This tournament had 16 participants once you lost 2
times you were out. The cost was 15 dollars but you got a free booster pack. The
prices were: First place 8 booster packs and 20 dollars store credit, Second
place 5 booster packs 15 dollars store credit, Third Place 3 booster packs 12
dollars store credit. No Japanese cards were aloud. I went to tournament with my
friends Jake and Jorge and my cousin Irving. Today my brother Domon (#4 in the
store) didn’t come. He’s 14 I’m 13.
They had okay decks. I had a better deck than they did. This is my fourth
tournament but my first that I have posted. I was ranked #3 in the store. Last
week I got 2nd place. The pairings were like

Round 1: Duel 1
At the beginning of the tournament John said he would
beat me. At the first I drew my five cards and they were Harpie’s Brother, Trap
Hole, Summoned Skull, Malevolent Nuzzler and Cyber Jar. I play Harpie’s Brother
face down in defense mode and he places a Battle Ox in attack mode and he
attacks my Harpie’s Brother and he losses 100 life points. In my next turn I
draw a Soul Exchange and changed his Battle Ox for my Summoned Skull. I then
attach de Malevolent Nuzzler on my Harpie’s Brother and I’m unstoppable. He did
do 800 damage with an Ookazi though.

Round 1: Duel 2
This time he goes first and sets down a monster in
defense mode and places 2 magic or traps face down. I have a Man-Eater Bug,
Robbin’ Goblin, Fissure, 7 Colored Fish and then I draw a draw a Mirror Force I
put it face down. Then I use Fissure and that takes out his monster I play
Robbin’ Goblin on the field. I also place 7 Colored fish in attack mode and
attack his life points directly. I use Robbin’ Goblin and take out his Raigeki.
On his next turn he puts a card face down I draw and I got a Dark Elf and put on
the field. I attacked the face down monster and it was a Ryu- Kushin Powered. I
then directly attacked with Dark Elf, with Robbin’ Goblin I take out a Man-Eater
Bug from his hand. On his next turn he uses a Dark Hole and than puts a Harpie’s
Brother on the field when he attacks he starts laughing then I play Mirror
Force. I draw a Maha Vailo but I play Man-Eater Bug face down on the field. He
gets out a 7 Colored Fish and attacks my Man-Eater Bug. He starts getting mad
and says that I cheated. I don’t pay attention to him and I draw a Horn of the
Unicorn I place down my Maha Vailo and add Horn of the Unicorn to it and that
makes a 2750 attack. I directly attack him. I use the Robbin’ Goblin and take
out Witch of the Black Forest from his hand. So now he only has 1450 life points
left. He uses two Ookazis on me and he puts a card face down. And that ends his
turn. I draw and I get a Change of Heart I use it and attack his life points
directly with Maha Vailo.

Round 2: Duel 1
Floyd is one of my friends he’s never beat me at
dueling. In my draw I drew Magician of Faith, Jinzo, La Jin the Mystical Genie,
Swords of Revealing Light and Trap Hole. He goes first and plays a card face
down on the field and 2 magic or traps. I draw a card and get Card Destruction.
Then I use Swords of Revealing Light and play my La Jin. The card that he had on
the field was Man-Eater Bug. So with La Jin I attack his Man-Eater Bug. On his
turn he uses Dian Keto Cure Master and puts a card face down. I draw and I get a
Change of Heart and use it. I then tribute his monster for Jinzo and attack
directly with a 4200 attack. So he’s down to 4800 life points. On his turn he
uses a Dark Hole and then puts a monster in defense mode and that ends his turn.
I draw and get a Pot of Greed I use it and get 2 more cards that are Robbin’
Goblin and Goblin Attack Force. I play my Goblin Attack Force and attack his
face down monster and destroy it. He plays a card in defense mode and that ends
his turn and my Swords of Revealing Light is destroyed. I draw and get my Dark
Elf. I put my Robbin’ Goblin and Dark Elf on the field and attack his face down
monster. I then attack with Goblin Attack Force directly and use Robbin’ Goblin
and take out his Man-Eater Bug. On his turn he uses a Dark Hole sets down a trap
or magic and puts a Battle Ox on the field and I use my Trap Hole. I draw and
get Magic Jammer and put it face down on the field and then I put my Magician of
Faith face down on the field. On his turn he gets a La Jin and attacks my
Magician of Faith. I choose to get my Change of Heart back. On my turn I draw a
and get a Harpie’s Brother and Change of Heart his La Jin and I attack with that
and Harpie’s Brother and I win the duel.

