I play regularly at Lefty's every Saturday at 12:00 noon. I've ran many decks, including Exodia, Relinquished, 1000 Eyes Restrict, and Beatdown. This week I used the following deck: Monsters: (19) X1 Jinzo X2 Kycoo the Ghost Destroyer X2 Goblin Attack Force X2 Gemini Elf X2 Bazoo the Soul Eater X1 Witch of the black Forest X1 Sangan X1 Cyber Jar X2 Morphing Jar #2 X1 Magician of Faith X1 Penguin Soldier X2 Man Eater Bug X1 Sinister Serpent Magic: (17) X1 Harpies Feather Duster X1 Mage Power X1 United We Stand X2 Graceful Charity X2 Mystical Space Typhoon X1 Change of Heart X1 Dark Hole X1 Monster Reborn X1 Pot of Greed X1 Ragieki X2 Mask of Brutality X1 Axe of Despair X1 Premature Burial X1 Snatch Steal Traps: (6) X1 Imperial Order X2 Torrential Tribute X1 Mirror Force X1 Call of the Haunted X1 Magic Cylinder Total = 42 Cards As I was getting ready for the tourney, I traded my extra United We Stand, Tribute to the Doomed, and Harpie Lady Sisters for a Gemini Elf, and two Bazoo the Soul Eaters. ( Before that, I had a Mask of Darkness in my Deck. Okay, on to the tourney: ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Round 1: Steven vs. (Bye) I got to go on to the next round! Yay! ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Round 2: Steven vs. A.J. (Freaky Beatdown with Horrible Cards.) ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Duel 1: This duel was pretty quick. On my 1st turn, I played Graceful Charity, and discarded Jinzo. I then used Premature Burial on it, played a Gemini with a bunch of equips, and easy won the duel. Me: 1 AJ: 0 Duel 2: This duel went slower than the 1st. I had to set both my Morphing Jar 2's because of his Cyber Jar, then made the mistake of setting my own Cyber Jar on the Field. He played Swords of Revealing Light, and activated all of their effects. So, after doing a Morphing Jar effect, it discarded at least 10 cards off my deck, and then stalling for 3 turns. I eventually just finished him off with a (2500) hyped up Bazoo. Me: 2 Him: 0 ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Round 3: Steven vs. Eric (Exodia Deck with Destiny Board) ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Duel 1: He is one of the fastest people to get out Exodia that I've ever seen. He kept using things to bring back his Sangan, which I eventually removed from the game with Kycoo the Ghost Destroyer. I hyped up a Gemini Elf, and Snatch Stole his Sangan, he activated Gravity Bind, and I eventually Mystical Space Typhooned it. I won with him having 4 Exodia Limbs in his hand. Me:1 Eric:0 Duel 2: What can I say? I had no m/t removal and a bad first hand. He used Destiny Board on my 1st turn and he won the duel. Me:1 Eric:1 Duel 3: I overran him. He had no way of stopping my elite force of Gemini's, Kycoo's and Bazoo's. In the end, I used Change of Heart on his Exodia head and attacked for the game. Me: 2 Eric: 1 ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Round 4: Steven vs. Steven (cousin of the person who is 1st in the store, he has an awesome beatdown, similar to mine.) ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Duel 1: I used a pumped up Kycoo and the help of Cyber Jar in this one. In the end, I used Change of Heart and Mage Power to pump up a Gemini Elf. Me: 1 Steven: 0 Duel 2: Boy, I learned the true power of his deck! On his 1st turn, he used a Cyber Jar, got a Maha Vailo and Hysteric Fairy. He used Raigeki on my Goblin Attack Force, Cyber Jar, and Bazoo the Soul Eater. Then he pumped up his Maha to 5000+ and directly attacked for 7550. He beat me shortly after. Me: 1 Steven: 1 Duel 3: This was a tough duel. He kept using flip effect monsters like Magician of Faith to recycle his Axe of Despairs, but I used Change of Heart and beat him with Jinzo in the end. Me:2 Steven: 1 ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Round 5: Steven vs. Wyatt (he's the top person in the store, with a similar beatdown deck.) ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Duel 1: I expected more of a challenge with him. He put and pumped up a Maha Vailo, and I Snatch Stole it. In the end, I played Change of Heart, and attack directly for the win. Me: 1 Wyatt: 0 Duel 2: This was almost the exact same as the 1st duel. I easily creamed him and won 1st Place in the tourney. Me: 2 Wyatt: 0 Now onto Props and Slops: Props: Me for trading 4 limbs of Exodia for a bunch of Ultra Rares, and Super Rares. Me for trading for Gemini Elf. Me for winning the tourney. My mom for driving me there and back. Slops: My friends for not being able to go because of lack of money. The packs I won for being crappy. Ricky, Richard, and Adam for returning to the store and being easy to beat.
