Hello!  This is my first tournament report.  I've only been playing YGO for 
about 2 1/2 months as of yesterday, and I have only been in 5 tourneys.  After 
reaching the semi-finals last week, I was hoping to get even farther this week.

Here's my deck..It's basically a generic beatdown that I've been tweaking.

Anyways, I got there around 12.  The single elim-tourney doesn't start till 1, 
so I had some time to get some practice duels in and make some trades.  After a 
few duels, I went to this guy Mike who asked me to bring him an extra Thousand 
Eyes Idol I had for his TER deck.  I ended up trading my Mirror Wall and TEI for 
his Bazoo, which went right into my deck.  I also traded my 1/e Megamorph for a 
second Axe of Despair, which went right into my deck as well.

It finally came time to start the tourney.  For the first round I got paired up 
w/ the same kid I faced last week that I crushed.

Round 1: Scott (~Anarchy~) vs. Jordan (Exodia)
Duel 1: This duel was a fun one.  I can't remember much of the details from it, 
but basically he couldn't keep much on the field due to my Penguin Soldier and 
Raigeki and such. He ended up having 3 pieces in his hand when I won..
Me: 7200
Him: 0

Duel 2: This followed the same direction as the first duel.  He ended up launching 
his Sangan, and reborning it...but I jammed it w/ Jammer.  If he had been allowed 
to reborn it, he would have won because he had 4 pieces in his hand.  So I ended 
up getting Jinzo on the field and powering him up for the win.
Me: 6400
Him: 0

Afterwards, I found out he was running 2 Sangans (which is illegal now), and I could 
have reported it and secured the match right there and then.  But the store owner 
made an announcement saying that since 6 people had made the same mistake, that the 
first round would stand as is, and that you had to edit your decks to comply with 
new restrictions ASAP for the next round.

While I was waiting around for the second round, my new friend (also named Scott) got 
eliminated, so he let me borrow his Snatch Steal and Gemini Elf.  We exchange cards 
like this, but we say you can't use them if you end up facing the top duelists in the store.

Due to a computer error, the second round pairings had to be redone...and I had the 
bye for that round before the error.  Curses!  So after the pairings were re-done, I 
ended up having to face one of the top duelists in the store....greaaaaat!!

Round 2: Scott (~Anarchy~) Vs. Josh (Necrofear/Beatdown)
	Well, since Josh is one of the best duelists in the store, I was ready to give 
the cards back I borrowed from Scott, but Josh said it's alright.  So we began..

Duel 1: This started out quickly.  It was basically summon a monster, attack..get it 
destroyed next turn.  Summon, attack, get destroyed next turn.  He had a La Jinn out 
a bit later in the duel, and I summoned the Gemini Elf.  It destroyed the La Jinn, and 
Josh just looked at the other Scott and was like "We gotta have a talk about lending 
cards later on.." haha.. I ended up countering one of his summons, slapped an axe on 
elf, and won the duel.

Duel 2: This one wasn't so favorable.  I ended up getting a slight upperhand right 
away by destroying 3-4 of his fiend monsters.  Little did I know this was his plan 
all along.  Suddenly he starts removing 3 monsters from his graveyard and I'm like 
"ooo..a Bazoo".  he was like "nope", then slapped down Necrofear, and also played a 
Mystic Plasma Zone.  Necrofear at 2700 isn't something to laugh at.  I didn't get any 
good monsters the rest of the duel, and couldn't kill it with my Raigeki because then 
he would get it's evil effect.
Winner: Josh

Duel 3: This one went the same way as duel 2.  He got his necrofear out, and I had no 
monsters in my hand.  I had 2 axes, a raigeki, Heavy Storm, and Card Destruction in my 
hand.  So, I took a major gamble and played card destruction.  Low and behold, I drew 
Magician of Faith, waboku, jammer, and SNATCH STEAL!  So, I snatched his Necrofear, set 
MoF, and attacked for 2700 since he had MPZ out again. He tried to do something, but I 
jammed it.  Next turn I flipped MoF, got the axe back, and attacked for the win.
Result: I win!

We had a short laugh on how he lost because he said I could use the cards.  Oh well, 
I'll lose to him next week if I face him again probably.

3rd Round: Scott (~Anarchy~) Vs. ??? (Exodia/Beatdown)

I forget the kids name, but his deck was a strange combination.
Duel 1: He walked all over me.  He flipped a gravity bind when I tried to attack with 
Elf, and was trap holing like everything I tried to summon.  All it seemed to be was 
Raigeki, flip MoF, raigeki, flip another MoF...etc..etc..  He definitely won this one.

Duel 2: This one I actually had more of a chance.  I had a slight lead halfway through, 
then he did the MoF/Raigeki combo and cleared my field.  I got to search for my Jinzo, 
and was going to get it out next turn.  However, he flipped another MoF, Raigeki'd again, 
tribed it for Skull, used Call of The Haunted to get another Skull, used Premature Burial 
to get something else, and attacked for the win.

AFter losing I realized I really gotta still work on my deck.  I turned in my duelist 
sheet and got a pack of LON at the end.  Once again I got nothing from the pack, just 
my 3rd Nuvia The Wicked.

PROPS:
- Me beating one of the top duelists in the store
- Getting my second Axe and a Bazoo
- Getting to the third round for the 3rd week in a row
- For Compendium Collectables for hosting another good tourney

SLOPS:
- For someone stealing my SDP Magic Jammer from my deck
- For people going on a Mr. Hero run when I didn't have any extra money
- For losing to some exodia-hybrid due to stupid mistakes
- For pulling crap out of my 2 packs I got
- For it snowing when I was driving home (it was 60 earlier in the day)
- For finding out I got ripped of a LON box I ordered off of E-bay
