I've been playing for a year. I started out on the Pojo apprentice league so I know what a good deck is and what isn't. This deck is okay, it's about on par with all the rest at the tournament. I could go on the defense easily with this deck. I hate giving decks names anyways. Anyways, on to the tournament! Play Format: This was a tournament at the local card shop I have been going to for years (Van's Cards and Comics). The tournament starts out with three rounds. In each round you are paired up with someone and you duel three times. For each of those you win you get one point. At the end of all three rounds, the top 8 people (with a max of 9 points) will go on to the final rounds in which it is a bracket type tournaments using 2/3 duels instead of the previous type of duels. The first three rounds lasted 50 minutes each and the top 8 had no time limit. If you ran out of time, both players got .5 points. Prizes: For entering you get one pack of PSV or LON. 8th-5th place: 1 extra PSV or LON pack 4th and 3rd: $15 of store credit 2nd: $30 of store credit 1st: $70 of store credit Report: 1st Round: Black Haired Kid: Every duel was easy. I went through undefeated and gained 3 points in this round. I tried to help him out with strategy and his deck but it was really hard to talk to him. My bro went through this round with 2 points. 2nd Round: Kid Close to My Age: Since I was undefeated they paired me up with someone undefeated in the 1st round as well. 1st Duel: Went by smoothly, was sort of easy. 2nd Duel: This one was a little hard. I won though. 3rd Duel: I layed it out hard early in this one and I won. I went through undefeated in Round two and gained 3 points for a total of 6 now. I had the highest points in the tourney at the end of round two. My bro gained 0 points in this round. 3rd Round: Quiet Kid: Again, I was undefeated so I was paired up with another undefeated, the person who beat my brother three times. 1st Duel: I can't really remember it but it was close, he won by laying out a bunch of good cards, which I don't even have. 2nd Duel: This one was another close duel, I won this one. 3rd Duel: Ok, this was going close again but he got Summoned Skull out and Masked Beast to finish off my 4050 LP. I got 1 point in round three for a total of 7 points. My bro got 2 points in this round for a total of 5. The highest anyone could have gotten after round two was 8 points. Only one person had this so I was destined to go to the final rounds. I really wanted to win the first round of this one. If I did, I would automatically get the $15 store credit. Top 8 Rounds: Semi-intelligent Judge: 1st Duel: Ok, he had a better deck than me. I hung in there as much as I could but he beat me. 2nd: This one was VERY good. He clearly had me outmatched but I hung in with 750 LP for a long time until I finally took a risk and lost it. I am now kicked out of the last round but I do get an extra booster. After the tournament I buy a new Joey Starter deck and I trade for an Imperial Order (the one in my deck now) so I hope that my deck will be great next time. Everyone ran Beatdown so once I get enough money/cards to make a Weenie Rush, let the clobbering begin! Props: -I got IO -I got very far for a deck that is only mediocre -I played very well -I had fun once the tournament kicked up Slops: -I risked too much on the last duel -Too many beatdowns -Not many people who knew the rulings, even the 'judges' -Not winning that ONE round Overall: I went 7-4
