2nd Place: 3 boosters of Choice

3rd Place: 2 boosters of Choice

This is my 2nd tourney report I am writing and I’m not sure if the first one got posted but here we go anyway.  Today I got there around 1:30 and registered for the tourney and just looked around.  I saw Steve, the guy who crushed me last time, sitting near some guy who had a TP2 Morphing Jar!  He didn’t want to trade it because it was extremely rare and he wanted to complete the TP2 set.  Well I spotted this guy at my school named Dan and he looked at my cards and wanted my Exiled Force and since I was missing my cyber jar, I traded it for one.  Next I looked back at Steve and saw he was dueling the guy with the morphing jar in his binder.  So it was Steve’s Warrior Deck and Morphing Jar guy’s Exodia Deck.  I believe Steve lost the first duel due to loss of lifepoints, won the second with beatdown, and lost the third because of exodia.  I walked around and saw a kid who wanted free cards and I gave him some rares from LOD, which he used in his deck (Susa Soldier and some others).

The judges then rounded everyone up for announcements and parings.  They announced that there was 0 tolerance for thievery, behavior, and sportsmanship.  If they caught you doing something you shouldn’t, you would be banned until notice.  They also announced there were 2 prizes for the raffle, a box of LOD and the FINAL set.  Afterwards, they paired us up and I had to face a kid named Matt.

Match 1: Eric’s Beatdown vs. Matt’s Beatdown equiped with Killer Squirrels

Duel 1: He went first and we went back and forth with beatdown monsters, Me with a 1800 attackers and a gemini and him with his dark elves and nimble momongas.  I snatch stole here and there which slowed him down but he eventually beat me because I could not draw any monsters.

Duel 2: He went first again this time and he did a poor job cutting my deck, which gave me the same cards as before.  He used Forceful Sentry and sent my Yata back to my deck and the same thing happened the first duel again.

So I lost and he went and told the judge while I looked around at people dueling and got some boosters.  I got a bunch of rares and a super rare, Ryu-Senshi or something.  I tried looking for an Injection fairy Lily.  I found a person who had one and offered him a Creature Swap and Last Turn for it but he refused.  I found another person with it but wouldn’t take Last Turn or Yata for it.  I regretted ever trading my Injection Fairy Lily for a Creature Swap a few weeks back.  I stopped looking for one and got some food.  I spotted Steve dueling a guy named Something Priest (can’t remember his first name).  Steve told me Priest was a bad duelist and out of 10 duels and he indeed sucked and only won 2 duels due to Steve using Solemn Judgement in both duels.  I left and looked around for some more trades but didn’t get any.  So I looked around for Steve again and saw him eating so I sat with him.  I asked him how much he was selling one of his TP1 Mechanical Chaser’s for and he said 120 bucks.  I said that was reasonable for a TP1 and asked him how he got his Chasers.  He told me that he got one in a TP pack and another by trading a Time Wizard to a kid across the room.  I cursed under my breath for the kid being so stupid and he asked me to duel.  I agreed.

Practice Match 1: Eric’s Beatdown vs. Steve’s Warrior Beatdown

Practice Duel 1: It was a fun duel where he hit me for some and I hit him for some.  During one part, I attacked his fiber jar and I put mine down and I drew it again and set it again.  Eventually he beat me, I forget how but I do remember it was overkill.

Practice Duel 2: Same as first duel but not as many fiber jars.

Afterwards Priest came by and asked Steve if I was any good and he said, “Of course, everyone is better than you.”  I smiled and didn’t laugh because Priest was very annoying.

Practice Match 2: Eric’s Beatdown vs. Priest’s Beatdown mixed with Relinquished

Practice Duel 1: He complained he had a bad hand and he probably did because I beat him without him summoning many monsters or Relinquished.  He did have some counters ready though but they weren’t good enough.

Practice Duel 2: Same thing happened except he did summon relinquished which I tribute to the doomed.  He summoned another relinquished and sucked up my cyber jar but I used Raigeki and the killed him with a Gemini elf.

After I beat him he challenged me again.

Practice Rematch: Eric’s Beatdown vs. Priest’s Beatdown with Mixed Relinquished

Practice Duel 1: This time he used creature swap which gave me a nimble and he got my axe powered la jinn and he used that to defeat me.

Practice Duel 2: I don’t remember this duel but it was close and I think he beat me with relinquished.

He left the table and I put my cards away.  I turn around see my mom come trough the door and went to her (perfect timing!).  So I went home and took out my Goblin Attack Force and Nutrient Z and put in Opticlops and returned Nobleman of Crossout back to my deck.
