He also had a beatdown deck. I don’t really remember how this duel went but it went by pretty quick, about 5 minutes total. The only time he hit me was when he brought out his Summoned Skull. Both times I brought out Hayabusa Knight with a power up and just hacked away at his life points. 1st match: 8000-0 2nd match: 5500-0 2nd Round Me vs Kevin Tran (my best friend) He ran a beatdown too. He defended early pretty well with Waboku. I eventually got his field clear with Trunade and attacked him with my GAF and Gemini Elves. He got a last push with a Mech Chaser supped up with Axes, but I had a Cylinder waiting. In the second match he got a crap draw with nothing but magics and one monster. He laid it face down, so I got my Mad Sword Beast with a Mage Power and slowly hacked at hi LP. He got me pretty good with a Cylinder when I attacked with a powered up Bazoo, but I killed him in the next turn. This duel was hard cuz I didn’t want to keep my friend from placing. 1st match: 8000-0 2nd match: 6900-0 3rd Round Me vs Tyler This guy handed my @$$ to me last week with his suicide beatdown deck, so I was out for retribution. He started out with a face down monster and a face down M/T. I then played Swords to flip over his monster, which was a Hysteric Fairy. I then Snatch Stole it to tribute for my Jinzo. He negated my Jinzo with a Solemn Judgement; frustration starts to kick in at this point. I placed a Waboku and a Magic Cylinder. He brought out a Kycoo with an Axe and attacked; of course I Cylindered his attack. I was able to draw my Hayabusa and I equipped it with 2 Axes and took out his LP. He then summoned a Jarai Gumo; he called it wrong. He was down to about 700 LP. I played Waboku to stop the attack. I don’t remember much, but I remembered I attacked a face down monster with my Mad Sword Beast. The second match went by much quicker. This stared out similar to the first one with me drawing Change of Heart and trying to tribute it for my Jinzo; he, again, Solemn Judgmented my summon. He then basically killed himself when he called it wrong with his 2 Gumos. Revenge is oh so sweet! 1st Match: 4000-0 2nd Match: 5800-0 Final Match Me vs Mike We both ended up winning all of our duels 2-0 so we faced each other in the Final Match. I was kinda nervous, because this was the first time I played Mike and I didn’t know what he had in his deck. The first game went down to the wire. He played a Harpies Brother and a face down M/T. I then played Heavy Storm and Snatch Stole his Harpies. I then Summoned a Bazoo with an Axe and a Mage Power. He was down to 3600 LP. I thought that I had this one in the bag but I was so wrong. He Dark Holed my monsters and summoned a Witch of the Black with and Monster Reborned my Bazoo. He attacked and I activated Waboku. That was close. I drew a friggin Jinzo. In his turn he attacked my LP directly. I was down to 4400 LP. I then drew a Change of Heart and tributed his Bazoo for my Jinzo. I attacked his Witch and he brought out Hayabusa Knight. It gets kinda fuzzy after this but I remember that he was down to 900 LP and I was down to 700 LP. For some reason the second matches for me were kinda lucky today. I remember taking him out pretty quick with a powered up Hayabusa. 1st Match: 700-0 2nd Match: 6700-0 Props: For getting first place for the first time. For my friends Johnnie and Calvin getting 3rd and 5th repectively. For getting Kycoo and Dark Spirit of the Silent in my prize packs. For trading my 2nd Cylinders and a Mirror Force for a Gemini, Mage power, United we Stand and an Axe. Slops: For that annoying kid that kept on crying and surrendering whenever he lost some LP. For Kevin not placing. My name is Duy Do. Yall can email me at jake_jeckel_tajb@yahoo.com or chat with me on my AIM, skylineturks001. Thanks.
