.::The Masks of Shame::. Starscream's Newest! Tomorrow is Yesterday Inc. Loves Park IL 4-5-03 Cost: $2.00?! Participants: 32 Yep. It's that time again. Another Day, another duel. Unlike all the other tournaments, this one only costed $2.00. Due to the fact that UD hasnt sent out T3 packs... I ain't complainin'. Today we could choose between LoN or PSV as a Prize. I took a LoN. My nephew has gotten into the dueling game recently, so he came with me to the shop. His deck's alright. But we improved upon it. Below is the deck I used. RITUALS 2x Relinquished SWEEPS 2x Senju of the Thousand Hands 2x Sonic Bird 1x Witch of the Black Forest (Is the Forest REALLY Black?) After losing, he lent me his Mage Power...didn't help really.) Well, to my dismay, Tomorrow is Yesterday only holds unsancted tourneys the 3rd Thursday of every month. FOOEY!! This week at school we began our 4th term(YES!!). And the group I sit with at lunch is very interested in learning how to play Yu-Gi-Oh. I, in turn, shall be taught the joys of the DBZ CCG/TCG. Moving on to what counts, Zach has dropped outta the dueling game for good. He's through. Quite a shame, really. He had potential. Taking his place this week is the ever-happy Gordon, Brent was there, and the fabled Ryan was AWOL. Toss my nephew Austin in, and we had ourselves quite the pow-wow. The weather was absolutly horrible this weekend. I'm sick of cold! It's April for cryin' out loud!! While we were out in the cold waiting to go in, me and Brent engaged in a competition of Rock, Paper, Scissors. I won 4, he won 4...tied...when we FINALLY go inside and practice-duel, I lost...not good! This week's deck version is quite alien compared to the last 2 weeks. A fond farewell to the 1000 Eyes(Idol and Restrict) and a heart-felt Bonvoyage to one of my ever-faithful Relinquished. They hang out in my sidedeck box. A metal DBZ Collector's tin that my watch came in. My nephew's deck is the remants of my old beatdown deck which usually got me to the second round. So he wasn't too bad off. Round 1: Starscream Vs. Little Kid (No Deck Type) This kid seemed nice enough. He was a little new, so I had to explain stuff to him. In the 3rd match, there was some problems with his registration. Seems he was under 13, and nobody had authorized it OK for him to play. So they had him call his family. They appearently didn't want him playing, because he came in and just said, 'you win'. Poor kid. -=Match 1(Kid)=- I drew nothing this round. The only good thing I had out was Solem Wishes. Early on, I got my Gravity Bind. That kept me alfoat for some time. I got in a good hit, but not enough. Here are the life point totals. Me: <8000->5500->6000->6500->7000->7500->8000->8500->6000->6500->1500->0 Him: <8000->4800 -=Match 2(Starscream)=- I won here! I started off by attacking with my Senju. He then killed it...with what i cant remember... Other then that, the real interesting thing I did was win this battle with my Mask Of Darkness. Here are the totals. Me: <8000->6000->5800 Him: <8000->6600->4100->1600->700->0 -=Match 3(Starscream)=- We never got to play any cards. He had to forfeit the match. Round 2: Starscream Vs. Mike(?) -=Match 1(Mike)=- This kid was good. Real good. Later in the day, me, my nephew, this kid and Brent tag-team dueled. It was a quick round. I had out my Gravity Bind. He destroyed it, I lost. Stupid United We Stand... Me: <8000->5600->5350->4350->3900->2900->1400->0 Mike:<8000> -=Match 2 (Mike)=- Yep...I lost once again. Here's the rundown... He Beat me with a MoF jucied up with Mage Power and an Axe. Me: <8000->7300->6200->5500->6000->2600->0 Mike: <8000> Well...made it to Round 2. I might reinstate the TER...I'll think it over. Nothin real specail this weekend. Sorry guys. Gordon did make it to round 2. That is a first for him. He was really really happy bout it. I also pulled a Revival Jam from my LoN pack from losing my duel. I came home and duel with my nephew using it. It and Jam Defender are pretty awesome cards. Props to the Jam. Me and Gordon might head out to another card shop and start doin tourneys there too. So keep your eyes open. YAYS: Tomorrow Is Yesterday: Giving LoN and PSV away as prizes.
