I started the day off with a rude awakening by my little brother whom wanted to practice duel. I played him with this deck while he used an awesome beatdown. His deck had 3 Goblin Attack Forces,3 Geminis, 3 kycoos, Jinzo, and good magic's like Harpie's feather duster. I thought for sure this weak deck could not win and if it did just barely squeeze the win in......I DOMINATED!! So I head over to the tournament and they call off the names and we begin the tournament. Round 1 Suicide Bomber Vs. Craig Bricco 1st duel I saw that this kid had like an 80 card deck and I knew I had already won just because of my experience. First move I set something like a jinzo # 7, and then he plays baby dragon and kills it.Hmmm the kid has bad cards in his deck but may kick my butt. So with his attack being too high for anything in my hand I set a mask of darkness (with no traps in my graveyard). He summons dream clown but for some reason doesn't attack (Whew! that was close) So next turn I still have jack crap in my hand and set a magician of faith (no magic cards in my graveyard). He starts off by switching his dream clown to defense to kill my mask of darkness and to my luck sacrifices both his cards for the red eyes black dragon. He said I'll attack! I told him he couldn't and when he asked why not I revealed Gravity Bind. He was not able to attack for the rest of the game. Finished him off with 2 jinzo 7's and a rainbow flower with an axe. me: 8000 lp him: 0lp 2nd duel He pulled a bunch of beatdown cards and it with 3 clowns on the field it didn't last very long. I totally ran this duel like I owned it. me: 8000 lp him: 0lp Round 2 Suicide Bomber Vs. Arturo Martin 1st duel This kid had the worst exodia deck ever!! He had like 50 cards, had beatdown cards, and the cards I hate the most Toll and Ground Collapse. I saw that it took him forever to finish the first round and anticipated a slow slow game. He started of playing a monster in defense I dark holed it and attacked for 1200 with a dream clown. He played Ground Collapse and summoned crass clown and attacked my dream clown but I played Gravity bind. Next turn I summon another dream clown switched the one I had in defense and attacked for 1200. I continued this and within 5 turns I had 2 dream clown's 1 crass clown, a face down Man-eater bug and magician of faith. He obviously had a clear field I also used every MST on his Ground Collapses and Tolls. He forfeit. me: 8000 lp him: forfeit 2nd duel I expected this to be the same as last duel except I didn't count on pulling such an awesome hand. I put in some side deck cards consisting of 2 exchanges, card destruction, and a sangan. I had about 2 clowns in the end but the real damage was those jinzo 7's that attacked repeatedly and when I flipped morphing jar he forfeit again. What a quitter! me:7200 lp him:forfeit Round 3 Suicide Bomber Vs. Shawn Flores Alright it took me a while to find this kid among the group but turns out I had to face a little shorty. He was about 13 and seem to have known who I was. His friends warned that he was doomed and he stepped up bravely to accept the inevitable. 1st duel He played a beatdown but it was beatdown that people used like when metal raiders came out. The first turn he played bistro butcher. I set 2 traps and let him go. He attacked with bistro and I allowed it just to get some cards. He attacked with a La Jinn and I Mirror Forced that. Muahaha pure evil! Well with my brand new hand of like 7 cards I summoned dream clown and attacked. He played Heavy storm and I was upset but not too upset because I lost a gravity bind but had another in my hand. He attacked me with a 7 colored fish. Next turn I set my other gb and set a crass clown. Next I played jinzo 7 and attacked. He spent his turns building his forces my forces built as well I had crass clown, dream clown, and 2 jinzo 7's. I only destroyed face-down monsters and whittled his life points to nothing. me: 5600 lp him: 0 lp 2nd duel This pretty much started the same as the other one ended but with a less stoppable last attack. I built up my force and so did he. I was forced to prohibition Giant Soldier of Stone. I attacked a little and cannon soldier'd my force to a direct 2500. me: 7100 him: 0 Round 4 Suicide Bomber Vs. Jawon This was a very amusing match for me because I controlled everything. 1st duel I started off with Messenger of Peace and a prohibition for Heavy Storm. I set a crass clown. He had nothing to stop me so he summoned an 1800atk monster to save his lp I summoned jinzo 7 and attacked saving the clown effect for something useful. He used snatch steal on my jinzo 7 allowing me to gain more than I recieved this lasted for awile. He set a card in defense and ended. I summoned dream clown returned the face-down card to his hand and attacked again for 500. I set up a decent force. Whittled away with cannon soldier launching my face-up MOF, MOD, MEB, and cyber jar b/c I didn't want him to get a better hand so I didn't use the effect. 