So long as I keep winning, Goku is gonna stay with me. Tournament Time! Tournament Data: Match One: Resistance Is Futile vs. Gian Exodia Deck Duel One: Winner: Me Life points of Me: 8000>7200 Life points of Opp: 8000>5500>0 Duel Breakdown: I set out Goku before we started and, just to mess with his head a bit, asked him if any of his monsters could compete with 1,500,000 power. He asked if I could do that and I told him of course not. All duel long he kept talking about how he was hoping he could get his "special" cards. I had no clue what he was talking about because there was no way it could be Exodia, his deck just didn't permit an Exodia strategy. At any rate, I set out my Summoned Skulls early and ripped him appart! The only damage done to me was by an Ookazi.... oh well, so it's not a flawless victory. Duel Two: Winner: Me Life points of Me: 8000 Life points of Opp: 8000>6200>4500>0 Duel Breakdown: Just to let you all know for the start of the last duel, I lost the coin toss...... again! This kid was still going on about his "special" cards. In his opener he got one and said, I think you're going to lose this one, I have one of my "special" cards. I'm thinking, whatever you say, but my forces are going to storm the field in a blitzkrieg of death. And that they did. I used Change of Heart on his face down Mystical Elf and got my Summoned Skull onto the field, though I only hit his life with La Jinn, he was going to feel the pain. My next draw phase shored up my second Skull, again the field was taken by my far superior army. After our duel he showed me that his "special" cards were the Exodia pieces. We were done dueling with 30 minutes left to wait before the next round, so I helped him trim his deck down so that it used only the essential Exodia cards.... well from what he had to work with anyway. Match Two: Resistance Is Futile vs. Blitzdown (Alliance Member: David Socier) Duel One: Winner: Me Life points of Me: 8000>6200>5400>4850>3300 Life points of Opp: 8000>5500>2000>1550>600>0 Duel Breakdown: What all aliance members fear, having to face each other in the tournaments, and here I was taking on our mage. We would see wether it was going to be strategy or sheer spell casting capability that would be the superior of the alliance, and it wound up being strategy, even if only by a small margin. I opened up by splattering his life points everywhere. My lonely Summoned Skull wanted a partner to help finish off my ally for the win, but then we got nuked and our shields were still being prepared. He then started pounding away at me with "Six" colored fishes and other big 1800 attackers, meanwhile I had to keep his field clean, which I did. In the end it came down to me 3300 and him 600, he had a Summoned Skull and a face down and I had my Regulation of Tribe in use with no monsters. I had to get rid of Regulation of Tribe because I handn't any monsters but I did draw Snatch Steal. I took his SS, nuked his side of the field, and tributed his SS for my own SS, this was just in case one of his face down M/T's was Wabaku, thankfully it wasn't, I won, his next card was a fissure, what good timing. Duel Two: Winner: Me Life points of Me: 8000>5500>4700>2000>1350>750 Life points of Opp: 8000>2000>0 Duel Breakdown: You see how the life point statuses are so close? This is what happens when alliance members are pitted against each other. At the start of this duel it appeared to me that his unique abitlity to cast spells was going to make me lose. He just kept destroying anything I tried to do. Then suddenly I saw a light at the end of the tunnel. I dug my way out of the hole by using fissure on his only monster, used monster reborn on my SS, flipped Mag O Faith, reborned another SS and took the field with them. It was a sobering experience to have to defeat a member of the alliance but what must be done had been done, and now I had to look onto the battle field and see him trying to put his mutilated body back together. I had no time to help him, the next round was coming right up and Goky needed a rest. Match Three: Resistance Is Futile vs. My Arch Rival (I didn't have enough time to know his strategy) Duel One: Winner: Me Life points of Me: 8000 Life points of Opp: 8000>5500>0 This was my Arch Rival, known to those at Zimmie's as Lunch Box. I tossed out Goku and he said, you think that's going to help you against me? Well he just had to open his mouth huh? Goku got ripping pissed, he was gonna feel the spirit bomb! It all started pretty slow between us nothing much happening, magic, defense monsters, nothing I could