Well this was a good day. I made it to the semi-finals, considering the level of play here. Since my last tourney report, I've strengthened my deck a little. My tactics and luck still need a little work in that I still couldn't beat one of the best players in the store. Good thing I dueled him before the actual tourney, just for the fun of it. Well onto the deck.

Summoned Skull
Jinzo

Side Deck:

Prohibition(3)
Torrential Tribute
Axe of Despair
Card Destruction
United We Stand
Scapegoat
Soul Release
Nobleman of Extermination
Ekibyo Drakmord
Delinquent Duo

Torrential Tribute was being ambushed by Jinzo too many times and didn't seem as nimble as Dark Hole so I switched between them. Also I went with Fairy Meteor Crush over another Axe so I can do actually life point damage to face-down defense monsters. It's really good if you put it on a Kycoo. So let's see what went down.

First Round:
Soul Eatin' Beatin' vs. John(Relinquished/Toon World)
I was playing this little kid whose never duel in a tournament before and didn't know much about playing. He was with his father who was a dueler.
1st Match: Took him down rather fast while correcting him on some incorrect moves like setting Relinquished w/o using the right ritual card
Me:8000
John: 8000-5700-3200-2300-0
2nd Match: I allowed his father to coach him. Argh, beat me by using Relinquished and sucking in my GAF!
Me: 8000-5700-5300-2800-2000-0
John: 8000-5700-4700-2200
3rd Match: I hit him hard and fast down to 1200 before he and his dad pulled Relinquished and sucked in Jinzo. Looked like I could've been buried till I pulled out Raigeki (heart of the cards!) and Premature Burial my 7 Colored Fish to pull out a squeaker! And to think I let his dad coach him almost to me regretting it big time.
Me: 8000-5600-3800
John: 8000-6200-4400-2600-1200-0

Second Round:
Soul Eatin' Beatin' vs Chris (Beatdown)
He had a pretty good deck stopping me with Spellbinding Circle, SORL and using Giant Trunade to reuse SORL. it took be a bit to take him down with his stalling tactics but I managed to get through.
1st Match:
Me: 8000-7000-6300-4700-3800-2600
Chris: 8000-9000-4800-2800-1000-700-0
2nd Match:
Me: 8000
Chris: 8000-6300-5800-4200-1800-0

Third Round:
Soul Eatin' Beatin' vs. David(Exodia)
At first I didn't know he was playing Exodia till we got started on our first match. This kid killed me bad one of the last tourneys here with a strong beatdown.
1st Match: He had me in a bind with Messenger of Peace and Gravity Bind till I Heavy Stormed them and took him down.
2nd Match: I took out some Exodia buster cards outta my sidedeck: Delinquent Duo, Card Destruction, Exchange and Prohibition. But somehow he beat me down after I took one of his pieces. He got me with my own powered-up Bazoo.
3rd Match:Hit him fast and hard and took him down.

Fourth Round:
Me vs Harley Davidson(Beatdown)
This guy was relentless. He took me down with numerous beatdown attacks and my cards just weren't showing up. First match I made a pretty good match with it, but the second he mainly wiped the floor with me.

I ended up with $7.50 in store credit plus a TP3 pack on order. After finishing I was dueling two on one with these two kids. I ended up winning four in a row. It turned out to be a good day for dueling and having a good time at it. DUEL WITH HONOR!

Props
-- Getting into the semifinals considering the tough players here
-- Securing a TP3 pack

Slops
-- Having to wait till next time I come into the store to get that TP3 pack.
