Well, I
arrived at 4:30 right when the tourney was "supposedly" supposed to start. It
started at around 4:50, so I was ok. Normally, I buy a booster or two before I
start playing, but not today. The judge started calling names...and boy was I in
for a day...
Round 1- David vs Omar (beatdown)
Game 1- This game was
interesting. We had practically the same decks, but he was running skull lair.
That card is really good. Anyway, the first game was an average game, and I was
ahead most of the time. He had 3000 life points left and I did my favorite
combo. Sacked a monster for Jinzo, united we stand, scape goat. Dead. Turns out
that you cant use scapegoat on the turn that you summon. So, when I won, the
game didn't count, although I still wouldve won, it just wouldnt have been
overkill. O well.
Game 2- He slaughtered me. I didn't get a single card I
needed except for all the essential traps. Of course with my luck, he gets out
jinzo. I kill it, he reborns it. I kill it again he Calls it. I cant kill it and
therefore lose due to not being able to use mirror force/magic
cylinder/torrential tribute.
Game 3- I had this game in my hands until
we found out about the thing in game 1. I was really, really mad and I didnt
think out my moves. The person I was playing, on the last turn, says, "We can
count the first game as a win for you." He only said that because he knew he
would win that turn, and he did. Freaking heart of the cards let him draw a
change of heart right when he needed it. Game.
So what? I was eliminated...I was really upset about the whole scapegoat thing,
and so I decided to quit yugioh. I looked in my wallet, saw 13 bucks, so I
decided to try my luck one last time...I hand the man 8 bucks, I get a
gilasaurus and some other crap card. I was like, shit. Last booster pack. Now,
heres my theory: upper deck heard I was quitting and magically made sure that my
next pack was the best I ever got. One of the employees of the store usually had
good luck with pulling me cards (ex. royal command) and so I asked him. Fate had
it so that I pull

Elf!!!!!!
I know its overrated, but comon. I find it strange that the last
pack I buy contains gemini. Its weird, but it feels real good. To top that off,
some ignorant kid had dark necrofear in his hand and tells me "Look! I ripped
off some kid by only giving him $5 for this". I was like really...wanna trade
for it? Because he ripped of a little kid, I decided to rip him off because he
was stupid. I traded him a Valkrion the Magna Warrior (which I had 2 of) for the
Dark Necrofear. Then I trade it to my lucky brother for a united we stand and a
ceasefire.
So, it ended up being a good day,
although I didn't advance far. But I know gemini will pull through for me next
week, so I felt better.
