Hey! I came to Gametek confident that my deck would do well after I took 1st last week. I'd also like to clear up a mistake. I said the Ultra-Rare Summoned Skull were LOB, I found out they were MRD. Sorry... I also got all my starter deck cards in thier Rare or Foil forms. I signed up at then went 3 stores down to get some food at the Hot-Wok. Mmmm...  Lemon Chicken and Fried Rice. I returned about 30 minutes later with Phillip and just in time for the start of the duels.

Round 1: Me vs. Mike (Dragon)
Mike runs a good Dragon deck with triples of every powerful dragon. I used Prohibition on Lord of D, so I wouldn't have to worry about his dragons yet. I layed a Wall of Illusion in defense and set Ceasefire and Trap Hole. He layed a monster in defense and set 2 M/T. I flipped Ceasefire and he took 500 damage for his Man-eater Bug. I saced my Wall for Summoned Skull attacked his attack mode Man-eater Bug. 2050 damage. He layed another f/d monster. I attacked it with Summoned Skull and it was a Magician of Faith. He layed another f/d monster! God man! I was getting tired of this so I drew and played Pot of Greed and got Axe of Despair and Raigeki. I layed a GAF and attacked an Axe to Summoned Skull, Raigeki'd the field and attacked with both for the win.

Round 2: Me vs. Marcus (Velocity-Beatdown)
I am really nervous when I play velocity decks because they have all non-tribute monsters. So thier really likely to have monsters on the field, so not much direct attacking. I got a Goblin Attack Force and a Summoned Skull in my first hand. I drew Raigeki. Things are lookin' pretty good. I layed my Force and set Trap Hole and Mirror Force. He layed a Maha Vaio with an Axe and ended his turn. I attacked his Maha Vailo with the Force and saced for Summoned Skull and attacked again. He tried to Fissure it, but I had a Magic Jammer waiting. I layed a Dark Elf and attacked with both for the win.

Round 3: Bye
I really hate byes. I always get them, I offered to give it to Phillip, but he declined. I traded my Mechanicalchaser in to the store for a 2 PSV and an MRD booster box. Don't ask me what I got, I haven't opened them yet.

Round 4: Finals Me vs. Phillip (Flash-Beatdown with sick power-ups)
I beat him last time, but I wasn't sure about this time. I knew he had 3 Solemn Wishes, so I sidedecked in a Megamorph for a Fissure. I got Summoned Skull out early and got him really low life points, even with his Solemn Wishes. I had about 3000 life points when he used DNA Surgery on his monsters to turn them into machines. He then used Raigeki on my monsters and Limiter Removal on his monsters to kick my @$$ into the ground.

I'm kind of glad I lost, because I was getting cocky. I got a kick in the b@lls after I faced Phillip. I collected my 2 booster packs and pulled a Black Pendant and a Paracite Paraside. Yipee! Not. I traded them to a little kid for an Axe of Despair. I went over to Phllip's house and we dueled for a while then went in the woods behind his house and played paintball. I accidently shot his cat. Oops.
