I barely built this a week ago from practically nothing! Anyway, I've finally returned after a long break... actually, I was told there'd eventually be no more Tournaments so I quit, but instead they only got bigger and more popular! Anyway, it's been a week since I assembled this Deck and I've managed to acquire quite a few great cards in that time: Fiber Jar: pulled from LOD booster Yata-Garasu: traded Injection Fairy Lily (which I pulled) Jinzo: traded for $5.00 and a Freed the Matchless General Harpie's Feather Duster: bought the GBA game Premature Burial: bought for $10.00 Raigeki: traded $5.00 and a Bottomless Trap Hole Swords of Revealing Light: bought for $5.00 Imperial Order: bought for $10.00 (1st Edition) Mirror Force: traded Torrential Tribute The rest are mostly Starter Deck cards. My goal is to make a Tournament-worthy Magnet Deck, which I've been planning since I discovered Edo's website way back when. I already have two Valkyrion the Magna Warriors, which is how many I need, but my problem is the Magnet Warriors. I'm gonna get the PS2 game, which'll give me one of each, but I'll still need to get two more of each Magnet Warrior and I don't intend to buy three PS2 games! Hey, if anyone out there has a set of Magnets they feel like givin' away, send me an E-Mail and I'll give ya' my address... :D Round 1 Me vs Marco Well, I think that's what his name was, anyway. I'd swear that his Deck was even more randomized than mine, and that's saying something. After some of the usual LP-damaging, he activated his own Messenger of Peace, which began the 12-turn waiting period before he Typhooned his own card and left himself open to an assault by my Summoned Skull! Round 2 Me vs Manuel I've dueled Manuel hundreds of times, considering he's one of my best friends. He's as determined to give Harpie Lady Decks the respect they deserve as I am with my upcoming Magnet Deck! I did some damage with 7 Colored Fish and his Flying Kamakiri #1 (due to Change of Heart) but he turned things around with Harpie's Brother and Bladefly. After trading control of the field a few times, we were both at pretty low LP before I managed to clear out the field and get him in a Yata-Lock! Semi-Final Round Me vs Ivan If they were taking bets on this duel, I would'a had $20.00 on Ivan. I drew a very good hand, which I used to dust away all of Ivan's traps and do some LP damage with Gearfried the Iron Knight. He eventually tried to mount an offensive against my monsters, but I Mirror Forced away that problem. Once he finally ended turn, I finished this duel. Final Round Me vs Ted I knew I wouldn't win! He knew I wouldn't win! It's not that he's over-confident or that I lack self-confidence. We're just realists! Ted is a good friend of mine, so I know how great his Deck is. To be honest, I don't remember exactly how it happened, but I do remember that I tried to Yata-Lock him and he ended up clearing out my field very fast. However it went down, all I know is I was gettin' the 2nd place prize! I was really surprised I made it all the way to the finals. It turned out for the best, too, since I pulled Fiber Jar out of my prize LOD pack! I almost wish I would'a gotten 1st though, since Ted pulled an Airknight Parshath from one of his prize LOD packs, which I really need! Drawing is key for my Magnet Deck, and the defense-bypassing qualities are attractive too. Oh, well... I got a lot of great cards last week... let's see what I can do this week!
