I'm also not sure whether to have 2 Dream Clowns or keep my Rock Spirits; they aren't Warriors, but they work very well in this Deck. Other than that, I'm all set to go! There were a lot more duelists than I'm accustomed to, even though I was here last week too. I tried finding some Dream Clowns for my Deck, but no one had them! Well, there was actually one person who had a 1st Edition Dream Clown, but he wanted $4.00 for it... I think I'll buy a pack, thank you very much! I did manage to buy an extra Magic Cylinder for my friend Manuel for a mere $5.00! ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 1st Round Me vs Some Guy Nope, didn't know this person's name either. Anyway, he started off by summoning a Maha Vailo and setting a Trap Card, but I used Giant Trunade, summoned both of my Marauding Captains, equipped Snatch Steal & United We Stand to Maha Vailo and finished him off on my first turn! Keep in mind we start off with 6000 LP here (I know, I know). ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 2nd Round Me vs Some Other Guy Well, I wasn't too happy when my hand got Card Destructed from the get-go, but I managed to get a good second hand. He used Waboku to protect his Hoshiningen from my Gearfried the Iron Knight, then tributed it for Jinzo and took out my monster. That helped more than anything since I used Change of Heart on Jinzo, summoned Injection Fairy Lily, removed my Iron Knight from play to special summon The Rock Spirit and finished the duel in one massive strike! ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 3rd Round Me vs Matt I remembered this guy's name, only because it's the same as mine. From here on in, we had to win 2 out of 3 to advance. The first time, I managed to summon Marauding Captain, reborn his Barrel Dragon and attack directly. He managed to get Barrel Dragon out of the way and brought out his Wall of Illusion (equipped with Mage Power) for protection. I eventually equipped his Wall of Illusion with Snatch Steal, summoned my other Marauding Captain and attack for the finish. The second duel was a lot quicker. I used Giant Trunade on his lone Trap Card and used Change of Heart to flip his Cyber Jar. Once I Dark Holed and got my Sangan's effect, I summoned Marauding Captain with Injection Fairy Lily, reborned my Amazon Archer, equipped United We Stand to Marauding Captain and attacked. I knew he had Kuriboh, which he used on Marauding Captain, so I did 4800 damage. Once I saw he had 1200 LP left, all I had to do was tribute Lily and the Cap'n using Amazon Archer's effect to win the match on my first turn! --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Semi-Final Round Me vs Yet Another Guy Okay, so I'm back to not knowing my opponent's name. Anyway, he started off by sending my Raigeki back to my Deck via The Forceful Sentry, but I drew Graceful Charity and Pot of Greed to get myself some replacement cards. Once I cleared the field, I used Reinforcement of the Army to fetch my Marauding Captain, summoned the Cap'n with Injection Fairy Lily and attacked. He set a Magic/Trap Card and ended turn, but I took my chances anyway with another attack and won! He once again used The Forceful Sentry on me the second duel, this time taking away my Graceful Charity. I swear I shuffled and cut my Deck (everyone saw!) and yet somehow I drew the same Graceful Charity anyway! Once I used Heavy Storm and Raigeki, I summoned Marauding Captain with Injection Fairy Lily and attacked his LP. He used Exiled Force to destroy Lily, but left himself open to another attack by my Marauding Captain and Witch of the Black Forest! -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Final Round Me vs ........? Again, I give up on trying to remember the name! All I know is Card Destruction got me a much better hand than my original one. Once he summoned Goblin Attack Force and ended turn, I managed to gather a large force by equipping Snatch Steal to his Goblins, reborning my Gearfried the Iron Knight, equipping Premature Burial to Jinzo and summoning my own Goblins. I suspected he had Kuriboh, which is why I went all-out, but he ended up using two of them and surviving. Once he used Dark Hole, I knew he had field control, and things went downhill from there. The second match wasn't much better. He used Confiscation to destroy my Pot of Greed and, once I'd set some cards, cleared the field and got me in a Yata-Lock! All I had left in my hand was Giant Trunade, so I accepted defeat. See, in my final version of this Deck, I would'a had Graceful Charity instead of Giant Trunade and possibly had a chance to turn things around! Still, I got second place... YEAH! -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I got a few Legacy of Darkness packs for 2nd place, but unfortunately I pulled nothin' worth mentioning out of 'em! Oh, well... Pros for the Day -getting so far in the Tournament -buying Magic Cylinder for $5.00 -winning most of my duels in the 1st or 2nd turn, as my Warrior Deck is s'posed to do! Cons for the Day -pulling junk from my LoD packs -$4.00 for Dream Clown?!? C'mon... -having to leave the mall w/out knowing where my friends went As always, if anyone has any questions or suggestions, feel free to E-Mail me at mfillman125@msn.com anytime!
