July 27, 2003: Official Upperdeck Tournament

This is Red XIII with my deck Cosmo Memory (most powerfulest limit breaker of this character of FF7, meaning my deck has reached its full potential). This is not my real deck so biters cannot try to copy. Well, since I did quite well this week I just decided to write a report…

1st match: Won- BYE

Well, since I got a bye like many of my other friends I decided to just talk around and chill while I wait for my opponent...

2nd match: Won- Terrance

I have played this kid quite a few times during the advanced tournaments. I don't recall him ever beating me in a single duel so I knew this wouldn't be hard. Although, he did run a decent and good necrofeare dark deck. First duel as Voltaire was watching me I told him I have messed up my deck due to the fact I been tweaking it a lot to improve it and things were looking pretty bad for me as this kid brings me down to 3600 or so and him at 7200. I soon decided to fiber jar and just as this fiber jar happened my hands began to look normal following up with balanced draws which I soon took him out with a Don Zaloog on the field with cards protecting it like ring of destruction, mirror force, etc. Discarding many cards in his hands with removal I began to catch up soon ending him with out taking anymore damage. Second duel was easy while I started off with a graceful and a forceful plopping a staple back in his deck, then gracefuled to improve my hand. This whole duel I was in control forcing him to have no monsters left on the field and slowly depleted his hand leaving him with very slim options drawing 1 card by 1 card from his deck. 2-0.

3rd match: Forfeited- Kevin (semi finals)

Well once again I am meeting up with Kevin, a fellow member of my current alliance in the semi finals right before the championship round. He just knocked out one of our members too, Nick. I want to play vs. him but a few weeks ago I promised I would forfeit to him because he was gonna give me some tourney packs so I guess i did and he advanced into the Championship round vs Brandon another fellow member.

Props:

-Me for reaching 1 round before championship

-New Avalanche Alliance for getting far

-"None" of our members (Avalanche) got knocked out by any duelists except our own members

-Nick for doing decent with my weak/fun deck

-Becoming no 1 duelist at store

-Not losing a single match today

-Once again getting Voltaire to do pushups for losing to me

-Got many good trades

-Won a dollar from Marcus (K-force 1) from dueling for money

Slops:

-Not getting to play onto the championship

Shouts to the duelists:

edmund, brandon, nick, kevin, steffon, serf, voltaire, james, alex, marcus + rest of kforce for bringin down alot of competition, and many other advanced duelists.
