Well I was in Virginia on vacation so I thought I would hit a tournament while I was there.

I got there at about 5:10 and I had twenty minutes left before it started so I registered then watched other people play to see how good they were and some of them were pretty good, but others were really bad. Then this guy came up to me and asked me to duel and I said yes. We played three times and he whooped me every time! But he kept getting the same cards so I was kind of suspicious.

The tournament started and they announced the pairings for the masters bracket (13 and up) and the young bloods (12 and under) I said I was 12, but really I’m 13. So they finally called my name and I was playing some kid named Adam.

Round 1:

Crazy Eyes vs. Adam (60 card deck with no theme)

We started and he decided to go first and he played ookazi (whoopee!) and set a monster. On my turn I played change of heart and tributed for Freed then equipped him with axe and he took 3300. On his turn he set one m/t and one mon and ended. My turn, I use freed’s effect to get goblin then play dark hole. I use monster reborn to get freed and then play goblin with mage and united on freed attack game.

Round 2:

Crazy Eyes vs. ????? (he got a bye first round)

I don’t really remember what happened all I know was that in the end I attacked with dark zebra to win.

Round 3: Semi Finals

Crazy Eyes vs. ????? (really good beat down)

I don’t remember what happened in the first half, but I do remember that I attacked his fiber jar when I was at 1800 and he was at 3800and then since I couldn’t summon another monster this turn so I set on m/t then ended. On his turn he played injection (I hate injection!) he paid the lp and attacked and then I played waboku! (phew!) he had to end, but he did set 2 m/t. My turn, I played harpies, raigeki, goblin, game.

I was done before the other semi-finalists so I watched and sat around till my match

Round 4: Finals

Crazy Eyes vs. Scott, Sean, something like that (old school beat down)

Since this was the finals we played best 2/3. The first game he beat me with harpie’s brother because I couldn’t get anything in my draws. In the second game I beat him with the rock spirit and gaia power. In the third game I pulled out my freed then he whipped out those stupid scapegoats, but then I played fairy meteor crush, bam game!

So I claimed my prizes and was new store young bloods champ! (short title). Then I looked at the masters prizes and they were a freed and swords for second! What!

Props:

Winning the tournament

Having good matches

Another reinforcement of the army and graceful

To my Freed

And to my cool deck that I built myself

Slops:

The cool masters prizes that I don’t get

To my crappy first place prizes

To not get to go there anymore

To people who steal cards (you woosies)
