During my 3 months of silence, Batman's thousands of fans all around the world have been asking where their favorite superhero was. Well I'm back baby! Batman walks into Collector's International with his sunglasses on, trying to look cool like Neo (but failed, and instead looked like a blind person). The first match was: Batman vs Chang Chang was using Jonathan's "weenie beatdown" deck. It had mostly those 1000 atk effect monsters (nimbles, germs, sangan, etc) There were many times when I could just put a kycoo on the field and he wouldn't be strong enough to attack. My beatdown monsters outpower his mini-beatdown monsters. No sweat this match. Batman vs Andy Andy exposed one of my flaws. I was dueling with my shades on, and that was helping him. The first match, I was on the run when he had Hades out. I set down my only monster, a Goblin. On his turn, he puts down a sinister serpent and attacked my facedown card, and then attacked with the rest, winning the game. How did he know my facedown monster had 0 defense? BY LOOKING AT THE REFLECTION ON MY SHADES! Woe, dirty! Ok no more shades, I went on to win the next 2 games, didn't remember anything tho. Batman vs Man When I heard who my next opponent was, I was like "Damn, I'm going up against the whole human race?" But it just turned out to be some dude named Man. I take the first match with no problem. Next match I was in the lead until he was able to get out his big guns, the almighty Barrel Dragon. With my hand used up, I knew that I had to draw something to defeat it quick. Barrel shoots, my Gemini tries to dodge them bullets like Neo, but fails. Barrel took 2 hits of direct damage to my life points before I was able to draw skull lair. Things began to turn around a bit. With my skull lair out, he didn't dare put a faceup monster. I clear the field and try to attack, screaming in horror as he revealed his own dungeon of death, the Skull Lair. WIth both sides having skull lair, the attacks haulted. Each playing waiting to draw a magic removal or kycoo. Finally he draws a Heavy Storm, eliminated both Skull Lair threats. THen he uses a monster removal and gets another hit of direct damage with Airknight. Both player's lifepoints was in the hundreds. Graceful Charity deals me a Magic Cylinder. I pretended it was a miserable hand and let out an "awww crap" as I set down my Cylinder. He attacks, and wins the game for me. Batman vs Jimmy Another Barrel Dragon deck. Props to Bandit Keif for starting this whole craze. I admit I have a Barrel deck myself. First match, Cannon Soldier with it's limit removed destroys my lifepoints. Second match and third match I win, just because I have a pure no strategy beatdown deck while his deck needed good draws and time to set up his machine attack force. Batman had accomplished what he didn't in a long time: win a tournament. And I did it without any LOD stuff. I picked my prize: 4 LOD boosters. I let Ricky open two and I opened two. Ricky pulled me some crappy rares, while i pulled General Freed and Yata! Whoa! The Oracle fortune cookie was right when it gave me the message "You will have a good day" Decided to duel for fun with my Yata. First match with my Yata, I was able to execute Yata-Lock on Michael. Second match, Yata Lock again. He just got up and left. Didn't matter if he had 5000+ lifepoints left. Yata-lock=instant win like Exodia. That bird is dangerous yo! Quote of the Day: "I don't hang out with people who don't use Kuribohs" -Ricky Most Useful Card of the Day: Skull Lair Props to: Yu Gi Oh Virtual Desktop Ladder, where I trained and improved my deck and dueling skills Anyone not running a "pure beatdown no strategy deck" The Pokemon theme song, for making me "wanna be, the very best, like no one ever was" The Oracle fortune cookie Slops to: All the Card thieves All the people I know that are quitting/have quit Yu Gi OH minhp42@yahoo.com
