It still sucks. I just need 4 or 5 cards and my gravekeeper deck could be made, but I can't find these cards! Tournament: We go through three 2 out of 3 rounds (no one gets eliminated) and you get three points for winning. Winning 2-0 is better than winning 2-1 and so forth. The people that have the most points and win to loss ratios go to the top 8 finals. This is where we play elimination. Prizes: 1st: $50 store credit towards YGO cards 2nd: $25 store credit towards YGO cards 3rd-4th: $10 store credit towards YGO cards (I believe) Everyone Else: One $3 YGO pack Again, I didn't want to buy YGO cards. He ended up letting me buy one thing that wasn't YGO but the rest I spent on MFC packs. He's thinking about letting the first place winner buy whatever they want because people (including me) are complaining. You see, his store focuses mainly on MTG cards. For some reason he overstocked on YGO cards and he overprices his singles and then he wonders why they aren't selling and basically uses the YGO tournaments as a way to clean out his stock. Also, because of this, he doesn't like to trade YGO cards for YGO cards. He'll trade MTG cards for YGO cards. This is REALLY lame. Not to mention his MTG tournaments let the MTG players buy whatever they want. The other tournament in this town only gives away 7 packs for first and that's definately not a good win, IMO. Duel Reports: --Duel #1 Lufia22 vs. Rachel-- Round 1 L: 8000 R: 8000-5800-3100-0 Round 2 L: 8000-7000 R: 8000-7200-5300-1900-0 I've become the official "hard to beat" guy. I hate being this because my deck is horrible and I hate winning like this. I simply don't invest money into YGO but I do play online and am an above average player. So everyone who goes up against me is usually scared. Same with this girl, although she had a little confidence, which was good. Looking at the LP count, however, you know I beat her pretty bad. Typical newbie deck. They think at this tournament (except for a couple of guys) that having a larger deck means you wont deck out. I'm sorry people, you will NEVER deck out unless you're up against a stall or deck destruction deck. However, these people are newbies and their games do last a long time, so whatever. I win. Woo hoo! What a suprise... --Duel #2 Lufia22 vs. Eric-- Round 1 L: 8000-6300 E: 8000-9000-7300-5400-3600-1800-0 Round 2 L: 8000-7500 E: 8000-6200-2500 This guy possibly has the crappiest deck up there. What can I say. His deck is at least 100 cards probably and he has no theme whatsoever. --Duel #3 Lufia22 vs. Ishmeal-- Round 1 L: 8000-7000-6200-5350 I: 8000-6000-4000-3000-200-0 Round 2 L: 8000-7800 I: 8000-6200-4800-1600-1100-1600-0 This guy is from the army. It's good do see a varied group but I'm sick of all these people who suck. Can't someone bring at least a little challenge?! There's only two-three people that I've ever played at the tournament that have presented a challenge (and that's not saying much since my deck sucks). What can I report? It was easy, I won, yay... Top 8 Elimination --Duel #4 Lufia22 vs. Micheal-- Round 1 L: 8000-7900-7200 M: 8000-5350-4550-1900-0 Round 2 L: 8000-7250 M: 8000-5100-3200-1600-0 I play this guy all the time in the tournaments. He got second one time because he got a bye in the final 8, which was extremely lame. He's half decent but never seems to be enough of a challenge for me. --Duel #5 Lufia22 vs. Arindr-- Round 1 L: 8000 A: 8000-6400-2900-0 Round 2 L: 8000-7000-3900-1800-0 A: 8000-7700-7200-5100-3200 Round 3 L: 8000-7800 A: 8000-4400-2800-0 This guy is a cop. I think he plays to win things for his son or something. Whatever, he's not that great. I was bound to get unlucky sometime in this tournament. Turns out I got unlucky in the second round of this duel. Why? Well, I drew tons of magics and traps and he kept putting Jinzo on the field. Simple as that. Otherwise I owned him. After the duel he remarked, "Now I know the 'unbeatable isn't so unbeatable." No ****, Sherlock. You got lucky, don't gloat about it trying to make yourself look better than you are. I still owned you and your stupid 1900 attackers. Really, his only power is the fact that he has 1900 attackers and a Jinzo. He's a nice guy, I just didn't like that last comment. Ok, so I was pissed off that I had to buy YGO cards. I mean, why buy YGO when I can buy anything in the store, namely manga? So I ask if I can buy the .Hack manga I came there for, which the store owner let me do. I promised that I would spend the rest on YGO packs so I bought 10 MFC packs. This is what really pissed me off. I got 9 rares and one UR (XYZ). What?! 9 rares in 10 packs! I should have at least gotten one SR! Ugh, I was so disapointed. XYZ looks cool, though. Props: -Um, I won? Like that was hard to predict with the players that were there -I got the .Hack manga I wanted -I got XYZ Slops: -It was too easy -Arindr's comment -9 rares in 10 packs
