Before I got to the tourney, I bought some packs and I pulled crap, the only good card I pulled was Mystical Space Typhoon. When I got there, I was 30 minutes early so I free dueled and won all my duels. When the pairings came out, I was paired up against the second best duelist at the store. I’m the first. First two rounds are single elimination.

Round 1

Me vs. David (Gravity Bind)

Me: 8000-6500-3650-0

David: 8000-9000-4100

I drew my first hand it was Trap Hole, Goblin attack Force, Pot of Greed, Swords, Jinzo, and Call of the Haunted. I Placed Goblin in attack and Trap Hole and COTH face down. He played one card face down and one Monster in defense mode. I drew Torrential Tribute. I placed TT face down, offered GAF for Jinzo, played PoG, drew Graceful Charity and Heavy Storm, played Swords, and attacked his defense monster. It was Nimble Momonga. He summoned another monster in defense mode and ended, I drew Mechanical Chaser. I attacked with Jinzo and it was Cyber Jar. I drew my five and it was Gemini Elf, Dark Hole, Raigeki, Mirror Force, and Kycoo. I set Gemini and Kycoo in attack along with Mechanical Chaser. He played Cannon Solider, Witch, Sangan, Mystic Tomato, and one card face down. He offered Witch, sangan, and Mystic to attack my Lp.

I drew Skull, offered Kycoo for it. Flipped COTH and got back Jinzo, destroyed Cannon Soldier with Mechanical Chaser, and attacked for 4900. He played dark hole and played monster reborn on my Jinzo and attacked me directly. I played Swords and stopped him, then played a monster in defense mode, and mirror force face down.

He attacked and destroyed Cyber Jar; I drew Bazoo, Mech, Monster Reborn, Premature Burial, and IO. Played Mech in attack along with Bazoo, Reborned Jinzo. Attacked directly, he didn’t draw any monsters.

Round 2 vs. Exzodia

I knew this person’s plan. It was my best friend Patrick. He used cannon soldier/witch/sangan to get pieces, along with gravity bind. His only attack monster is a Goblin Attack Force.

Duel 1

Me: 8000-6500-

Patrick: 8000-400-0

I drew my first hand; it was Cyber Jar, Pot of Greed, Swords, Mage Power, and Mirror Force. I went first and drew Raigeki. Played Pot of Greed, drew Heavy Storm and Axe of despair. Played Cyber Jar in defense and mirror force face down. He played a monster in defense and two cards face down and ended. I drew Summoned Skull. Flipped Cyber Jar, destroying WOTBF. I drew Kycoo, Bazoo, Gemini, GAF, and MOF. Played them all on the field. His draw was two pieces to Exzodia, cannon Soldier, Sangan, and Gravity Bind. He offered his two pieces, and sangan. He got his third piece, the head and ended. I heavy Stormed destroying my Mirror Force, Flipped MOF grabbing POG. Then I offered MOF for Skull and attacked for 7600. He placed one card face down. I drew Jinzo. Offered Bazoo for Jinzo, and attack directly for duel

Round 3: Bye

There were an odd number of people, and lucky enough, I got a bye. I managed to trade my spare Snatch Steal and my spare SDY Monster Reborn to some little kid for Morphing Jar #1 and Veserago the destroyer. That kid was stupid. Now I can create B. Skull Dragon for my fusion deck, I also watched the next best duelist there duel. He didn’t seem like much of a threat. Now it was time for my next match.

Round 3 vs. Toon/beatdown

Me: 8000-7500-5000-2500-2100-0

Him: 8000-7000-6500-6000-5000-2600-1100-600-100-1100-600-1100

I drew my first hand; it was TTTD, Kycoo the ghost destroyer, IO, Cyber Jar, and Premature Burial. I drew Trap Hole. Set IO and Trap Hole face down, cyber in defense. He played Toon World, paid the 1000 for it, and summoned Toon Mermaid.

