sided on my part and only consisted of two because I always won and there was no need for a third.  It always ended up with me getting out a blue-eyes toon dragon and decimating their life points into oblivion.

My 2nd Duel> The Toons of Blue Monday deck(Me) vs. another mediocre beat-down with too many cards(Michael)>

Michael was no better than the blue hat kid.  I ended up getting all 3 toon Summoned Skulls in the second (and final) match and he thought I was some kind of king in Yu-Gi-Oh cards.  Kind of sad though, because I don’t even have a Swords of Revealing Light or a Magic Cylinder.

My 3rd Duel> The Toons of Blue Monday deck(Me) vs. yet another mediocre beat-down with too many cards, but actually good ones(Daniel)>

This match got a little interesting but I still won.  He managed to knock out 2 of my Toon Summoned Skulls and I was mad, mostly because he wouldn’t of even participated if my friend Jon and I wouldn’t of helped him with his deck.  After the first match, where I just decimated him, is the match where 2 of my Toon Summoned Skulls got killed.  He tried to pull some crap on me that I had to have a monster attacked to flip it which made me mad, but I set him straight.  I flipped a Cyber Jar my next turn and he… gave up!?!  I really didn’t care though, because my confidence was swelling.

My 4th Duel> The Toons of Blue Monday deck(Me) vs. a decent beat-down that needs to be burned and its ashes scattered over billions of corpses(D.J.)>

I officially hate this kid.  I even let him borrow a Black Illusion Ritual for the tournament.  The first match I couldn’t do much and he kept using Fissure or Dark Hole to get rid of my toons.  I kept laying Magicians of Faith to get back Graceful Charity and hoping to get something good.  In the end it turned out to be my downfall because I got decked.  The second match I don’t remember the specifics but I ended up getting out some toons and depleting his life points.  The last match, despite what was on the line, was not very dramatic.  He was at 100 life points and I had 6400 or something left and I was already to win.  I tried to lay Change of Heart to take his Bistro Butcher and end the game, and his time in the tournament, but I already had 5 magic or traps down!  I don’t know if it violates a rule to lay down five and I’d like to know if you can pick them up so if you know please e-mail me.  But anyway, I was only drawing tribute monsters; he laid more 4-star 1800s, and attacked directly until I lost.  After I lost, directly after, I stood up from my chair and yelled out NOOOOOOOOOOOO!!! in defeat, and I think I freaked the kid out.

My 5th Duel> The previously undefeated Toons of Blue Monday deck(Me) vs. Some person whom I never even got their name with a deck I didn’t see much of>

These two matches went by pretty fast and were basically the same.  I just got out my toons and quickly dropped his life points to zero.

I ended up getting third and a Joey starter deck.  D.J.(the kid who beat me) got a tin with a Lord of D.  My friend Jon got first and a Labyrinth of Nightmares booster box.  I’m glad I got third though because A.) Second places prize I didn’t like and the Lord of D. was damaged> and B.) I don’t think I could of beat Jon and the boosters didn’t have anything I wanted anyway.
