Second tourney, all new deck. I had to give Exodia a rest after
altering him too much. I don't even know how to work that deck
anymore. I was disappointed that only so many people showed up. The
last tourney had 8 people (Only 2 of us were decent that night. See
the 3/17 report for the same shop by Edwin). Since Exodia needed a
vacation, the deck's number two star made its solo debut: Cannon
Soldier. Because there were 6 people, the tourney had an odd setup but whatever.

Round 1: Matt (Me) vs. Sam (Some new kid)

Duel 1:
Me: 8000 > 7000
Him: 8000 > 6900 > 0
He went first. I used Dark Hole and attacked with Witch of the Black
Forest for my first turn. He did a quick 1000 to me with Just
Desserts. A few turns later I used Raigeki, used Monster Reborn on his
Darkfire Soldier #2, and faced an empty field while on my side I had 2
Bubonic Vermin to ATK, 1 Cannon Soldier, Mystic Tomato and his
Darkfire Soldier #2. You can guess the rest.

Duel 2:
Me: 8000 > 7600 > 3800
Him: 8000 > 6600 > 6100 > 0
I went first and put Mystic Tomato in ATK. He used La Jinn to kill it
and I brought out a Cannon Soldier. I set and use Soul Exchange on La
Jinn. He summons but I use Solemn Judgment. Monster Reborn his La Jinn
and it was game.

Round 2: Matt (Me) vs. Tim (Try beating my NEW deck now!)

Duel 1:
Me: 8000 > 4000 > 3200 > 3100 > 3000 > 2900 > 2800 > 2700 > 2600 >
2500> 2400 > 2300
Him: 8000 > 7000 > 6500 > 4500 > 4000 > 3500 > 500 > 0
Very well fought. I busted out the Solemn Judgment early to knock his
LP fairly low. Messenger of Peace got the job done here as you can
see. Mirror Force saved my ass big time.

Duel 2:
Me: 8000 > 4400 > 2200
Him: 8000 > 6900 > 5900 > 4900 > 3000 > 3100 > 0
All I can say is "disappointing". Tim got stuck with Horn of the
Unicorn going to the top of his deck after my Man-Eater Bug took out
his Summoned Skull (who in turn took out an assload of my LP with
Fairy Meteor Crush and some equips). Once again Mirror Force and
Solemn Judgment kept me alive. So that definitely means Tim WON'T be
getting my Mirror Force in a trade.

Round 3: Matt (Me) vs. Arvin (What if he had good cards?)

Duel 1:
Me: 8000 > 7200 > 5400 > 3400
Him: 8000 > 5300 > 6300 > 5800 > 3800 > 3200 > 2900 > 900 > 0
This guy had the worst cards but he could play them well. Too bad I
was too much for him. Gravity Bind got him good. He got to Remove Trap
it, but he was already done for by then.

Duel 2:
Me: 8000 > 7400
Him: 8000 > 7000 > 8000 > 7000 > 5500 > 2500 > 0
Gravity Bind yet again. He tried to Remove Trap it, but Imperial Order
was waiting for him (not to mention Messengers of Peace in my hand).

Slops to:
- Myself. For losing my car / house / locker keys + laser pointer key
chain at the shop, only to discover that they were inside my bag.
- Chad (the judge and filler). For getting me garbage rares in my
     packs.
- Edwin. He didn't show.
- Tim. For leaving without spending his prize money.
- Whoever is to supply D&R Comics with their Unltd. Ed. LON boxes (I
pre-ordered one and it hasn't come in yet).
- And a super-slop to Mike for no-showing yet again.

Props to:
- Arvin. For lasting as long as he did against me.
- Tim. He and Mike informed me about these tourneys (Mike gets no
props because he hasn't shown his face at one yet).
- Tim one more time. For test-running my Neo-Exodia deck yesterday. It
encouraged me to make new decks.

Next Tournament: April 4, 2003. I won't be going because it's the day
before SATs and I'll be spending that time studying.
