My cousin camealong with me to watch me duel He likes the TV show and was facinated to see it actually happening. Everywhere I went I was getting compliments on my overly blue Super Saiyan shirt. Sorry if I can't remember details, I didn't plan on writing this. I entered the Tourney for $5; it was appx. a 30 person tournament. For entering the Tom, the shop owner, was giving out Magic Ruler Packs, since he's been out of TP3 for weeks. I pulled Serpent Night Dragon, slightly misprinted. A good start, I thought, even if Serpent sucks. By the way, isn't Serpent Night the retail pack? Shouldn't I have gotten GG or something? Round One Preturbed VS Green Sleeves (Blah Beatdown) I can't remember much about this guy. He used one of those beatdowns thats not quite recent enough to compete. He was alright but he went down fairly fast. He did manage to hit me a couple times with his Kycoo and ransacked my graveyard in the first round, which was, by the way, the closest. In the next round all my hand killing came out and I managed to Yata-lock him. Round Two Preturbed VS Matt ("Upgraded Evil Deck") Matt is a lot like me. He's a person with a creative mind, and he refuses to run standard beats. His only problem is that he doesn't quite understand good hand management. The deck he runs is based on summoning the masked beast, not my favorite ritual monster, but apparently he likes the power. Anyway I took him down fast and hard in the first round, and in the second I managed to ransack his hand enough that he couldn't do anything, even though I only got out little monsters. I have his Bazoo, so if you read this, Matt, contact me. Round 3 Preturbed VS Old Guy (Good Beat) This man is a case of a father who got into the game because of his son, and then got hooked himself. He seems to have enough cash to make whatever decks he likes. Anyway this was a long, hard match, and it was really a lot of fun. The first duel was really close, something like my 2100 to his 2300 before my final hit. I got Tyrant Dragon out this duel, and he did some damage, but he attacked a face down Nyudoryua (oops). The second one I again got out my Yata. I comboed him with my Spirit of Flames and went at him. Unfortunately I hit a snag, Penguin Soldier, then I got out Spirit again, troop dragon, and again another. After that I really started laying into his hand, and due to lack of draw, he called game. At this point I reported my win and got my top 4 pack, a PGD. I opened it and, strangely enough, got my 2nd secret rare of the day, Lava Golem! It was supposed to be a Ring of Destruction, got the retail SCR in the hobby pack. Round 4 Preturbed VS Green Shirt (Stall'n'Shoot Exodia) This guy was pretty good with his Exodia. In the first round I held out for a while; we were both way down in LP when he pulled Exodia on me. I really expected to lose that round anyway once I knew what he was doing, since I'm generally unprepared for Exodia. Round two I decked in Exchange, Dark Ruler Ha-Des, and Nobleman of Crossout. I crossed out his sinister serpent, managed to hold him off with Fiber Jar, and eventually stole his exodia peice with exchange. After that he was doomed, but he tried holding out with cannon soldier/scapegoat. It didn't work, and in the end I would up change of hearting his cannon and shooting itself for the final 500 of damage. In round three he just plain took me. He was shallow graving left and right, and for his finisher, he actually used it 3 times in a row, with the help of a Magician of Faith. He shot all 3 and got Exodia in his hand just like that. I was out, but not unhappy. 2 SCR in 1 day really constitutes a money GAIN for me. I walked out happy, and my cousin, my girlfriend Kristian and I went to see Pirates of the Caribbean. A very good movie. Kristian says Johnny Depp was funny, Orlando Bloom was hot. I say the main girl was SEXY. But then, I'm getting off topic. Props: ~ My cousin Jordan for bringing me the luckiest pull day in my tourney history. ~ Tom for handing me 2 SCR in a Row ~ Matt for being creative with his deck ~ The guy from round 3 for being a very gracious loser ~ The pirates of the Caribbean girl - hottie! Slops ~ Me for forgetting that shallow grave gets BOTH players a monster. ~ Me for trying to premature burial a Ha-Des ~ Getting a Lava Golem instead of a Ring of Destruction My Info: Preturbed (Isaac) oopreturbedoo@netscape.net
