This is my first tournament report, so I apologize if it isn't well done. This was the fourth tournament at this store, and for the first time, the average age was above seven. I came with my friend. I had been practically undefeated here and I was hoping that I would get to be in a hard-fought battle today. I am trying to collect the entire Tp3 set, so I opened my tournament pack and got a Patrol Robo. I already had it, but I figured i might be able to trade it. Now onto the deck:

So as you can probably tell, I have a speed beatdown. I can't wait until Legacy of Darkness becomes Tourney legal...Image of Yata-Garasu lockdown being created...Image of Injection Fairy Lily's outfit...........well that's another story entirely. Onto Round One!

Round One:

1st duel:

Me vs guy who forgot his cards and played with some of his friend's (Kevin) extras

I started early with a Gemini Elf and a GAF for a quick win

Me=8000-7000 (Delinquent Duo)

Him= 8000-6100-4800-2500-0

2nd duel:

Same thing, but with Painful Choice+Jinzo+Monster Reborn also

Me=8000

Him=8000-5600-900-0

I was the second one to finish the first round, and I went over to see the other person who had. I looked through his deck...and found NEEDLE WORM! I ended up trading for it but it cost me a United We Stand, Mage Power, Solemn Judgment, and Fire Princess. Now I have Needle Worm! But I still have 5 more cards to go before I have the set (Mechchaser, Black Skull Dragon, Horn of Heaven, Axe raider; Kwagar Hercules). Time for the next round! (By the way, my friend made it past the first round)

Round Two:

This isn't what I wanted to happen. You know the feeling you get when you play a little kid in an official tournament who's opening move is Blue Eyes and a face-up trap card. You can't tell the officials he's cheating, because you'll feel guilty since he doesn't know better, so you have to try to explain to him how the game works as it's taking place, while they're saying, "but that's not how Pegasus does it on the show..." Sorry kids, but THE TV SHOW IS DIFFERENT THAN THE CARD GAME. Anyway, the scores for the matches were:

1st match:

Me=8000

Him=8000-5600-900-0

2nd match:

Me=8000

Him=8000-6100-2000-0

(My friend got past this round also, and made a very important trade which he neglected to tell me about until later.)

Round Three:

This was against the kid who I got the Needle Worm from.

1st match:

Painful Choice, Monster Reborn, Premature Burial, Call of the Haunted and Raigeki in beginning hand=game

Me=8000

Him=8000-0

2nd Match:

Gemini+Bazoo=game

Me=8000-7000 (Confiscation)

Him=8000-6100-3600-100-0

(I figured I'd be facing my friend, but he had lost to who I was about to face. Oh yeah, he also showed me what he traded his extra Magic Cylinder and Seinyaryu for. A 100% real 1ST EDITION INJECTION FAIRY LILY! Yeah, one of the two new Legacy of Darkness secret rares. Apparently, some kid there had found a place with boosters from legacy of Darkness.) Back to the finals!

Round four:

Me vs good player (Kevin)

This was the match I was looking forward to. This guy's deck was built really well.

match 1:

I had a really good hand, and he had a really bad one. He had to surrender and I felt kinda bad.

me=8000-6200-4400

him=8000-5700-3800-1400

match 2:

This was really down to the wire. I was in the lead and I used Delinquent Duo, randomly discarding Cyber jar which would have won him the game. I ended up winning the tournament again, and I even got the good match.

me=8000-6200-4400-2600-1600

him=8000-5700-3300-900-0

After the tournament, I ended trading about 10 foils for the Injection Angel Lily. However, my friend got his Serpent Night Dragon stolen. Don't make me start about dirty rotten theives. They are the lowest level of filth and don't even deserved to be talked about anymore. Anyway, in one of the winners packs, I got a Mage Power. Not bad. Now for props and slops.

Props:

-my friend for coming

-for gettig first

-for some healthy competition

-for gemini elf

-for goblin attack force

-for getting needle worm(only five cards left!)

-for getting Injection Fairy Lily

Slops:

-little kids who don't know how to play (but we do need another generation after us)

-Theives(don't get me started)

-not enough competition

-no tp3 packs for winning
