This is my first tourney report, (but not tourney ;) ) this was really cool though, one of my high school teachers actually likes this game and got clearance to use the gym for a tournament sponsered by our local game store Jack's Game Corner. They had to make it 1/1 though due to time constraints.

1 Heavy Storm (Whoa, did I destroy that lock you had on me?)

Well I made this deck as soon as I heard about the tournament, I really wanted to win because I hadn't in awhile. So I showed up and recieved my pack of choice from the start that I could put in my deck before the tourney started I picked Magic Ruler and pulled....crap as always. So I put that aside and bought a cherry coke and looked for my friend Jake (runs Exodia). Couldn't find him, he finally shows up five minutes before they show the bracket for the first round. It was really cool, they had it projected on a huge screen on the back wall.
Now to the dueling:

Round 1: Me vs. Starter Deck Kid

Well this was an annoying match, this kid had a Yugi deck with maybe one or two boosters. His opening move was Celtic Guardian in attack mode, so I slap down chaser and kill that off and set down Magic Jammer. He plays a monster facedown and another m/t facedown. I tribute my chaser for a skull and then he activates trap hole which I jammer by discarding Fissure. I change of heart his Giant Soldier of Stone and slap an axe on skull and just kill him off from there.
Winner: Me

Round 2: Me vs. Daniel

I was running scared, Daniel was good, he ran dragons and had three blue eyes and 2 tri-horns ready for me. He went first and played Koumori Dragon (??!!) in attack mode. I played Change of Heart to tribute for Jinzo who I slapped in axe on and attacked directly. Then he plays Lord of D. and a flute to summon two Blue-Eyes and put a nuzzler on one that killed my Jinzo he attacked directly with the other. I drew and got RAIGEKI! I blew his entire field apart then summoned a chaser with an axe and started the pounding. He couldn't get anything else out.
Winner: Me

Round 3: Me vs. Dumb Luck kid.

This was pathetic, at one point he summoned a Red-Eyes with a nuzzler and attacked, but I had Mirror Force lying in wait, from there on a complete embarrasment for the poor kid. Can't believe he got all the way to the semis.

Well my friend Jake got eleminated in the semis as well which meant I was facing....

Round 4: Me vs. Mr. Hall (Teacher who organized tourney)

Ahhhhhhhhhh crap. This wasn't gonna be cool. Hall ran Exodia and had me quite frightened. But the duel began with him setting Mystic Tomato which I Change of Hearted to bring out Jinzo. He kept setting cards I kept making stupid mistakes and he kept getting good draws. I had Jinzo and two skulls, each one with an axe and he lays out Exodia for me.
Winner: Mr. Hall

Props:

-Me for getting to the Finals
-Mr. Hall for a well fought duel and a well-organized tourney
-For Jinzo and my Skulls

Slops:

-Pulling nothing out of all of my boosters
-Daniel for being completely off his game
-To Jake for forgetting that Backup can't bring back the Exodia head.