Round 2:
Duel 1
This time I go first and draw a Horn of the Unicorn,
Man-Eater Bug, Mystical Space Typhoon, Fissure and Mask of Darkness and I drew
again and got a Call of the Haunted. So I play my Man-Eater Bug in face down
defense mode and put Call of the Haunted face down. He uses a Sword of Deep
Seated and attaches it to his Battle Ox and he attacks my Man-Eater Bug. On my
turn I draw and get a Harpie’s Brother and attach Horn of the Unicorn to it and
I attack with a 2500 attack. On his next turn he uses a Dark Hole and is about
to attack with his Battle Ox but I use Call of the Haunted and get my Harpie’s
Brother back. He losses 100 life points. On my turn I draw a Horn of the Unicorn
because when it is destroyed it goes to the top of you’re deck. I also play
fissure and that destroys his Battle Ox. I then play Mask of Darkness face down
I attach the Horn of the Unicorn to my Harpie’s Brother and attack again with a
2500 attack. On his next turn he uses a Remove Trap and removes my Call of the
Haunted. He attacks my Mask of Darkness with a La Jin and I get my Call of the
Haunted back. I then get another Horn of the Unicorn because when it is
destroyed it goes to the top of you’re deck. I use Call of the Haunted and get
my Harpie’s Brother back and attach the Horn of the Unicorn to it and I attack
his La Jin. On his turn he places a card face down and ends his turn. I draw and
get a Pot of Greed and I draw two more cards that are Soul Exchange and Summoned
Skull. I used Soul Exchange and exchanged his face down monster for my Summoned
Skull and I won the match.

Brian was also my friend and he had beaten me once. So I
draw and I get Witch of the Black Forest, Summoned Skull, Mystical Space
Typhoon, 7 Colored Fish, Trap Hole and I draw and get a Card Destruction. I
played Trap Hole face down and a 7 Colored Fish face up. He then uses Tribute to
the Doomed and kills my 7 Colored Fish. Then he plays a Harpie’s Brother but I
use Trap Hole. On my turn I get a Magic Jammer and play it face down. I also
place my Witch of the Black Forest face down. On his turn he uses Monster Reborn
but I use Magic Jammer. He then plays a La Jin and attacks my Witch of the Black
Forest. I use its effect and get my La Jin. On my turn I draw and get a Soul
Exchange. I play my La Jin in attack mode and I use it and Soul Exchange his La
Jin for my Summoned Skull. I then directly attack on his next turn he plays a
card face down. On my turn I draw and get a Jinzo and tribute my La Jin for it.
I attack directly. And that ends the duel.

Round 3: Duel 2
This time I draw a Barrel Dragon, Man-Eater Bug, Swords
of Revealing Light, Pot of Greed and Change of Heart. He goes first and sets
down a card in defense mode. I draw and get a Blue-Eyes White Dragon. I then use
Pot of Greed and get a Malevolent Nuzzler and a Fissure. I set down Man-Eater
Bug face down. On his turn he flips over his card (it was a La Jin). Then he
plays a Harpie’s Brother and attacks my Man-Eater Bug. I use its effect and
destroy his La Jin since he hasn’t attacked with him yet. On my turn I draw a La
Jin. I add Malevolent Nuzzler to it and use Change of Heart and attack with his
monster and my monster. After that I Fissured his Harpie’s Brother. On his turn
he uses Tribute to the Doomed and destroys my La Jin. Then he played a 7 Colored
Fish and attacked my life points directly. On my draw and get a Raigeki. I then
use Swords of Revealing Light and that ends my turn. On his turn he switches his
7 Colored Fish to defense mode and plays a Battle Ox in defense mode. On my turn
I draw and get a 7 Colored Fish and attack his Battle Ox. On his turn he plays a
La Jin in defense mode. On my turn I draw and get an Axe of Despair. On his turn
he plays another 7 Colored Fish in defense mode. In between turns my Swords of
Revealing Light are destroyed. On my turn I get a Harpie’s Brother and use
Raigeki. So I attack with Harpie’s Brother and 7 Colored Fish and that only
leaves him with 100 life points. On his turn he plays a monster face down. On my
turn I tribute the 7 Colored Fish and Harpie’s Brother for Barrel Dragon, I use
Barrel Dragon’s effect and guess right and I destroy his face down monster then
I directly attack with Barrel Dragon I bring his life points to
0.

