I arrived at the tournament about 15 minutes early with my two friends. I paid the five dollar entry fee, and got a PSV pack, which had a Red Moon Baby. My friend got a Graverobber, and his brother got a JINZO!!! Now he is going to sell it and buy a Don Zaloog, what a jerk. I met a few of my other friends from school, and tried to trade for a Goblin Attack Force, but didnt make a single trade the whole day. Anyway, on to the tournament report.

Round One

Matt (Beatdown) vs. Kid with Hat (Zombie)

As I took out my deck, he notice my fake fusion deck, and told me his deck them, zombie. His deck was ok, but no match for mine.

Duel One

He went first, and played Dark Snake Syndrome, but did not know that both players take damage during their standby phase. He summoned some monster with 1750 attack, which got attacked by my Spear Dragon. On his turn, my Dragon got killed by a Royal Keeper, which he did not put in face down defense mode. My Opticlops took it out, but was later destroyed. My Kycoo, Opticlops, and Reborn Spear Dragon quickly finished off the duel.

Duel Two

He went first, and set two traps, but no monsters. I used Heavy Storm, followed by Delinquent Duo. Spear Dragon attacked directly, but was destroyed next turn. I play Dark Hole, and attacked with my Exiled Force. He used Raigeki, and ended his turn. Next turn, I got him in a Yata-Lock, but he did not surrender. I played The Forceful Sentry, sending back his Harpies Feather Duster, and I eventually used Call of the Haunted on Spear Dragon, and ended the match.

I saw my friend use Dice Jar for the win against another kid I knew from school, and I checked the bracket, I saw another friend from my school would be my opponent if he won the first round, and he did by an amazing combo which I missed.

Round Two

Matt (Beatdown) vs. Andrew (Mixed Beatdown)

His deck was strange, having lots of surprises every turn. I put away my fusion deck, since he knew better.

Duel One

He went first setting three cards, including a monster. I used Heavy Storm, destroying a Magic Jammer and a Seven Tools. I used Delinquent Duo and Nobleman of Crossout, and ended my turn. He set a monster, which I attacked with Sangan, Cyber Jar. I got Kuriboh and Kycoo the field, but he used Offerings to the Doomed. Next turn, I summoned Yata and attacked along with my Kuriboh, defended by Swords of Revealing Light. He used Torrential Tribute next time I tried Yata, and I eventually got out The Dark Ruler and La Jinn. When La Jinn attacked, he used Offering on Ha Des, meaning more Bubonic Vermin. I eventually got out three monsters, including Exiled Force, and used Snatch Steal on his Celtic Guardian, O_o but he used Gravity Bind. Sangan attacked, meaning nothing since Snatch Steal. He destroyed Sangan with another Offerings to the Doom. He gained from Snatch Steal, but I killed his useless Celtic Guardian with Exiled Force.

He tried to defend himself, but my Jinzo overwhelmed his Gravity Bing in the end.

Duel Two

He went first, setting a monster. I set Sangan, and ended my turn. He used Raigeki, tributed the face down monster for Summoned Skull, and attacked directly. I used Change of Heart to bring out Jinzo for a direct attack, and Feather Dusted his traps. He set a monster, so I tributed Jinzo for Ha Des. He used Dark Hole, and then attacked with Sangan. Fiber Jar was used three times, mine twice and his once, so I could not remember most of the duel. There was a lot of Torrential Tribute too, but my Bazoo killed him in the end after trying two attacks stopped by Waboku and Kuriboh.

I saw my friend, who was playing right next to me; use Dice Jar to win one round, and Last Turn with Jowgen to win the match. There was a disagreement from his opponent, but the store owner looked it up, proving my friend right.

Round Three

Matt (Beatdown) vs. Kid (Hand Disruption Deck)

I played a kid who I knew had a Don Zaloog, which I tried to trade for, but knew nothing else about his deck.

Duel One

He went first, only setting a monster. I set my Witch and ended my turn. He tried to use Creature Swap, but I used Imperial Order. He summoned a Witch, and attacked mine, taking a little damage. Then he used Dark Hole, and got Yata with the face down Sangan, and quickly got me in a lock.

Duel Two

I went first, and summoned a Kycoo. He destroyed it, and used Marauding Captain to get out an Exiled Force, and attacked directly. I destroyed them, and used Monster Reborn and summoned an Opticlops, and eventually beat him with a few direct attacks.

Duel Three

Within a few turns, after I used Delinquent Duo, he cleared my field and got a White Magical Hat with Gravity Bind. I did not get anything to help me, and he finished me off with his Jinzo.

My friend beat his brother both games by using Last Turn, but lost in the next round to the brother of the kid who beat me.
