Kris (beatdown deck) Duel One: Me This kid couldn’t have been older than 7 or 8 years old, I let him get some monsters out so he could summon his Dark Magician, but I just used Raigeki and attacked him directly for the rest. Me- 8000, 7300 Kris- 8000, 6200, 2200, 0 Duel Two: Me Same thing, I let him think he was doing alright so I didn’t hurt his feelings but he really shouldn’t have entered, although I did call my Jirai Gumo wrong once. The kid was nice so I gave him two gravity binds and three jinzo #7s. Me-8000, 4000, 3550 Kris-8000, 5800, 1800, 0 Round Two: Me Vs. Cristian (don’t know the exact spelling, but I think that’s right. Ran a beatdown deck) Duel One: Me He got three tribute monsters on his first draw, hindered him quite a bit. He set a lot of stuff in defense but I drew my raigeki and two noblemen of crossouts, ended up just attacking him directly a lot for the win. Me- 8000, 7000, 6500 Cristian- 8000, 6200, 1200, 700, 0 Duel Two: Me No tribute monsters this time for him, which kind of worried me for a bit, but he set all of his cards, magic and trap, and I heavy stormed his change of heart, monster reborn, mirror force, and something else. Pretty much ruined him, attacked his defense cards and attacked directly for the rest of the duel. He was also pretty cool and traded me another heavy storm. Me- 8000 Cristian- 8000, 5700, 3500, 1700, 0 Round Three: Me Vs. Alex (I think that’s his name, ran an Exodia deck) Duel One: Me I got confiscation on my first draw, thank God for that, and I looked at his hand. He had four Exodia pieces in his hand, and luckily, one was the head so I discarded it, he then did some sort of giving up thing and I finished him off quite quickly. Me- 8000 Alex- 8000, 6200, 2200, 0 Duel Two: Me Basically the same thing, I got confiscation and delinquent duo on my first draw, but didn’t manage to get the card destruction I slipped in from my side deck. But he again had 4 pieces, and again, the head, so I got rid of that with confiscation, but he didn’t give up so easily this time. Still didn’t matter though, just kept putting pieces out in defense and used a magical hats to save himself for a round. Me- 8000 Alex- 8000, 6200, 5400, 1800, 0 Round Four: Me Vs. Yellow Jacket Guy (ran a counter everything you do beatdown deck) Duel One: Me Didn’t catch his name, but evidently he is a regular there and always wins or some such, he’d just got done wiping the floor with my friend, but he says it’s because he got nothing but monsters. Anywho, he got quite a few traps on his first draw, but I heavy stormed them and fissured his goblin attack force and hit him with a Jirai Gumo, finished the duel about the same way, just kept killing his monsters with magic and attacking him with Jirai. Me- 8000, 7000, 3500 Y. J. G.- 8000, 5800, 3600, 400, 0 Duel Two: Me He got all three trap holes on his first draw, made me kind of angry, but I mystical space typhooned his third one thankfully and nobleman of crossouted his defense cards, attacked directly and won. Later looked at his deck and found he had 2 magic jammers, 2 seven tools, imperial order, 2 magic drain, solemn judgement, and those trap holes. I was surprised he didn’t pull many of them out. Me- 8000, 4000, 2200 Y. J. G.- 8000, 7000, 4800, 800, 0 Round Five: Semi-Finals I got a buy, but I dueled one of the judges while I was waiting, he used an exodia/attack lifepoints deck, it was a bit odd, but it did fine enough. I won every time, but it was pretty neat how he had it set up, still not as effective as the traditional defense exodia decks though. Round Six: Finals Me Vs. Motli (or something like that, ran a straight beatdown deck) Duel One: Me This guy seemed pretty cool at first, but he was a major whiner. He called the judge over for everything I did, which didn’t help him one bit. I really don’t see how this guy made it to the finals, guess he was just REALLY lucky. He got nothing but monsters and equip cards, basically all he had. Equiped his Dark Elf with an Axe of Despair and a Sword of the Deep-Seated, I fissured it and he had to draw his sword again, he managed to hurt me somewhat, but he ran out of monsters really fast because he had to keep drawing that card. Me- 8000, 7200, 6700 Motli- 8000, 6200, 2200, 0 Duel Two: Me Same thing, this guy was pathetic… Me- 8000, 5500 Motli- 8000, 4000, 2200, 0 End result- I WIN!!! Prize: One TP2 pack… Pros: To me for winning my first tournament To me for getting good trades To everyone being really cool besides Motli Cons: To Motli for being such a whiner To the crappy prize To not getting anything good out of my tournament pack. _________________________________________________________________ MSN 8 with e-mail virus protection service: 2 months FREE* http://join.msn.com/?page=features/virus
