My deck:

Here Thar be Dragons (Dragon-esque Beatdown)

Cards: (43)

Monsters: (23)
2-star
Effect-
1x Man-Eater Bug (say hello to my little friend...)

3-star
Effect-
1x Magician of Faith (for re-using my flutes)
1x Cyber Jar (You WERE winning, but now I’m going to turn the tables)

4-star
2x Harpie's Brother (gotta love the 1800 attackers)
2x La Jinn the Mystical Genie of the Lamp (more 1800 Atk goodness)
2x 7 colored Fish (that's one nasty fish)
1x Gearfried The Iron Knight (1800 Atk and with no equip cards he's not a liability)
1x Darkfire Soldier #2 (for until I get another 1800 Atk mon)
Effect-
3x Lord of D. (SUMMON those dragons!)
2x Wall of Illusion (stall until I draw those dragons)
1x Dancing Fairy (They're so cute! And they refill my Life Points)
1x Big Eye (for search)

6-star
1x Summoned Skull (in case I don't have a BEWD handy)

7-star
1x Red Eyes Black Dragon (not as powerful as a BEWD, but just as scary)

8-star
3x Blue Eyes White Dragon (my deck's main source of muscle)

Magic: (13)
1x Swords of Revealing Light (good for stall)
2x Fissure (3000 points of direct damage is sweet)
1x Raigeki (shimmering lightning bolt of deathness)
1x Dark Hole (lose your monsters to my black hole of oblivion!)
1x Change of Heart (nice Dark Elf, now she's working for ME)
1x Monster Reborn (you killed my blue eyes! Wait, he's back...)
1x De-Spell (Because I'm not the only person who plays SORL)
3x Flute of Summoning Dragon (my Lord of D. is musical)
1x Giant Trunade (get those traps off the field!)
1x Snatch Steal (That's mine!)

Traps: (7)
2x Trap Hole (your monsters are pretty useless if you can't summon them!)
1x Waboku (I may LOOK vulnerable, but only because your monster can't do any damage!)
1x Reverse Trap (for all those players with their %$#! Axe of Despairs...)
1x Ultimate Offering (if I'm without a Lord of D. or a Flute, this'll get my BEWDs out in a pinch)
1x Michizure (you sunk my battleship, now you're going down too!)
1x Seven Tools of the Bandit (I hate Solem Judgement, this kicks its butt)

Side Deck: (15)

Monsters: (3)

1x Summon Skull
1x 4-starred Ladybug of Doom
1x Penguin Soldier

Well, I was feeling good about this tourney, I'd made some improvements to my deck and I was sure I'd get further than last time (second round >_<), and there were fewer people there but it was mostly that there were fewer little kids... which meant I played a competent duelist the first round. Nothing to worry about, right?

Round one: Zac Vs. Lee

First Duel: I should have been worried, this guy was playing a dragon deck too, but he had more better cards, and he actually pulled off his Lord of D./Flute of Summoning Dragon combo, whereas I didn't. I think I got a bum call though, because when I tried to play Waboku he said it didn't affect his dragons because Lord of D. was on the field, and the judge upheld it, even though I was sure Waboku wasn't a targeted effect, and the Lord of D. text specifically says "targeted effects"... Anyway, needless to say it was downhill after that, I lost without even scratching his Life Points.

Second Duel: I managed to get out some good monsters this time, but it didn't matter he pulled the combo again and started kicking my butt. I used Snatch Steal to get his Twin-Headed Thunder Dragon and tributed it for my REBD, but he played Change of Heart and killed me with it. >_< I'm disgusted with myself.

After that I got my Tournament Pack (two level 5 1800 attackers and a level 4 1450 attacker, urgh...). I bought some boosters, but didn't get much good out of them either. Dueled a few people for fun, etc. I got to do some trading this time, though. I got a Dark Elf for my Magician of Faith, traded my Mask of the Accursed and Penguin Soldier for a Jar of Greed, and got a Fairy Meteor Crush for the Jam Breeding Machine I'd just drawn from a LON booster, so it was cool. All in all, being there with people I knew just made this tourney more fun than last time, even if I didn't get very far. There's always next time.

Props:
*To Card Connection for holding the tourney.
*To my opponent for being a good sport.
*To my friends for being there, and making the experience much more enjoyable.
*For getting some good trades.

Slops:
*For getting knocked out in the FIRST round.
*For getting bad boosters, and getting a WORTHLESS Tournament Pack.
*Because I KNOW that judge called that ruling wrong... *mutters*