Round 4: Duel 1
Jun Lee is good at dueling he’s from South Korea. So I
draw and get a 7 Colored Fish, Mystical Space Typhoon, Robbin’ Goblin, Magic
Jammer and Dark Elf. He goes first and places a monster face down. I place Magic
Jammer face down. I then put 7 Colored Fish on the field and attack his face
down monster. It was a Man-Eater Bug. On his turn he pulls out a Harpie’s
Brother and attacks directly. On my turn I draw and get a Man-Eater Bug. I then
place Robbin’ Goblin face up and then I place Dark Elf on the field but he ties
to use Trap Hole and I flip over my Magic Jammer. I then I attack and destroy
his Harpie’s Brother. I use Robbin’ Goblin and this time I take his Fissure out
of his hand. On his turn he uses Soul Exchange and exchanges my Dark Elf for his
Summoned Skull and he attacks directly. On my turn I draw and get a Change of
Heart. I then play my Man-Eater Bug face down. So I use Change of Heart and
attack with his Summoned Skull directly. I use Robbin’ Goblin and take out his
Card Destruction. On his turn he attacks my Man-Eater Bug with his Summoned
Skull but I use Man-Eater Bug’s effect. On my turn I draw and get a Pot of Geed,
I use it and get a Summoned Skull and a La Jin. I place La Jin on the field an
attack directly. I use Robbin’ Goblin and take out his Soul Exchange. On his
turn he plays a card face down and that ends his turn. On my turn I draw Raigeki
and use it. I tribute La Jin for the Summoned Skull and attack directly. On his
turn he doesn’t set anything down and on my turn I attack directly with Summoned
Skull again.

Round 4: Duel 2
This time I go first and I draw a Harpie’s Brother,
Mirror Force, Maha Vailo, Tribute to the Doomed, Monster Reborn and draw since
its my turn and get a Jinzo. I lay down my Harpie’s Brother face down and I also
law Mirror Force face down. On his turn he places a Jirai Gumo on the field but
he guesses the flip wrong. He attacks my Harpie’s Brother but I use Mirror
Force. On my turn I draw and get a Blue-Eyes White Dragon. On my turn I use my
Monster Reborn and get his Jirai Gumo I guess right and I attack with 4000
attack points of direct power.

Round 5: Duel 1
Mark is probably is probably the best duelist in the
store I have only beaten him once. I go first and I draw La Jin, Man-Eater Bug,
Mystical Space Typhoon, Magic Jammer and Summoned Skull I draw since it’s my
turn and get Card Destruction. I place my Man-Eater Bug face down and I do the
same with Magic Jammer. On his turn he places a La Jin face up and attacks my
Man-Eater Bug I use its effect and destroy his La Jin. On my turn I draw and get
a Magician of Faith. I play La Jin he tries to use a Trap Hole but I use Magic
Jammer. I attack directly and I end my turn. On his turn he use a Swords of
Revealing Light and put a monster in defense mode. I draw and get an Axe of
Despair. On my turn I used Mystical Space Typhoon and destroyed his Swords of
Revealing Light. I tribute my La Jin for Summoned Skull and add Axe of Despair
to it and destroy his monster. On his turn he places a monster face down and
ends his turn. On my turn I draw and get a 7 Colored Fish. Then I put on the
field and attack his face down monster. I then directly attack with Summoned
Skull. On his turn he puts a monster face down and he ends his turn. Then on my
turn I get a Change of Heart I use it and then attack directly with Summoned
Skull and 7 Colored Fish to end the match.

All I can remember is the he used a Swords of Revealing
Light and got out 2 Summoned Skulls and a Jinzo out on me at the same
time.

This was the deciding match. I got out a Summoned Skull
and a Blue-Eyes White Dragon to finish him of. He got a Summoned Skull on me 1
time but I destroyed it with the Blue-Eyes White

In my free booster pack I got a Call of the Haunted. In
the 8 boosters for winning the tournament I got some Labyrinth of Nightmare
booster and got a Gemini Elf, Magic Cylinder, United We Stand and some other
cards. I haven’t wasted my store credit yet. When I got home I traded my brother
Domon my Card Destruction, Mystical Space Typhoon, Horn of the Unicorn, second
holographic Monster Reborn for his Gemini Elf and Kucoo. I went over to my
friend’s Jake house and me and my other friend Jorge were staying over. I traded
Sanga of the Thunder and Suijin for Jorge’s Spellbinding
Circle.
