It survived in soapy water when I accidentally dropped it. Everything was okay, but 3 common cards were not that damage...I thought they were gone, but they were still useable. I did pretty well for myself. Last week...I did okay...but I got farther than last week. You'll see why. ROUND 1: #18 (Me) vs #6 (Newbie) This kid didn't take that long to take down in 2 matches. The first one became my favorite strategy. Yomi Ship and Book of Taiyou. but unfortunately...I got to looking a few hours after this round...and I made a big error because I miss read Yomi Ship. Using Book of Taiyou revealed his man-eater, using it's effect destroying Yomi Ship. But, I left out an important detail that missed my eyes. In order for a monster to be destroyed, it has to battle it....well....I missed that part and said that Man-eater was destroyed. But anyway, I used Hayabusa Knight with Black Pendent and took off some life points. Then, he set a monster down and I summoned Cannon Soldier, took out the monster and attacked twice. It was basically the same thing till that match ended. The 2nd one was faster. The kid let me go first and I set Cannon Soldier down. Then, he set a monster down. I flipped Cannon Soldier and placed a Black Pendent on it. Then I played Hayabusa Knight with an Axe of Despair. I had cannon Soldier destroy the monster and then, Hayabusa Knight and took out half of his lifepoints. It was the same thing again and the match was over. He had a semigood deck, the problem was my miss judgment on Yomi Ship and none of the other players next to me didn't tell me. Oh well...I'll remember next time. ^^' Round 1 Victory- #18 ROUND 2: #18 (Me) vs #25 (Late Arrival Newbie) Well, I would had a bye in this round, but a kid came in late and they let them through. Since I was the only one with a bye, they set me up with him. The matches were alittle bit longer than the first round, he was okay. Most of the time, I was using Cannon Soldier's effect, Swarm of Scarabs and Hayabusa Knight. The match, was alittle faint in my mind. One of the things I remember was forgetting how many lifepoints he had left so I had to do...long math...and I mean...long....The other thing I remembered, was when I attacked with Hyozanryu, he used Nutrient Z and kept the match longer. But....it was only for one more turn. The kid was pretty good in my book. He's just have to arrive on time next time. ^^ Round 2 Victory- #18 ROUND 3 aka The Semi-Quarter Finals*I think*- #18 (Me) vs #1 (Travis) That round....was long...and hard....Travis...one of the undefeated of the store....and I had to go ageist him. But I did like his chibi *Mini in Japanese* cheerleaders that were there. Well...they were suppost to help me keep track of my lifepoints since I forgotten my calculator. But they didn't. Around the time, I still didn't know about he whole Yomi Ship effect that I missed with the whole battle phase and I did that combo...but he didn't have a bug. One of the cards that really helped was my Imperial Order...stopped his freaking Nobleman of Crossout...I hate that card.....>.>'. He beat me in the first match in only about...oh...I guess 10 minutes...but the 2 match was one that everyone was surprised at. The 2nd match...I've gotten the BEST HAND EVER! and Travis...had really nothing. He had Jinzo out....I Dark Holed it and attacked him. When he tried to use Feather Duster, I used Imperial Order. The match I guess lasted 1 minute after the last one. Some of the people were surprised. The only time I could beat him was if I decked him out in a no lifepoint duel. It was freaky....The next one....well...I almost beat him...lets just say that. I tried to use the Dark Hole on Jinzo and tried to attack with a Magician of Faith with an Axe...but he kinda chained it with his freaking Ring of Destruction. Then, it was down hill from there and I lost. Oh well...^^ That was kinda cool...beating Travis in the 2nd match was pretty cool. I would've lost in the next round if I had beat him. The others in that round...already beaten me in past tournaments..... PROPS!: A new deck from Monji tomorrow. Yep fokes, he is giving me his deck...I was...well...shocked...^^ Spear Dragon I've gotten last week The pack of cards that had Cobra Jar. Travis's Cheerleading Squad The bye I almost had SLOPS: One of Travis's Cheerleaders almost took the Destiny Board set I had in my side deck #25 for arriving late and taking away my little bye. The Rain Travis's Cheerleaders for not keeping my life point count. Questions? Suggestions? Flames to burn my compost heap? Morgan Donley moon_guardian@hotmail.com
