Anyways, two of my friends, like usual, met at my house and we got dropped off at the local comic book shop, Artifex.  We got there an hour early so we signed up, which was 5 dollars each, and scoped out some of the decks people were playing.  Beatdown and gravity bind/clown control (I hate those! >_<) are the local favorites, but there are some elementals played, same with hand destruction (the pro’s deck).  After walking around for about 20 minutes my other friend showed up, and he signed up too.  Eventually the time came around for the rules to be read, which meant the tournament was starting.  After what seemed like forever, they called my name. Now on to the first duel..

ROUND ONE
Me vs. Ronny (Typical Beatdown)
Duel one-I regret saying this, but I was happy when I first saw him because he looked like he was about seven or eight.  Anyways, I was surprised to see that he ran a coherent beatdown deck with all the right cards in it.  He got me down to about 4400, but I came back when I special summoned my Megacyber, snatch stole his goblin and sacked it for a catapult.  He went downhill from there.
4400-0
Duel two- Pretty much same thing, but he barely touched my life points this time.
6200-0

ROUND TWO

Me vs. Matt (Another regular beatdown)
Duel one- I was kind of intimidated when I first saw him because he had this sort of posse sitting around him, you know, cheering him on.  He dueled pretty fast and was the kind of person who instead of putting his equips in the m/t card zone he stacked them on his monster.  First round he used two Graceful Charity and a Pot of Greed @_@ His hand was pretty loaded.  Anyways, he attacked my life points some with 1800 monsters, but my catapult saved me again!  I believe I snatch stole a goblin (again) attached united we stand and an axe on a kycoo, attacked then sent them flying for the win.

3900-0
Duel two- I got the catapult out pretty quick this time, so it didn’t take me too long to succeed.  He had a mirror force face down when I had an army lined up to attack his life points, but luckily I took a chance and MSTed.
6200-0

ROUND THREE

Me vs. Nester (Yet ANOTHER beatdown -.-)
Duel one-  This was the guy my friend lost to in the first round, so I knew it was going to be tough.  Of course, I got a crap hand full of equips and traps, so I put a DNA down and ceasefire.  He summoned a Goblin and attacked my life points.  I finally got a bazoo, so I MSTed his face down, which turned out to be a magic cylinder.  I equipped an axe on it and killed his goblin.  He went, raigekied, sacked his goblin for Jinzo, and attacked.  I forgot how, but someway I got a catapult out and launched some monsters to bring him down to 2200, but finally he cleared my field and won.
0-2200

Duel two- This duel was pathetic.  I don’t even want to go into how quick this duel was, so all I am going to say is that I had the same type of hand as before, but I never got a non-tribute monster.
0-6000 (from a ceasefire)

so I lost in the third round.  It wasn’t too bad, I was just angry that when I lost in the second duel my next card was a kycoo, and I had 2 axes and a mage power in my hand.  >_<  Now its time for my Props and Slops.

Props
- To Renato, for letting me borrow his two Goblins, Mirror Force, and an Imperial Order(which I desperately needed)
- To Matt, Ronny, and Nester, for being cool duelists
- To Jack in the Box, for having awesome tacos for really cheap

- To Artifex, for holding a good tourney even though there were these nasty fumes today cause someone knocked over this one gas canister

- To the guy that posted this deck idea under the tips section

Slops
- For getting crap in my tourney booster and LON pack
- For getting bad hands in the third round

- For forgetting to turn on my phone and getting yelled at >_<

Well that’s about it folks.  If you have questions, comments, whatever, send them to me, Bryce, at Thisonejapguy@yahoo.com
