Since I didn't get all the cards before hand I could only make a weaker V1.74.  Ugh, it wasn't THAT bad.  In fact it was pretty good but it just had a few upgrades in the next deck.

Round 1: Matt vs. New Guy w/ Earth deck

I underestimated him early.  He played Gaia Power.  I thought ROFL, win for me.  Wow, was I wrong.  His earth deck was pure force.  He summoned his stuff quickly and began getting life point damage on me.  I did the first good damage.  That was all I got though.  He cut me short and beat me up with 2 Rock Spirits.  Not a fun outing.  Needless to say, I lost the first game.

The 2nd game was a little different.  I Forceful Sentry'd getting away his 1 monster.  He had no useful magics, a Summoned Skull and something else.  I did relatively good damage.  It took about 4-5 turns for Hayabusa Knight & Cyber Jar to make chop suey out of his life points.  Great duel for me and it boosted my confidence level back up a bit.

The next game I did a big hit.  He did a bigger hit, and then I Dark Holed.  This was when the fun started.  With a clear field and no cards in hand.  You know what time it is!! Yata-Lock.  Yes well this went over well with me, because it meant I was moving on.  The guy chose to get a Legacy of Darkness booster.  Pulled Yata-Garasu.  Oh well, I needed the points, as Im going to Florida for 3 weeks and will not be attending tournaments here.  *Wishes he could just go there and add the points to his score here*  Grr.

Round 2: Matt vs. Another New Guy with Semi-Beatdown

This guy was quick and easy.  I made quick work of his monsters.  I think Kycoo & Geminis were the best things he ended up getting out.  I got the good stuff and annialated him with speed.  Sorry!! XD.

Same story for game 2.

Round 3: Matt vs. Too many Fusion/Tribute deck

I dont remember too many details but I remember taking his good stuff out of his hand and Yata-Locking him twice.

Round 4: Matt vs. Yet another New Guy with Beatdown

These were good games.  He thought he could use Scapegoat on the same turn he conducts a summon and then use Hayabusa Knight with United We Stand.  Naughty thinking.  I said otherwise.  Judge called, ruled in my favor.  Thank you 120 pages worth of PDF rulings XD.  Anyways as the duel continued and we fought on, speed began to take advantage of him and discard came into play.  He ended up losing by a small margain.  With Cannon Soldier tributes I believe is what won me the duel.  And to think, I was thinking of swapping him out.  Naughty thinking.  Tututut.

The next game went almost the same except Injection Fairy Lily and Witch of the Black Forest got their turn to do damage.  Luckily I got him just in the nick of time, because he had a decent hand waiting to kill me.  Needless to say I won the game and the match.

Round 5: Matt vs. Michael D. w/ Beatdown

He quickly mustered something out of nothing before the tournament.  He just took his staples, decent monsters, a few teched things and went on with the game.  It almost worked in the first match.  I locked him up from the start using Delinquent Duo, Forceful and other removal cards.  I made him skip a few of his draw phases with Yata.  Doing slight damage.  I ended up Yata-Locking him in the end.

The next match he dominated.  Gave me a few hits, countered my good things.  I basically got owned in a little package.  Boo Hoo.

Round 6: Matt vs. Kyle w/ Beatdown

Yes this is a fellow member of Team Ultima. \m/  He can get the better of me a few times.  But for the most part in tourneys I beat him into the floor.  Outside of tourneys....well...I have some bad luck. :P.

Anyways on to the matches.  The first match we went hit for hit although battle damage wasnt too much of a factor because I ended up kicking up the butt when he got his stuff set up.  He still runs Bazoo making him vulnerable for Ring of Destruction.

The next game was closer.  Jinzo came out late game which owned my counter plans.  Good Game there I suppose.

The next game was VERY CLOSE.  He brought out Jinzo again and Bazoo.  Only this time the Jinzo was Axed.  Giving me a life point predicament.  I used Change of Heart on Jinzo then used Raigeki on the Bazoo.  I then summoned Cannon Soldier.  Attacked with both and tributed Jinzo.  This brought us almost dead even.  2100 for him 2000 for me.  He continued to knock off slight life points.  About 500 at a time.  He got me down to 700 and then my Spear Dragons proved to get the better of him.  I brought up Spear Dragons raping the defenses and giving me the win.  Yay me.

FINALS: Round 7: Matt vs. John with Discard

There wasn't much to say here.  John had bad hands in both matches.  Giving me the wins.  I dueled John after the tourney and won again, but I think we will meet further in the future and it will be a more difficult task.  It was an okay match though.
