The Duels

It was my second week back from A-kon. And I was looking to show everyone that  I was back and ready to play.  You see I had won the week before and I was out to prove to myself that it just wasn’t a fluke.  You see this deck is my own personal design it is not a copy or a similar version of another deck.  It is very original with very few outside influences.  As usual I arrived at 10:20.  Spent some trading and then I played some warm-up duels.  By the time 11:00 came around I was ready and confident.

Round 1

I played a newbe kid. Nothing really to tell except that it was fast, quick, and brutal.

Round 2

Same story older kid. It is not that he didn’t have experience.  It is just the face that he had only starter deck cards.

Round 3

I have a bye.  I talk to heather.  Give her some cards to help build her deck.  After all it is no fun if my opponent can never put up a fight.

Round 4

The guy cringes when he sees I am his opponent.  I have never seen this guy before yet somehow he knows that duel won’t be easy.  It was my best duel yet.  The man put up a great fight.  The feeling you get when you’re up against another person who may be as good or better than you.  Where you know one mistake could cost you the duel.  This is the main reason I duel.  This guy gave me that feeling.  Though he lost it was truly an honor to play him.

Round 5

The finals.  Beat down V.S. Lockdown.   My opponent is Coy.  Now Coy is very remarkable duelist not because of his exceptional skill, but because he duels in spite of his limitations.  You see Coy is deaf.  Don’t let the deaf man fool you.  He can still stomp you in a duel.  He made that very clear the first time we fought.  I have a “no holds barred” attitude when I duel.  My goal is to take all you life points no matter who you maybe.  That attitude force me to overlook the face that he was deaf and see him as a regular duelist.  That was the only reason I won that day.

Coy gets better every time I play him, and this time was no exception.  His lockdown deck came with some new arrivals.  It looks like he added some Dream Clowns for creature destruction and Magic Jammers for the protection of his Gravity Binds and Messengers of Peace.  This guy had me truly locked down.  I fiber jarred my way out three times before he finally took my life points.  The first game was his.  I quickly realize that I cannot win like this.  I go to my side deck and put in 2 Mystical space typhoons 2 Spiritualisms 1 Fissure and 1 Card Destruction.  I Took out 3 Goblin Attack Force, 2 Reinforcements of the Army, and 1 Bottomless Trap Hole.  With more stuff to pick the lock of his Lockdown deck I was able to take the second game.  What really won me that game was the Injection fairy Lily.  Since no one really uses that card in our tournament I had write down my rival how it can get past Messenger of Peace.  Our last and final duel was by me with the ever cheesy Yata-Garasu.

This is my report hope you like it.
