Okay...let us begin, shall we? Today proved to be an awesome day for me. Not only did I acquire great cards, but I also had some great duels too. Before the tourney, my dad comes downstairs and tells me that my brothers and I can go see the movie, Daddy Day Care, after my tourney which was kind of sweet.

Then, we leave and arrived at my tourney early which was also great because I didn’t have to wait in line and I got to chat with some friends and prepare.

When I got there around 11:15, one of the employees at pip, squeak informed me that my rival Eddie wasn’t going to be coming. I was like, “Yes!”

That means that he lost lots of points since he wasn’t at the tourney last week either. When he was at the tourney, he was ahead in the rankings, but when he was away doing whatever he was doing, I was gaining points. Lots of points.

Now, without further ado, here’s how my tourney went from beginning to end:

Round 1: Awesome Destruction19 v. James-

Okay, this kid James that I faced Round 1 was a newbie. It was his first tourney and from the looks of it, it seemed like his deck was not ready for a tournament of this magnitude. When he found out that he was facing the champion of the first two seasons, he got nervous. I felt sorry for him so I offered to help improve his deck after the match. He accepted.

Duel 1: IMO, his deck was all over the place. It was clear that he didn’t know the rules that well as he played creatures like Blue-Eyes without a sacrifice, two monsters in one turn, and he thought that he could attack me turn 1! I tried to help him as best as I could. I creamed him this duel by using removal cards like Heavy Storm, Raigeki, Dark Hole and most importantly-Nobleman of Crossout.

I won this duel with my supped up Hayabusa’s.

His LP: 8000=5000=2500=0

My LP: 8000 all throughout the duel.

Duel 2: This was really the same as duel 1. I used my removal cards however in this duel, I used Penguin Soldier to return big monsters to his hand like Ryu-Ran, Blue-Eyes. Then I just went on attacking him with my big attackers like Gemini, GAF, Bazoo, and Hayabusa.

His LP: 8000=5500=2500=0

My LP: 8000 all throughout the duel.

Round 2: Awesome Destruction19 v. Robert-

All right, Robert is a friend of mine and I wasn’t too thrilled about dueling him Round 2 but alas I had to. I don’t think he was too thrilled either. We both knew that we were going to have a pretty good fight. Both of us gave it everything we had:

Duel 1: Now, I got a really great hand this duel. I got some good equips, Hayabusa’s and some card control and removal cards.

What I did was I used up my removal cards early in the game and I played my Hayabusa’s. I then gave them a nice Mage Power and UWS snack and they won the duel for me. I do so love my Hayabusa’s ^_^.

His LP: 8000=6000=5000=3000=0

My LP: 8000=6100=4200=2000

Duel 2: I don’t really know what happened here except the fact that I lost this duel. I’m telling you, he was awesome this game. He pulled an early, fast Jinzo on me and went on attacking me. I just drew nothing good. I mean, I pulled a slight lead at first then he just took over.

His LP: 8000=6100=4200

My LP: 8000=6000=3800=800=0

Duel 3: I had to make a come back. I knew that I was not about to go out in round 2! At first my deck had Giant Trunade instead of Ceasefire but for this duel I wanted to try taking out the Trunade for Ceasefire. It didn’t help me at all because I didn’t draw it.

This duel started off more or less the same way as duel 1. I got a good starting hand and I just removed his cards and attacked him all throughout the game. Anyway, once again, my Hayabusa’s took this game. I powered them up and with a couple of attacks, he was done!

Round 3: Awesome Destruction19 v. Thomas-

Okay, now Thomas is a pretty good player as he wiped the floor with me and my rival at a previous tourney. This week, however, I wasn’t about to let that happen. Take a look at what happened.

Duel 1: I got a pretty good starting hand. I started off by playing Magician of Faith face down. Next, he played a Black Illusion Ritual, sacrificed a forgiving maiden and played Relinquished. Next, he sucked in my Magician and played Gemini. Thank god my Magician was face down, giving Relinquished 0 attack and 0 defense points. Next, hit me with Gemini.

