Everything seems to happen so randomly in the higher-level matches. Hopefully, some better notes will give some more detail to my matches. Round 1: Andy (disorganized deck) Duel 1: Kycoo on crack (Axe) ended it. He got a Cyber Jar to go off, which gave me several monsters. He played The Dark Door, but it didn't save him against a Bazoo's assault later on. 8000 to his 8000-5200-2400-0 Duel 2: He showed some intelligence here. He. Seven. Tools'd. My. Mirror. Force. Granted, that was his only damage he did to me the whole game was with that one attack, but the card he attacked with ended up helping me. Thank you The Bistro Butcher. 8000-5300 (Bistro with two low-level Equips) to his 8000-7000 (Seven Tools) -- 4700 (GAF) -- 900 (Summoned Skull + Nimble + Bazoo) -- 0 (2x GAF + Bazoo + Nim + SS) Round 2: Mike vs. Luke Luke is a very young competitor, but always puts up a good fight. He doesn't have the cards to put together an ultimate deck yet, but when he gets them, watch out, we'll have another prodigy on our hands. Duel 1: He gained 2300 LP right off the start by comboing Waboku and Enchanted Javelin against my GAF. After this, Gemini Elf with an Axe started to take vengeance. Nobleman of Crossout got rid of two straight Defense monsters. He did hit me with a White Magical Hat on my Magician of Faith, and selected...Sinister Serpent. I felt bad for him. 8000-7500 (?) -- 6800 (??) -- 6000 (White Magical Hat vs. MoF?) to his 8000-10300-9200 (Gem + Axe vs. 1800) -- 6300 (Gem Axe) -- 7300 (Dian Keto) -- 4100 (Gem + Axe + MoF) -- 400 (Kycoo vs. WMH along with Axed Gem) -- 0 Duel 2: He scared me at the start of this one. He got me for 1550 with Maha Vailo. I was able to Change of Heart his 7 Colored Fish. He used Red Medicine, then Cyber Jar came into play. My Kycoo hit an Island Turtle, then a Haya and Sinister Serpent joined their ranks later on. 8000-6450 (Maha) -- 5300 (??) to his 8000-6200 (CoH 7 Colored) -- 6700 (Red Medicine) -- 4000 (GAF + something?) -- 0 Duel 3 (Semi-finals) Jesse (Hyper Beatdown) I HATE BYES. Especially when they penalize you. Why not give someone else the bye and let me take out Silent Bob? Going into this duel, I was mighty pissed. Somehow, I always take crappy notes when it comes to the good Duels. I fall into this trance... The only thing I recorded for the firs duel were the LP... 8000-5650-0 to his 8000-4650-2150. Duel 2: Hard blows hit again. I forget how the 50 is factoring into this. How in the heck did I leave the last two numbers in his LP at 50? Big hits seemed to dominate. 8000-7900 (Gem vs. Kycoo) to his 8000-3850-1450 (Jinzo) - 0 Every game involved Jinzo. Every single game. What a suprise. I seriously got scared at the start of Duel 3, as he took me down to 2650 with the first shot. Then the comeback started. Clear field, then GAF. Kycoo with an Axe followed. Did 800 somewhere (UWS mon vs. non-UWS mon)...then a Reborn for the final kill. 8000-2650-750 (Gem Elf) to his 8000-5700-2900-2100-0 Finals: Cory (Hyper Beatdown) I got no luck here. Got killed 2-0. Every single time I could have mounted a comeback, either Nimble Momonga or Jinzo got in the way. Game one left me monster-screwed, as he removed my Sinister Serpent from play. 8000-7850-7050-6600-4700-2300-0 to his 8000-7000-5550-3550-1250 Duel 2: More of the same, but a gigantic kill with his great opener. He did 6300 on the first attacking turn. I started a comeback, but three Nimbles thwarted me. Jinzo finished me off. 8000-1700-0 to his 8000-4600-4100-7100 We split the prize, one of each starter deck. He took Joey, giving me Pegasus. God, now I have 5 Graceful Charity in my possession... I may be behind him in rankings now, but at least we're both ahead of Jesse. MewtwoStruckBack@aol.com