really use. Then Goku reached into my deck and handed me a Summoned Skull. I got my second SS next turn and waxed his life away. After this defeat he was angry with me, "How dare you defeat me, now you're gonna pay!" You know what's funny? I won the next duel too so how did I pay? Duel Two: Winner: Me Life points of Me: 8000>5700 Life points of Opp: 8000>4100>0 Lunch Box didn't like my Snatch Steal and Change of Heart in this duel because they forced him to lose. He hit me with a La Jinn, powered up with Witches Apprentice, and that was all I let him do. When my skulls came out to play, they came out ready to wreak havok, but not before I nuked all the magic and traps on the field. After that it was a free shot at his life. I looked on at all the carnage that once was his attack force with immense joy. I knew that somewhere on the battle field were his intestines, but I had taken from him something even more importaint, his mind! Match Four: Resistance Is Futile vs. Dragons Dragons Dragons Duel One: Winner: Me Life points of Me: 8000>6200 Life points of Opp: 8000>2450>0 "Pet my lizard" That's exactally what he told me before the duel, he was referring to his Garoozies. I refused several times but he was extatict about me rubbing the damned card, so I did, and then we started. I had to make him pay for having me touch a stupid one tribute for 1800 attack. He got a "Six" colored fish for the opener and that was all he could hit me with. I used Snatch Steal (I love this card now) and tributed for Summoned Skull. I attacked, he had Wabaku.... hey if it works, it works. He got Swords of Revealing Light on me, but on the second turn of his spell I got one of me MST's. I seiged his life with my monsters and that was the last of "Pet my lizard" Duel Two: Winner: Me Life points of Me: 8000 Life points of Opp: 8000>0 I don't remember what happened to his life, that's why it's an 8000 drain. I know that I whacked him with Summoned Skulls, used Snatch Steal on his TriHorned Dragon. It was fun to watch his life points get sucked into the vacuum of space. Match Five: Resistance Is Futile vs. You are dead, very dead. Duel One: Winner: Opp Life points of Me: 8000>5700>3400>0 Life points of Opp: 8000>6200 The champ, it was inevitable that I would have to face him. Those Goblin attack force of his were too powerfull for me to overtake.... that and the fact that all I could draw was magic and trap. It reminds me of when I had Exodia and the same thing happened to me..... why is it that I can't win cointosses and when it counts most I can't draw anything but magic and trap. Oh well. I used Change of Heart on his La Jinn and attacked him, it's al I could do. He blew me away, a midieaval attack force had stormed my field of machine guns and won. Duel Two: Winner: Opp Life points of Me: 8000>5500>0 Life points of Opp: 8000>4100>1600 I had him on the run, oh I had him on the run. My Summoned Skulls were running rampant after I nuked the field. Then the tides change, I got nuked. He tried to use call of the haunted on an SS in his graveyard but it went bye bye, cause I used MST on it. In the end I had my Regulation of Tribe on the field, but Jinzo had to come out and mess up my plans for victory. After the duel I remebered having Monster Reborn in my hand. I could have used it on my Summoned Skull. Too bad I didn't, I could've won. After Thoughts: It was good to get third though. The champ even congradulated my decks, cause every time he has to face me I give him a run for the money. He also told me I'm one of the best at Zimmie's. That's a nice fact to know, but only the top will ever fill my need for dueling completely. I will most definately be running this deck again next week, but it will be tweeked somewhat. In this way I can take the field from everyone. Zup to: Me: 5th round, my streak of not getting elimmed 1st round is now incredibly long, my streak of not getting elimmed 4th round had been growning since I got 5th place a while back. The Alliance: We all got beyond the 1st this time, lets keep it that way guys. The Champ: Every time I duel you I lose, but dueling you is raising my skill parabolicly, thanks. Goku: You served your purpose, and did it well, we're a great team. Ummm, no to: Me: What's with my rookie mistakes when the duels have really high stakes? This Weeks Bracket Setup: Allies needn't face each other untill at least the third round not the second. Tournament Pack Season 2: I these packs, I hate these packs, I hate these packs! Exodia kid: Your deck is good now, but big decks, no matter what, are always bad.
