All right everyone i went into the tournament last week with a 50 card exodia deck (i know it was stupid) so i took out all of my long card combos and made a super speed 41 card exodia deck. If you have any questions about what i put in this deck, comments about it, or suggestions that i should consider, please email me at the above address

Monsters (13)
5x exodia pieces
2x sangan
1x witch of the black forest
1x mask of darkness
2x penguin soldier
2x magician of faith

Magic (18)
2x card of safe return
1x raigeki
3x the shallow grave
1x pot of greed
2x scapegoat
3x graceful charity
1x premature burial
1x change of heart
1x painful choice
1x swords of revealing light
1x monster reborn
1x dark hole

Trap (10)
2x magic jammer
2x waboku
1x backup soldier
1x call of the haunted
1x mirror force
1x torrential tribute
1x mask of restrict
1x seven tools of the bandit

Before i go onto the tournament i would like to explain my deck a little bit. I put in the scapegoats to stall my opponent. The penguin soldiers are to take out two of my opponents monster with just one face down one. The graceful charities are there to help me draw about 1/12th of my deck at a time. The painful choice is also only used as a deck thinner. In one of my duels against one of my friends i started by drawing a piece of 2 pieces of exodia, 2 graceful charities, a painful choice and a mirror force. I ended up playing the painful choice first, then my 2 charities, then i drew a pot of greed, and then another charity. By the end of my first turn i had gone through half of my deck and won by my second turn. That is why i call this deck the Supreme Speed Exodia. And now... onto the torunament

Ahhhh, after a week of thinking how i can do my deck i finally got to show off my experience. I would also like to say that in this tournament my brother and my brother's friend were also in it. I made my brother a very effective direct damage deck that was able to beat my own. I would like to see how well it works on beatdown decks though. I also made my brother's friend a relinquished deck and that deck should do very well too. There ended up being 50 people there.

Round 1 -- Supreme Speed Exodia vs. Andrew Brown (little kid with a deck to the sky)
First i would like to say that i fell sorry for this kid because his deck had to have been at least 80 cards. Ok now onto my deul with him.

Duel #1 -- My starting hand had a graceful and 1 piece. I used the graceful to draw another graceful and another piece. I used my new graceful to bring out a pot of greed and then use that. I was then able to play a sangan in defence mode and he attacked it. This gave me 4 pieces and a shallow grave in my hand. Just as soon as i played the shallow grave a huge gust of wind came and blew all of his cards. We had to restart the game inside... So once we got inside it was practically the same storry and i beat him in about 3 turns.
Me -- 7800 (got a small attack)
Andrew -- 8300

Duel #2 -- Practically the same thing exept that i got out a scapegoat and a rageiki to eliminate his monsters and make him pissed off. He almost won this round by playing a card destruction but i magic jammered it.
Me -- 8000
Andrew -- 8000

I then waited for about 20 min to see my next opponent. His name was Chris and he ran a really efficient beatdown deck. I asked the store owner who he was and he said that Chris was one of the best duelists in the store. As soon as i heard that I hoped that i would be able to get it over with quickly

Round 2 -- Supreme Speed Exodia vs. Chris (beatdown)

Duel #1 -- This guy was a great duelist and knew how to use all of his cards. He beat me in the first round by bringing out gemini elf and a summoned skull and just wiping away my life points.
Me -- 0000
Chris -- 5200

Duel #2 -- this is where it got a little interesting. Chris kept on playing monsters while i kep on playing traps to destroy them. By pulling off a combo of different charities and pot of greeds i was able to get 4 exodia pieces in my hand when i was left with 2300 life points. I then drew a sangan and put it in defence mode. He was too scared to attack so the next turn i destroyed my own sangan and won the game.
Me -- 2300
Chris -- 3300

Duel #3 -- This game was one of the hardest games that i have ever had. His first move on me was with a powered up maha vailio doing 3050 damage to me. At one point he got his maha up to 5050 attack points. He then played card destruction on my hand when i had 3 pieces of exodia in it and then i knew that i was in trouble. I tried to play some of my magic cards but he just played imperial order and kept the effect for 3 turns bringing him to 5900. I had a sangan, witch, and his wall of illusion on the field when he had a giant soldier of the stone and a summoned skull. I drew change of heart, took his skull, and thenattacked him for about 4300 damage. The next turn i drew a rageiki and eliminated his life points.
Me -- 3450
Chris 0000

I now had made it into the quarter finals. My next opponent was going to be a guy named dereck who was also well known around the store.

Round 3 -- Supreme Speed Exodia vs. dereck (light based elemental deck)
Dereck's deck was kind of odd with a lot of soul of purity and light but his combos worked fairly well.

Duel #1 -- I had no chance in this duel. His onslought of hysteric fairies and his soul of purity and light just took out my life points. He only lost 800 life points from using a premature burial.
Me -- 0000
Derek -- 7200

Duel #2 -- I decided to go first on the next duel, played scapegoat, and then he used solemn judgement on my graceful charity. I ended up only drawing 2 pieces normally and the rest by suiciding my sangan that i kept on reborning.
Me -- 5600
Dereck -- 3200

Duel #3 -- this was also one of the closest duels that i have ever had. We kept on fighting back and forth, him with his faires, me with my torrential tribute, swords, rageiki, and mirror force. Dereck managed to get me down to 700 life points, it was then my turn to draw. I had 4 pieces of exodia in my hand and I knew that this would be my last turn. I drew a mask of darkness and since he had 2 monsters on the field i knew i had lost. Dereck allowed me to go for one more turn and the next card that i drew was a WITCH OF THE BLACK FOREST! If i had only survived for one more turn i would have made it onto the semifinals. Oh well, untill next time i duel, i will continue to improve my deck and find a way to beat those guys.
