tourney!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I arrived at
about 2:30 and decided to start dueling my friend. Now, the deck listed above
was not as it was at this point in time....it was a REALLY good day. Im playing
casually, goofing around, my friend is too, but his deck is really funny. He has
Marie the Fallen One in his deck. Most people laugh, but it saves his a$$ all
the time. I traded him one for a gearfried. Now he has 2. Funny thing is,
he beats me both games...Anyways...my brother is really lucky...so he goes to
buy one pack. He pulls torrential tribute. He trades it to me for my masked
beast and its ritual magic. First good card of the day. Anyways I decide to play
another person:
(didnt know his name(Exodia))vs David-
We start, I pull a
couple 1800s and I think a sangan and MeB. I attack him a couple times, until he
gets gravity bind. I think about now he has 3 or 4 pieces of exodia. I keeping
tapping him with man eater bug (lol). Then he summons giant soldier...I
CoH..tribute Jinzo. Game Over.
Next
game was a bit easier for me. I exchange in the beginning hoping for a
piece...nope. Him and his friend start laughing at me at my n00biness. Then I
mention to him it's the first time I've ever faced Exodia. He stops laughing. He
never gets gravity bind out, he gets mesanger out, but it doesn't help him for I
heavy storm. I kill him with a sangan in ATK mode (HAHA) and a MeB again (HAHA).
Game Over.
Next, I borrow my friends
United We Stand and my brother trades his cyber jar/masked beast for mage power.
Of course, he lets me borrow it. I decided to play against one friend from
school. Right as we start playing some kid wanted my thousand eyes restrict. I
said sure, for bazoo. He grinned, knowing I was being ripped off. We trade and
he walks away...little did he know it was bent, reducing the value to $2.00. I
laugh and so does my friend, and then I put in Bazoo, and we
begin.
David vs Angelo
(Beatdown)
Don't remember what my
starting hand was, but I think I put a MeB face down. We attack back and forth
until he is at 4900 and I am at 3100. He torrential tributes...I 7 tools
3100>2100. He attacks my scapegoat counter and its my turn. I try to monster
reborn his jinzo but he CotHs it first. Damn. Next turn he attacks and
wins.
We play again and he beats me. So
now I'm 2-4-0. Not so good. He notices my delinquent Duo in my binder and asks
why its not in my deck. I immediately replace trap hole with DD. I go
inside, hand my bro 4 bucks and he pulls me a dark spirit of the silent. Not
bad. I trade my friend a penguin soldier for a gravity bind (I'm making a weenie
deck) and he tells me to take out my summoned skull and put in my other penguin
soldier. I do. The guy in charge of the tourney starts calling names. I open my
TP3 pack and get a dark elf. Not bad. I am up against this older kid... I'd say
18 or 19. I'm 16 and surprisingly most of the duelists there are 13+. We start
the duel:
Round 1
Game 1: David vs (didnt catch his name(dark
necrofear deck))
Don't remember the
starting hand, all I remember was not being prepared for the necropheliac when
it came. He attacks. I place cyber jar face down. He puts another creature in
attack mode. Necrofear attacks...he tells me if I get a monster, he gains
control of it...but I get no monsters from cyber jar. My turn, I place penguin
solder face down. He goes and summons another necrofear and monster reborns his
other one...He attacks my penguin flips...Im about to use the effect when he
used solemn judgement. Damn. Thats game.
Me- 0 Him-1350
Game
2: I start out with a pretty good hand. I use pot of
greed then I set down something else. Then I put man eater bug facedown. He goes
and uses graceful charity. Discards 2 dark monsters (didnt see that coming). He
attacks my MeB then he flips just deserts. 8000>7500. My turn. I put down an
1800 then attack he uses kuriboh. My turn...I set scapegoat and torrential
tribute. On his turn I pulled a cool combo. He got out 3 monsters then I
scapegoat/torrential tribute to destroy all the monsters. Really funny. On my
turn I attack with a goblin. His turn... I forget wut happens but he cant seem
to get out any monsters besides another necrofear. Eventually I win.
Me- 6100
Him- 0
Game 3: I was a little nervous...this was only my second tourney
and I had never even gotten past the first round before. To make it worse all
these people were watching. I decided to not let it get to me. This probably
helped me. We start and he uses pot of greed and graceful charity. Discards 2
dark monsters and sets down a monster. I attack, sangan, he gets kuriboh. He
goes and summons necrofear and kills my goblin. I set cyber jar and he attacks
it. I get a harpies brother and MoF and some other cards. He takes my magician
with necrofear and its my turn. I use graceful charity and get a heavy storm. I
use it, I get my MoF back, use Raigeki, flip MoF and get it back. I attack with
La Jinn MoF and Kycoo but he kuribohs kycoo. I think he clears the field and its
my turn. A few turns pass and we end up with the finishing turn. My brother
rushes over to me screaming "I GOT A PACK AND GOT DESTINY BOARD!!!!!!!!" I start
freaking out and everyone looks at me. I told you he was lucky...anyways, I have
a mask of darkness and meb face down. I flip the bug and kill his facedown. Flip
MoD and get torrential tribute. I summon harpies brother. I change of heart his
necrofear then he call of the haunteds his necrofear. Then I CotH my Jinzo. The
necrofears kill each other off, jinzo attacks, he kuribohs, harpies, MeB, and
MoD attack for game. 2550>0 (1800+900+450). Game
Over.
Unfortunately, I have to leave
at 6:00 and its 5:55. Oh well. I go inside and my bro buys another pack and gets
Kycoo. I steal it from him. (just kidding) We trade kycoo for I, N, A, and L.
Now he has the set. I get called and I face my next opponent.
Round 2
Game 1: David vs (DARN I DIDNT CATCH HIS NAME! (fusion
deck))
We start but I am really in a
rush so I don't remember the details. All I know is I have cylinder and mirror
forve face down. He gets jinzo, Game Over. We were gonna play again but
I'd Had to go. I wasnt mad because it was a really good day.
