3x Hysteric Fairy ( 1800 atk + combo w/ Scapegoat)

3x bait doll ( see what’s face down, anti-decking, and trap killer)

3x Malevolent Nuzzler ( decent, but not great)
2x Prohibition ( screws an opponents deck theme)

The deck is in need of fine tuning, which I will do when I feel like it. The beatdown masters, Hyabusa and Mad Sword Beast, are just SSSOOO much fun.
The Report
I got there just in time to enter, which was buying a pack to get in, the winner also got a pack of choice. Not the best, but about 75 cents a person ( 1 pack for 5 bucks, no change) times 11 people
is about 9 bucks, and the store has to make some profit, right? So I bought a Pharaoh’s Servant Pack, got Fairy’s Meteor Crush, and traded it for a 3rd Hyabusa Knight, a 3rd Mad Sword Beast, and a 2nd Forgiving Maiden. Then the Tourney started, 3 rounds, best 2 out of 3, the 2 who go 3-0 in the finals for 1st Place.
Round 1!
J-hype vs. no one
I got a bye 1st round. Unfortunately, whenever I get a bye in a tourney, I usually screw up my chances of winning later.
Round 2 !
J-hype vs. Evan (superb beatdown)
Evan has a ton of cards, cause him and his bro. Get boxes for B-days, Christmas, etc. I was a little worried, but it wasn’t that bad.
1st duel: I went first, so I set cyber jar and pass. He atks w/ GAF, we both get 1 mon, mine forgiving maiden, his spear dragon. I get out summoned skull, kill Spear Dragon. He kill summoned skull by adding Axe to Hysteric Fairy next turn. We exchange blows, and I eventually kill w/ 2 summoned skull.
2nd duel: losers option to go 1st, he says me first again. He couldn’t summon any monz, so I killed him in 3 turns.
Round 3 !
J-Hype vs. Shaun ( strange beatdown)
Last time we played it was even, and I was running a stall deck =/
neway, I planned to breeze right thru, but this was a lot harder than I had imagined. He had got a lot of cards from his bro, who is tied for the best at the store.
1st duel. He went first, played 7 colored and was done. I had all 3 bait doll and all three nuzzler to work with. I never drew a monster and was killed in next turn by jinzo,mon reborned 7 colored, and prematured SS he trashed w/ graceful Charity.
2nd duel: I was the aggressor, I main decked Card Destruction, which I got in opening hand. My new hand had Hyabusa, which I played, mon reborn, which got me SS discarded In opening hand, and CoH, which took his Bazoo. I powered up Bazoo and killed him
3rd duel: I got rid of Card Destruction, so if I made Finals, it wudnt be stuck in there. He had one mon, a magician of faith, and no magics in the graveyard, so Hyabusa killed it, next turn I play a 2nd Hyabusa w/ mask of brutality, put him down to 1000, and he gave up.
Finals !
I was fairly confident heading in, but when it was announced that I was to play Cory( the other player tied for best in the store) I knew I was screwed. He has 4 binders full of cards not counting 3 or 4 tins with his super and ultra rare cards and 10, yes TEN decks.
1st duel: he killed me. He went first laid 2 m/t cards. I set forgiving maiden and passed. He nobleman of crossout-ed my maiden played hyabusa, played united we stand ( he activated scapegoat when I set the Maiden) and hit me for 10000.
2nd duel: I go first and play Mad Sword Beast w/ nuzzler. He snatch steals, sacs for SS, reborns, the Beast, plays Axe on SS, plays mage pwr on Beast, fills puts down 2 m/t cards, and attacks me for 7700.
I forfeit because nothing I had in hand could stop him.
I got nothing for 2nd, but I still had time to kill, so I played some of Cory’s other decks. I beat his Legendary Fisherman deck, lost to the Masked Beast/ Yami deck and Jinzo 7 direct damage deck, then beat his dragon deck.
All in all, it was a good day. I made it to the finals in my 3rd tourney ever, so I was quite pleased with myself.
