Deck Name: Mideaval Slaughter Deck Type: My very own, patented, "Field Control" My Name: Justin Caron My Age: 18 Allies: Rodney Ritchie, Ryan Crosby Tournament Location: Zimmie's City/State: Lewiston, Maine Tournament Type: Offical UpperDeck Prizes: 1st- 3 TP2 and 20$ store credit, 2nd- 2 TP2, 3rd- 1 TP2 #of duelists at start: 52 My rank for this tournament: 3rd Round My Store Ranking: 3rd in the store My overall Ranking: 606th in the eastern region Rank for allies this tournament: Rodney- No show, Ryan- Third Round Rank of allies in store: Unkown Rank of allies overall: Unkown Meaning of Type: "Field Control" works on the basis that, if your opponent can't keep any monsters or Magic/Traps on the their side of the field, than they can't win. This is so far my most successful deck type getting me beyond the 3rd round every time I've used it. Contents of The Deck: Total Cards: 40 Monsters: 20 Effect/Tribute: None (When I need them I'll put them in) Tribute: 3 Summoned Skull (These are my seige weapons ready to take down the castle you call "life points") Normal: 1 La Jinn (One of many troops willing to sacrifice themselves to destroy your tiny army) 1 7 Colored Fish (You're not safe on land or in the sea!) Effect: 3 Man Eater Bug (These are my mages, loaded with kill spells!) 2 Magicain of Faith (My magical artifacts need to have more than just one use) 1 Witch's Apprentice (My cleric who gives my siege weapons extra power!) 1 Sangan (Finds my best mages and gives them to me when I need them) 1 Witch of the Black Forest (Easier Seige weapon construction) 1 Goblin Attack Force (Don't worry it won't hurt, long) 1 Hayabusa Knight (Your Gravity Bind is ineffective, mwahahaha) 1 Paracite Paracide (A great way to poison everyone who opposses me!) 2 Mask of Darkness (My forces need to have their protective armors repaired often) 1 Tornado Bird (You will lose armor and artifacts of magical power!) 1 Invader of the Throne (Why did you think your units were going to stay with you?) Magic:14 (Magical Artifacts) Speed 2: 2 Mystical Space Typhoon (The loss of all your armor must hurt your pride) Speed 1: 1 Bait Doll (Your armor is lost and I can make you lose more with this one artifact) 1 Change of Heart (You know, suddenly all your monsters are joining my cause) 1 Nobleman of Extermination (Ahhh, the bliss of making you not be able to retrieve you help) 2 Spiritualism (Non-negatable way to give me a temperary advantage, but temperary can generate wins) 1 Pot of Greed (Giving me what I need before you want me to get it) 1 Raigeki (Early explosives are hard to contain, so this is my only modern weapon, a nuke) 1 Snatch Steal (If your monsters don't stop helping me out you're gonna lose you know) 1 Dark Hole (Though primitive, this explosive does still get rid of everything you've put against me) 1 Monster Reborn (I can even use your dead against you!) 1 Tribute to the Doomed (I know, my archers have great aim don't they?) 1 Heavy Storm (Gone is the protection you once loved to brag about) Trap:6 (The Armor of any Army) Speed 3: 1 Riryoku Field (Taget my troops? I think not!) 1 Magic Jammer (Your archer's aim is horrible) 1 Seven Tools of the Bandit (Ahhhh, trying to deceive me, well I've got one up on you, hahaha) 1 Horn of Heaven (Nope, don't like that unit being deployed, bye bye) Speed 2: 1 Fairy Box (Such weak units you have, they all just tend to give up the fight against me) 1 Shadow of Eyes (Mages waiting to cast spells, riiiiiight) Pre-Tournament Notes: After a several weeks of missing the opprotunity to write up a deck review, I've finally found the time. The Alliance has faired pretty well. Both Ryan and Rodney are becoming frequent 2nd rounders. I can only hope that one of us can take the tournament this weekend, it being the last tournament of season 2 and all. Are you prepared for the destruction? Tournament Data: Match One: Medieval Slaughter vs. Misconstrued Deck Duel One: Winner: Me Life points of Me: 8000>7300 Life points of Opp: 8000>5700>3500>2300>1400>0 Duel Breakdown: This duel was over almost as soon as it started. I tossed out my Goblin Attack Force for my opener and it stayed out for a little while. This kid just couldn't keep his monsters on the field long enough to really do anything. He did manage to kill my GAF with a powered up, reborned, Summoned Skull, but that died on my ensueing turn. After that, he was just really easy to kill off. Duel Two: Winner: Me Life points of Me: 8000>7200>6600>5250 Life points of Opp: 8000>7550>6200>3750>2400>3600>2550>1200>0 Duel Breakdown: This duel was equally as fast as the first, accept for the fact that he actually got to do something to me other than watch me pound the living crap out of him. I'm really not liking how I always seem to get those who are newest to the game for my first match, because with my current deck it's all to easy to win. If Zimmie's wants to have satisfied duelists they need to start giving the better duelist people that at least know the rules, which this kid thankfully did, but still, the competition there has really bogged down, and that's making me wonder if I'm as good as my points catagory says I am. Match Two: Medieval Slaughter vs. Randomly Generated Kaiseti Deck Duel One: Winner: Me Life points of Me: 8000>7300>6500 Life points of Opp: 8000>6000>7000>5000>6000>7000>8000>4900>5900>5200>2500>0 Duel Breakdown: Damn it do I ever hate those Kaiseti! The just sit there and attach to your monster and give your opponent life. That is why I now have a side deck, and it consists of 5 anti Kaiseti cards! This duel was a pretty good one, the best of the match at that, and only because of those damned Kaiseti! If I'm mispelling Kaiseti, oh well, cause I don't have any, which means I don't know how to spell it's name. Simply put, one Nobleman of Extermination got me the win for this duel, as it got rid of his Gravity Binds for good. Duel Two: Winner: Me Life points of Me: 8000>7500 Life points of Opp: 8000>6900>5800>6450>5350>7000>2350>1350>0 Duel Breakdown: After the first duel I was thoroughly P-Oed because of the all crapalific Kaiseti! He did manage to get another one of the little bastards attached to one of my monsters. I made him pay by amassing a 5 monster army and squishing his sorry butt. Match 3: Medieval Slaughter vs. Exodia I don't remeber a hole lot from this duel, and I lost the life sheat. He got exodia on me twice. It's so dumb because I only had to attack him one more time and.... aghhh! Stupid friggin' exodia! I'm gonna be able to destroy it soon, damn stupid exodia. Zup to: Ryan: You're really starting to kick major butt at the tournaments, your sudden upping in experience is scaring me, but that's a good thing. My Deck: It almost pulled through against exodia, but it didn't. Uhhh, no to: Exodia: My new deck will make you squirm! Rodney: Go to the tournaments. Thank you for reading my review. If you print this out, I will immediately go to your house and eat the copy that you made. If you some how manage to retrieve this copy after it's passed through me, I'll more than gladly let you have it back. Other than that, happy dueling. This is Justin Caron over and out..... *Static*