I flipped Cyber Jar. I drew my five. I drew: 2x Goblin Attack Force, Pot of Greed, Axe, and Magic Cylinder. Set two Goblin’s in attack, along with Kycoo, put Magic Cylinder face down. He drew Toon Skull, Toon Mermaid, Toon Blue Eyes, Chain Energy, and Gemini Elf. He put Toon Mermaid and Gemini elf in defense. By this time, he was down to 5000 LP. I knew how to counter this. Instead of IO, I’m going to Heavy Storm his Toon World and attack him directly. I attacked Gemini with one Goblin, and destroy Toon Mermaid with another. He simply ended. I drew Jinzo. I offered one of my Goblins for Jinzo, and attacked him directly. He drew and played Change of Heart, taking Jinzo, Offering it for Toon Summoned Skull, and attacked me directly. I drew my second tribute to the doomed. I played it, discarding Axe of Despair, but offered my second GAF to place it on top of my deck. He played Monster Reborn, reviving Toon Skull, and activated Solemn Wishes. And Pot of Greed, drawing two cards. He couldn’t attack me directly so I just drew Axe, equipped Kycoo with an Axe and left it. He attacked my life points with skull while drawing a card from his deck. I drew Monster Reborn. I got a killer Idea. Reborn Jinzo, Premature Burial GAF and attack directly. Which I did. Attacked Skull with Kycoo he activated Rush Recklessly and I lost life points.  He attacked my life points directly, winning the duel. Good thing it was double Elim.

Duel 2

Me: 8000-7200-4200

Him: 8000-6150-3650-2150-0

My opening hand consisted of Summoned Skull, Mechanical Chaser, Torrential Tribute, Mirror Force, and Axe of Despair. I went first and drew Heavy Storm. Set Mechanical Chaser in attack equipped with Axe, set TT and Mirror Force face down.

He set one monster in defense and ended. I drew Graceful Charity. Played it, drew Jinzo, GAF, and Io, discarder Skull and Heavy Storm. I attacked and it was a wall of illusion. Axe was in my graveyard. I played Mech again next turn and attacked directly. He played another monster in defense. I drew monster reborn, revived Skull, and attacked the defense monster with chaser. It was a Man Eater Bug, and then attacked directly with Skull. Now he set one card face down. Played Toon World and Toon Mermaid.

I had to get rid of Toon Mermaid. Skull could do it, but one more monster would win me the duel. I drew nothing. I just ended. His turn, he change of hearts my skull, and offers both for Toon Blue Eyes. Thank God they can’t attack the same turn they are summoned, that’s about all that saved me. I drew, Premature Burial. I also had my second Axe. Premature Burial my Skull, added Axe, and attacked. He activated Mirror Force, destroying my Skull and directly attacked. I drew. Dark Hole. I played it and GAF and attacked for win.

Duel 3

Me: 8000-

Him: 8000-???-0

I don’t even remember what happened, all I know is that I won big time.

Now it’s time for the finals, I’m dueling the person who I watched earlier. He ran a straight up Weenie deck like the one off some-guys deck garage but with one twist, it is also part burn and Jinzo.

Finals: Vs. Weenie Rush

Me: 8000-6500-5100-3900-1400

Him: 8000-6600-4100-6600-6150-4300

I drew my first hand, I got Gemini elf, Trap Hole, Io, Raigeki, and Mech Chaser, He went first and summoned Jinzo #7 with an axe and two cards face down. I knew what they were, I drew Heavy Storm. Summoned Gemini Elf and Heavy Stormed, destroying Jinzo#7. He played one monster in defense mode and two more cards face down. I drew Jinzo, Offered Elf for Jinzo and attacked, it was Rainbow Flower. He summoned one monster in defense and flipped type zero magic crusher and ultimate offering. He summoned five monsters. One Witch, Cannon Soldier, Sangan, Mysterious Puppeteer and a defense monster. Offered witch, sangan, and mysterious puppeteer, after he got the LP boost. I have to give him credit. He knows how to run a weenie rush deck. I used Jinzo to attack his defense monster. It was a mask of darkness; he got back one Gravity Bind that I heavy stormed. Now I had out s Jinzo and that it. I draw and end my turn. He has to get rid of Jinzo to be able to use GB. He fissures my Jinzo and attacks me directly with Cannon Soldier. I draw and get nothing. He summons Amazon archer in attack mode and offers two monsters from his hand to do 1200 to me. I draw. Thank God, another Mech Chaser. I summoned a Mechanical Chaser and destroyed Amazon Archer. He switched Cannon Soldier to defense and ended. I play my second Mechanical Chaser. In attack with one and attack directly with another. All he had were two face down cards, I’m sure neither of them could protect him.

It’s his turn. He played Pot of Greed and drew monster reborn and axe. He revived Jinzo#7, played two axe of despair and did 2500 to me. I drew, monster reborn and revive Gemini Elf. I Raigeki him and attack with both for 4300 and duel!

I won and I got a box of choice. I choose, PSV. I got another Jinzo, Fiend Mega-cyber, 2 Nobleman of Cross-out, and chain destruction, I got all crap in the rest but good cards for my GB deck

Aftermath: I traded my Mage Power for another Veserago, Black Skull, and a Holographic Man-Eater and Holographic Trap Hole.