To prevent that from happening again, I played a Penguin Soldier face down along with Mirror Force. He took the bait and attacked me. Guess what-I flipped the force!! During his second main phase, he set a man-eater. I don’t know what came over me but I forgot about the Penguin! So, I forgot to flip the thing. Oh well. He flipped his bug and destroyed my soldier and attacked me with it. On my next turn, I used CoH and took control over Man-Eater. Next, out came Hayabusa. He took 2450 points of damage. On his turn, he took Man-Eater back and played a Witch of the Black Forest. He attacked me with Witch and then the Man-Eater. After that, the match went back and forth. I played a card and attacked. Then he played something to destroy my card. Later on, I had a supped up Hayabusa on the field. With one more attack, it would destroy him. He plays Swords to stop me. Then, he said I hope you don’t draw a Space Typhoon. Then...well…I guess he spoke too soon because the card I drew was a Space Typhoon! I played it, got rid of Swords and attacked for the win.

His LP: 8000=5550=3000=1000=0

My LP: 8000=6100=5650=5550=5100=4300(Premature)

Duel 2: All I will say is that I lost. He got a good hand or something. When I was about to lose, I only had Nobleman and another magic card in my hand. Darn!

Duel 3: This was a lot like duel 1 for me. Not for him. What I mean is that he didn’t get Relinquished or Man-Eater or Gemini’s out. My Bazoo’s and Hayabusa’s took this game thanks to a Mage Power, Bazoo’s effect, and Premature Burial.

His LP: 8000=7000=2500=3500(Snatch Steal)=0

My LP: 8000=6100=4200

Round 4 (semi-finals): Bye

Round 5 (finals): Awesome Destruction19 v. Jason-

I was very nervous when I played this game. Jason was the kid who defeated me last week in the semis. He plays real well but this week was not a good week for him.

Duel 1: Many cards were played this duel. In the beginning, he plays Hysteric Fairy with Mage Power and attacks me for -2800. Then, I flip Mirror Force. Next turn, I play a Goblin and I hit him for 2300. To protect my Goblin, I used a Mage Power and United We Stand and that brought him up to 1800 defense. Sure enough, Jason plays his Goblin and destroys mine. Then, I draw Snatch Steal. I play no monsters. On his turn, he sacs. Goblin and plays Jinzo. Next turn, I steal Jinzo and play a Kycoo. Then I Premature a Goblin and attack for the win.

His LP: 8000=5700=3300=1500=0

My LP: 8000=6100=5100 (Sangan attack)

Duel 2: At the start, we must have got good hands because the match really went back and forth here. At one point, he did play Ceasefire and 1 took 1000 points of damage. In the end, it came down to me playing a Mage Power on a Hayabusa. Then, he uses Mystical Space to get rid of Mage Power. Then, I monster reborn a Bazoo. I already had 1 Hayabusa on the field so now I added a second plus a Bazoo. One supped up Bazoo (+300 for 3 cards=2500) and two Hayabusa’s won the game and the tourney for me.

His LP: 8000=7000=500=0

My LP: 8000=7000=4700=2700

Well, so far I’ve won two of the season 3 tourneys and I’ve came in second or third at the others. For a while, my rival was ahead in the rankings but thanks to him missing two tourneys and me coming in 2nd and then 1st, I think I might even be ahead of him as I was close to him when he was at the tourney in the rankings.

Well, I collected 2 Season 3 tourney packs. In them I got 2 Patrol Robo’s and some lousy commons. Nothing decent or deck worthy. Oh well. And you know what? Someone-Brian-pulled a nice Needle Worm today. I nearly cried. I want and need that card badly!

I stayed for at least an extra hour and I played Magic the Gathering with friends and got some nice Magic cards. Everyone, please note that I plan to dominate next week! A pretty good tourney, in my opinion. Now for some tourney props and slops!

Props:

For winning.

For Eddie missing a second week.

For me gaining lots of points.

Hayabusa Knight.

Bazoo.

Card Control Cards.

Graceful Charity.

Reborn Cards.

Magic the Gathering.

Points!

Slops:

Brian for pulling Needle Worm.

For loosing twice today.
