!!!Darkness Beatdown Deck (Echoes)!!! Maker of Tourney Report and Owner of Deck: Robert Sanders Location of Tournament and Date: Trademart@Moline/ 4/19/03 Hello, all duelists! As the same as the last few weeks, I have typed up a tournament report. First, as we all have memorized, my Darkness Beatdown Deck! Monsters: x25 2x Kuriboh 2x Magician of Faith 3x Man-Eater Bug 3x Witch's Apprentice 1x Cyber Jar 1x Sangan 1x Witch of the Black Forest 2x Mystic Tomato 3x La Jinn the Mystical Genie of the Lamp 3x Kycoo the Ghost Destroyer 1x Jinzo (Let's try this again. 1x The almighty and powerful Jinzo!!!) 3x Summoned Skull Magics: x21 3x Axe of Despair 1x Change of Heart 1x Confiscation 1x Dark Hole 1x Delinquent Duo 2x Graceful Charity 2x Heavy Storm 1x Mage Power 1x Monster Reborn 2x Mystic Plasma Zone 1x Raigeki 1x Swords of Revealing Light 1x The Forceful Sentry 2x Tribute to the Doomed 1x United We Stand Traps: x4 1x Imperial Order 1x Magic Cylinders 1x Mirror Force 1x Torrential Tribute This deck makes me proud. Anyways, my deck is based around on getting the upper hand, whatever the cost, and destroying the opponent before he has any chance to do anything else. Jinzo can help especially at the beginning. Enough about me talking about my deck. The tournament was located at Trademart, which is mentioned at the top, and began at 11:00 AM - 4:30 PM (which it was supposed to end at 4:00). I walked in with a cake in my hands for the duelists there from my birthday yesterday and twenty dollars in my pocket, which I bought booster packs with. My five rares from LON was Spirit Message N, Spirit Message A, Riryoku Field, Fire Princess, and my second Gemini Elf!! Pure luck! Anyways, Jeric, William, Andy, Broc and his two brothers, and many more people were there. I set up the experienced tournament, while the store owner, Tod, set up the inexperienced. Here is what happened: Round One: Me vs. some kid (I have got to keep track of names!!) This was a quick match, but the kid kept his spirits up the entire time. He tried to overpower me with Yugi Starter Deck monsters like Witty Phantom, but didn't stand a chance as I depleted his life points on about the fifth turn. The second wasn't much better, but lasted a couple minutes longer. Why do I always take on a beatable deck on the first round? Oh well... the kid did great. Score: 2-0 Round Two: Me vs. William Hollister (Likes to be called "The Bird") Boy, would this "bird" pull up cards at the right time! Me and Jeric kept complaining that he get's too lucky. Anyways, he had an almost identical deck like mine and Jeric's, with a few exceptions. He played smaller monsters, like Blackland Fire Dragon and Ryu Kishin Powered. They seemed weak to my Kycoo the Ghost Destroyers, but what was face down on the Magic/Trap card zone frightened me. He pulled up cards at the right time and closely won the first match. The second match, on the other hand, was in the bag for me. Swords of Revealing Light was a great staller, as well as Jinzo being the offender. His life points were depleted with not much trouble. The third match was on the "edge of your seat." We threw what we had at each other, but at the end, I was the victor. Nice try, William, or Bird. Score- 4-1 Round Three (Final Round): Me vs. Broc (Water Deck) (Finally!!!) I am so glad he found his water deck. The "Women Gone Wild" deck was nice, but I just had to fight an old rivaled deck. As I was saying, Broc started with the upper hand as I was forced to play defensive until I was down to less than 2000 life points. With Witch of the Black Forest KOed, I pulled a Cyber Jar on him and changed the game. His hand was cut to size by Confiscation and Forceful Sentry, leaving him defenseless, and Jinzo showed his face, taking out his life points. On the second round, though, it was him that was on the run. He pulled up Amphibian Beast and attacked me twice, but thanks to the fuzzy furballs (Kuriboh), I was safe from damage. I pulled up Heavy Storm on his Umiiruka, brought up La Jinn with an Axe of Despair, and destroyed his Beast. Next went the Cure Mermaid. Last went his life points with Jinzo. I would have finished him off with La Jinn, but I have to finish with style. Broc put up an excellent fight this tourament (like every tournament). Score: 6-1 After the match against Broc's Water Deck, he wanted to have fun with his "Women Gone Wild" deck against me, and I couldn't refuse. I won the first match, lost the second, but beat him on the third. Victory didn't matter, but the "kicks and giggles." I won first place and won a pack from door prizes. I got a Jar of Greed from it, which I didn't need, but was proud of it's rarity. Until next time, happy dueling!!! Props: -Jinzo once again saves the day -Jeric for supporting me and being my best friend -The Gemini Elf, Fire Princess, Jar of Greed, and the Riryoku Field from packs -I got First Place -Yesterday was my birthday -Special Thanks to Tod for making this tournament happen -No headache from all the kids.
