I finally got a Fiber Jar for one of my Airknights, so that part's cool. I also took out Banisher... damn, though, I could've used it. Solemns went out for Disapears. Disappear isn't as useless as you all think. It can be used to make your opponent waste their revival cards. It can also be used in conjunction with Gilazaurus and Spear Cretin. I want to pack some Relinquisheds, so I can make better use of those dinos, but I only have one set, and only those 2 dinos. Another dino and a couple more relinquished sets and I'm going to go up to 75% output. Right now, it's at 65% output. I was talking to Donald post-tourney and he told me how his deck was already at its peak and didn't really need PHG... ;P I knew he was the kinda guy to peak early ;P Heheh... But, as good as I can do, I can go up to 82-83% ownage. That's at best, and only if I had all the cards I needed... meh, I guess I can't pump out a 100% deck, can I? Don't matter... meh, and if I had to rate Donald's deck and his skill... it's about 95% ownage. Yeah. At least right now... who knows about later... $6 to enter TP3 pack for entering, 3 for the championship. *shakes fist* where is that TP4? =/ Round 1: Voltaire(Eternal) vs. Billy(???) Ummm... well, I've seen Billy around here sometimes, but it hasn't dawned on me whether he is a regular player or not. Well, heh, I guess I only ever notice my opponents and the top players... meh. Admittedly, I can't hang with the top players: Serf, Jeff, Donald, Edmond, Steffon, Brandon... meh, but it doesn't matter. I can still... do... well... I got into this one pretty quick, starting off with an early hand of draw spells. His move starts with draw spells as well. I start beating him down after releasing some souls. I start off with a 3-monster advantage, doing an instant 3000 damage and destroying some ghosts... HIT!! Goblin lands a blow. What is he thinking? There are 2 monsters that can beat the crap out of it. HIT! I start beating him down... A little more... a little more... it takes me a little while, but I take control. Then, that ugly Jinzo comes out. Ugh. He takes out one of my Kycoos. I have a set Serpent and a I set a Witch. He hits the Snake and hits the Witch. I Witch out Cyber. Boom. We have pretty even control... but... I manage to snake out a win the next turn. Phew. Well, even though I can't hang with the top players of A World of Books, this is where I can manage to struggle my way through. With a little luck... well, scratch that, maybe a lot of luck... the luck 'o the draw... or whatever. Or so they say. ...ehem. Well, anyway... the next round starts with me taking 700 damage, and then a slow increase in more damage. Gilasaurus fixes a little problem of the single-summon-per-turn rule for me, making it easier for me to use X-Force. Also, I'm thinking of slapping a Fiend Megacyber in my deck. Just for that extra summon power. Just think: I could be able to fill the field in 1 turn: Megacyber, Gilazaurus, Troop Commander. That's 4 monsters. Back to the report. Even though he's removed 2 cards from play before I did, I'm confident that I'm not losing. I keep hitting him slowly, and I'm able to remove like 10+ of his cards. I've hunted his dead... it's time to slaughter him. And it ends. 2-0, just like that. Phew. Round 2?: Voltaire(Eternal) vs. Nick(Nick T) Nick ummm... quit playing Yu-Gi-Oh! And sold off all his cards. At least the good ones. Now he plays under an assumed identity, Nick, and plays only using Donald's deck with the assumed identity of "Weak Deck," which is a deck with basically "no staples." Ummm... whatever. It's got some pretty good cards, like Bazoo and Pot of Greed... Skull Lair... blah blah blah... I'm not going to go into it. But basically, he's taunting me and David, who he beat earlier, by playing a deck he doesn't think can win... well, we'll see if I can prove him wrong.... err... what am I saying? I take the early lead with 2 Kycoos out, preventing his stupid Skull Lair and not giving in to his lame-ass monkey. There's a time he has a lapse of judgment when he tries to pull Bazoo with his SANGAN... with my Kcyoo on the field. Then he does something else, but I slowly take him down... s... l... o... w... l... y... Yeah, that slow. His Skull Lairs manage to kill some, but Kcyoo is called and haunts the field. That way, nothing happens to my monsters. This round, I take early. By starting to lock Nick down early with my Imperial Order, I nearly stall him out of the game. I actually took so much damage that I was down to 2500 mostly by my own Imperial upkeep, but it didn't really matter as that and a Kcyoo locked him down. He showed me his hand at the end of the match and here's what there was: Painful Choice, Card Destruction, Pot of Greed, two Graceful Charities, and a Bazoo. ;P when you've been locked out, you should pack an extra key. Round 2: Voltaire(Eternal) vs. Brandon(The King of Hearts) Well, it's Voltaire vs. Brandon, round 3. Let's go over the previous results again, shall we? First me, then him. But, truthfully, I can't hang with his super- star skills... or can I? Oh, and you didn't read wrong: it IS round 2. Because of some weird crap, the duel against Billy was 0.5 or the duel against Nick was 1.5, I don't know... whatever. He starts off with... Confiscation. Then, he proceeds to do his super-analysis. What the hell... he was calling out my moves, and telling me what was in my hand like I couldn't tell for my self... so much that Serf, who was watching us, started to make fun of him and was laughing. Then he predicted what I drew... I was like... "What... the... hell..." and I started to stare through my shiny glasses... trying to see how he hid that Millenium Eye so well... I took off the glasses... and he was still predicting my moves... telling me that I set a Sinister, or I set a Magic Jammer... meh, I guess I can't win... and I didn't. I start this one by side-decking 2 Disappears, 2 Gilasaurus, 2 Maraudings and a Spear Cretin out, and putting in 3 Troops and 3 Germs, plus a Lair. Lair came in handy. But I did it all in front of him and he started telling me, "He put in Skull Lair to get rid of my monsters really fast, and he wants to block my hits with his Troops and Germs." I was thinking... "At least you're wrong about that... I want to feed my Lair with Troops and Germs... ;P" And I go early on... and on his second turn, I've squashed his tomato and ROASTED his bird. But as the turns go on, I can't seem to get a monster. Then I get Witch... it's killed, but what do I get? *looks at field* Crap. He has a White Hat. I grab a sinister. It comes back and blocks another blow. Next turn, I set it again and try to re-use witch. You know you're losing bad when your opponent is controlling YOUR grave and YOU are playing graveyard control... but my sinister is gone... and I can only use witch to grab... Germ. I set Germ. WHACK! Noble'd. Oh well... can't win them all...
