I'd been working on a Magnet Deck, but some test runs on YVD kinda discouraged me from that, so I went for a Warrior Deck instead. A Warrior Deck was another Deck I'd wanted to make for a while, and the last straw was constantly seeing another duelist use his Warrior Deck defensively. Warriors aren't made to be defensive! So, I decided to show everyone what a Warrior Deck was all about, and so far it's performed wonderfully for me! All I need to do is replace Skull Lair with Call of the Haunted, Waboku with Magic Cylinder, The Warrior Returning Alive with another Graceful Charity, and maybe Delinquent Duo with either The Forceful Sentry or Last Will. Round 1 Me vs Frank I'm pretty sure Frank runs the standard Beatdown Deck: Gemini Elves, Kycoos, and so on. I drew Pot of Greed and Graceful Charity in my first hand, so I ended up with a lot of great cards that made my one-hit wonder possible: I Dusted his Magic Cylinder, used Reinforcement of the Army to bring Marauding Captain to my hand, summoned Marauding Captain and Injection Fairy Lily, used Change of Heart to take control of what turned out to be a Sinister Serpent, equipped United We Stand to Marauding Captain and attacked for 7300 damage! He put a couple of monsters out for some defense, but I broke through and managed to get in the necessary 700 LP damage. Round 2 Me vs Manuel Still running his Harpie Deck, as always! Acutally, this duel was kinda similar to the one with Frank. I Typhooned his Call of the Haunted, summoned Marauding Captain and Goblin Attack Force, used Change of Heart on his Mystical Elf, equipped United We Stand to Marauding Captain and attacked directly for 6700 damage! He put up some resistance, but it was nothing my Jinzo couldn't handle for me... ;) Final Round Me vs Ivan Last I heard, Ted was still fuming that he'd lost against Ivan (lol). Ivan has one of those rarely-seen Legendary Fisherman Decks, and I gotta say it works pretty damn well for him. I got his Magics and Traps out of the way, used Marauding Captain with Injection Fairy Lily to deliver a swift dent to his LP, then ended turn. He used Dark Hole and A Legendary Ocean to get his Legendary Fisherman on the clear field, but unfortunately the Fisherman's protection from attacks and Magic did nothin' for him against my Mirror Force! Once I Reborned his Legendary Fisherman, summoned Gearfried the Iron Knight and chipped away at his Life Points, he only had 100 LP left! At this point, he started getting annoying with his Aqua Spirit shifting my Fisherman and his 7 Colored Fish attacking my monster. Once I drew Harpie's Feather Duster, however, I had the window I needed to kill him with The Legenday Fisherman! Well, now that Ivan has another Tournament loss to avenge I'm sure I won't be hearing the end of it anytime soon... B) I pulled junk out of my two prize packs, but whatever. I bought a spare Reinforcements of the Army for $3.00, which I used to trade for Ryu Senshi. I was thinking about adding a Fusion to my Warrior Deck, but I think Fusions are still too unplayable, IMO. I've managed to get an onslaught of great cards in a couple of weeks' time. The best was undoubtedly my trip to Blockbuster. They had two sets of Magnet Warriors fresh from the PS2 games and I got 'em all for free! I took this as a sign to build my Magnet Deck after all, so I've revised it and it'll be in play soon (alternating with my Warrior Deck). After I got my Magnets, I bought a pack of LoD and pulled Injection Fairy Lily!!! Pros for the Last Two Weeks -pulling Injection Fairy Lily -getting six free Magnet Warriors -buying both Reinforcements of the Army for so cheap -managing to get two Marauding Captains, holo Time Wizard, Exiled Force, and other great holos -winning the Tournament -trading for Ryu Senshi Cons for the Last Two Weeks -pulling zero from my prize packs -spending a bit more cash on my Deck than I intended to... :\ If anyone has questions or suggestions, feel free to E-Mail me at mfillman125@msn.com anytime! =D
