This was my first tournament, I was a bit nervous, but not that much, you get a free booster for entering pharaoh’s servant though, that stinks, but at least its something….… My deck is called “risky beatdown” cuz there’s a lot of risks (dark elve, fairy box, mask of brutality, ect.) that lower my life points and that… it’s a beat down ^^;;. Here’s my deck (it kind of sucks but hey, I just started playing 3 weeks):

1 tribute monsters:1

-Summon skull (awesome power for 1 tribute)

No tribute monsters:7

-x2 La jinn the mystical genie of the lamp (1800 atk no tribute monster)

-x2 7 colored fish (1800 atk no tribute monster)

-x2 Harpie’s brother (1800 atk no tribute monster)

-Giant soldier of stone (stall/defense)

Effect monsters: 12

-x2 Man-eater bug (you got jinzo? Flip, you’re gone!)

-x2 Dark elf (good no tribute, risky price tho)

-x2 Hysteric fairy (good 4 star atk, barely use effect tho)

-Wall of illusion (stall, tribute monsters goes back, hahaha)

-Bazoo the soul eater (1 tribute summon skull, nice….)

-Magician of faith (get raigeki/monster reborn back)

-Mask of darkness (get trap hole/magic drain/7 tools)

-Haybusa knight (gets big chunks out of their life points)

-Maha vailo (strong! One nuzzler, 2750!!!)

-Cyber jar (staple, get monsters out… and in ^_^)

-Giant turnade (less threats, useful until I get heavy storm)

-Mask of brutality (until I get axe of despair, strong power up)

-x2 mavelent nuzzler (until I get mage power/united we stand)

-Dark hole (clears field)

-Raigeki (a must in every deck, clears field)

-Monster reborn (a must in every deck, get their jinzo/skull)

-Change of heart (a must in every deck, tribute their monster)

-fissure (destroy jinzo/skull ect. Clear field)

-scape goat (stall! Defend my life in tight spots)

-x2 noble man extermination (until mystical space typhoon, less threats)

-Card destruction (cards is always good, destroy exodia decks)

-Megamorph (super boost, maybe replace later…)

-Pot of Greed (best card drawing card!)

Trap:10

-Magic drain (stop raigeki, monster reborn, ect.)

-Solemn wishes (gain 500 every draw phase, helps)

-Ceasefire (get rid of cyber jar/man-eaters, less threats)

-Skull lair (destroys face up cards such as bazoo’s)

-Seven tools of bandit (cancels trop hole/skull lair/fairy box/ect.)

-x2 trap hole (destroy monster, field clear sometimes)

-Call of the haunted (reborning monsters… sca-very good ^_^)

-Fair box (big help, sometimes saves my duel..)

-Enchanted javelin (gain from defense monster or cancel atk)

Total: 45 cards (ALWAYS HAS TO BE LOWER THAN 50! Just a tip for u folks)

How I got Maha Vailo and Giant turnade, I traded blue eyes for those, hahahahaha! Well, as I said, I was a newbie, was a bit nervous, but that doesn’t mean I cant make bad trades, hahhahaha. This is how the tournament went:

Duel 1 round 1

James verse Chris (random deck, great moth, relinquish, ect.)

These were one of those people that you don’t want to beat… but you have to. He was new at this, I got harpie brother, 7 colored fish, and dark elf, he had nothing but petit moth and change of hearted my dark elf and attacked, I used enchanted javelin, hahaha. I attacked with my group of monsters, only life points I lost was the atk I did with elf.

Duel 1 round 2

Pretty boring, I got my solemn wishes and got out fairy box so it was free and I attacked him with fishes and harpie brothers and hysteric fairy. I used enchanted javelin just to make things fun also. He couldn’t get anything really, only weak cards. I’m not the kind of cruel person who rubs it at their face. I was nice to him and got him soda… with my mom’s money which she gave me just in case I got thirsty ^^;;;

Me: 9500 Chris: 0

Duel 2….. hahaha, odd number of players, I got a buy! I think I was the one who got it because I had the most life combining the 2 rounds in the duel. I watched my friend Jabez and Koopmans duel… well, Koopmans lost the first duel against one of the best players, felt sorry for him… It was his first tournament entered… jabez, his 5^th tournament, but still doesn’t really have anything good, but his is a bit better than mine.

Duel 3 round 1

Me verse Anderson (jinzo… beatdown? Deck)

This kid looked fairly ok… I was wrong… I got a bad hand, I put 7 tools of bandit down and put cyber jar face down. He used dark hole, he told me the flip effect didn’t’ work cuz of the dark hole… not sure about that but I listened to him… bad or good? Then he put a card down. I got solemn wishes and I put it face down and sent out dark elf but didn’t atk… bad move, his turn, flipped man-eater and tributed it for jinzo, AHHHGGG!!! He attacked my elf. I then used fissure, bye bye and sent out my other elf with mavelent nuzzler, I attacked… another bad move, though his field was open, there was a trap, wabuku… he used a curse mask card whatever and I lost 1000 every turn as long as that card was equipped to my elf… later I found out it was 500 every turn but that was the end of the day.. the little CHEATER!!!! he kept sending out monsters and I tried to hold them off with fairy box but I lost too many life points with my shory life points down to 2000… too late for me, I was gone… pretty close….

Duel 3 round 2

I put solemn wishes down and wall of illusion. His turn, he sends out a card in def and put 3 trap/magic down. My turn, I used noble man of extermination on his magic jammer. Then I used magic drain on his mystical space typhoon on my solemn wishes. I sent out maha vailo with nuzzler, very strong… I didn’t trust his face down card so I used raigeki, tunade to leave his field smooth and clear TOTALLY and then attacked. I thought I won this round, but then he used change of heart and tributed for jinzo… why???!!!! Then I went down hill, didn’t get any monster removal cards and had to put all my def down… I sent out a elf with mask of brutality and attacked. He sent out other cards and pretty much whipped me out… too late for me again and again, I was down to 2000 and he used the curse whatever to my elf –again. Losing 1000 rather than 500, I wanted to see the card but he says none of ur beez wax...…. So I was losing, I had 500 and he used mirror force, I tried to 7 tools bandit it but I had low Life points so I couldn’t use it…I used scape goat but he only used raigeki… sucks! I always do things the WRONG time… I lost cuz of his $%^&* mask…. Wel, I do have good sportsman ship so I said, “good –uh-hum- sorrie I coughed… good game” I felt really dumb losin to dis weird person.