10 min. from the beginning I won. me: 9100 lp him: 0 2nd duel He was very angry by this point and you could see it on his face. He didn't have much in his deck that could stop me. It ended with a suicidal cannon soldier team. He tried hard but this day he learned that his deck isn't able to face everything. me: 4900 lp him: 0 lp Round 5 Suicide Bomber Vs. David Valle Ok I once taught this kid to be good with the cards that were available. The problem was I helped too many people the easy kids soon became my arch enemies. They couldn't be stopped. Now the world is safe again a new box was released and they are stuck in the past and this kid makes his deck a little too big with all the wrong cards. 1st round I know this kid just recently got harpie's feather duster so I start out with gravity bind and Prohibition for a heavy storm. I summon a dream clown and end. He doesn't have much to work with which is very possible with his deck and he sets a couple traps and summons an attacking monster. I slowly build up my clowns destroying his face-down card he feels will allow him to gain control and I add another prohibition for Harpie feather duster and messenger of peace. I do some life point damage with jinzo 7's and used change of heart on his face down card...Wow! it's a magician of faith so I sacrifice it with cannon soldier and change of heart his kycoo and sack it too. a few turns later he gets out Jinzo and I Raigeki it. No biggie. uh-oh!!!! He finally got the card he needs... he summons man-eater bug and adds united we stand...OH CRAP! That sneaks under gravity bind...too bad he wasn't thinking because he had two other face-up monsters and boosted his attack to 2850 and couldn't get under Messenger of Peace. So give a round of applause for that move (clap, clap, clap...moron). I finish with cannon soldier. me: 3700 lp him: 0 lp 2nd round I ended up having the greatest field ever consisting of 2 prohibitions for Harpie Feather Duster and Heavy Storm, Messenger of Peace, Gravity Bind, and Imperial order, I had 2 clowns, cannon soldier, and effect cards. He tried to go at me with man-eater bugs and cyber jar but that attempt was in vain. He was about to deck me and he still had 3300 life points left but I pulled my favorite card and with the field full I set it. I said "Your turn" and activated Ceasefire! This did 4000 points of direct damage winning me the game. me: 2700 lp him: 0 lp Round 6(final round) Suicide Bomber Vs. Jimmy(Jr. Tournament Champ) This kid has a pretty universal deck. It's nice to have because it can face almost everything, but against the mightyiest beatdown it usually falls victim to it's power. 1st duel I know this kid has hyabusa knight and I know he has equip cards. He also has Giant Soldier of Stone. I was a tad bit nervous not knowing what kind of hand he beheld. I am not sure what happened exactly this round but I'm pretty sure it was close but I think it consisted of a prohibition and both Messenger of Peace and Gravity bind. He did manage to get hyabusa knight out and do a little damage but because he could not boost it my dream clown killed it. I soon got back the field and got his life points low enough for the cannon soldier ritual which needs 5 sacrifices haha 2500 directly and no way to stop it. me: 4800 lp him: 0 lp side deck: He went into his side deck to retrieve some cards such as prohibition and a couple others, but I saw him take out ceasefire! A little memo to Jimmy because I know his dad will see this "Don't take out ceasefire when you are playing a deck full of effect monsters." I do like the little paper though that said what to take out and what to replace it with for every type of deck. 2nd duel Really soon he released jinzo and destroyed my field entirely no traps, no monsters and attacked. I played cannon soldier, change of heart on his jinzo, attacked directly for 3800, then sacrificed it for an additional 500. It was awesome. I had held that in my hand for a while now waiting patiently for jinzo(where was the limiter removal when you needed it haha). With only 3700lp I hoped it would soon be over I ended that turn with a messenger of peace. It's kind of nice having 3 of both MOP and GB b/c you get them like every 6 or 7 cards almost 1 for every first hand. I played ceasefire once for 1500 damage and set a mask of darkness. Next turn, flipped MOD, and got back ceasefire. I set ceasefire and ended. He drew prohibition but could not prohibit ceasefire because it was already on the field so he prohibitioned Gravity bind. I drew a jinzo 7 and set it in defense flipped ceasefire for 2500 damage and won the match. Well that's the tournament. It was the first time ever in our store that a gravity bind deck won. With a tourny with tons of people the beatdown always comes in first so I set the record. It was fun and tense I hope I can keep it up with future theme decks I plan to play. Props: To Bill for holding the biggest tournament in Illinois. To pojo for allowing me to read the many tips I use in my decks. To myself and my own genius to think of the many other combos possible. To ceasefire for being awesome. To Bill again for having every card I could ever need and giving me the hook up. Slops: To the heart of the cards for failing my friend cody and allowing him to lose in the 2nd round. To myself for allowing my deck to be 41 cards instead of 40. To change of heart for allowing me to kill jinzo with my cannon soldier I really needed that. To anyone who attempts to email me at Gz83@aol.com only to tell me my deck sucks. Well in the words of a suicide bomber, "Die you B*&^*%*&^" Wait scratch that... Goodbye, I hope you enjoyed my report. Email me at Gz83@aol.com
